      • Dynamic Frequency and Duty Cycle Control Method for Fast Pulse-Charging of Lithium Battery Based on Polarization Curve

        Pulse-based charging method for battery cells has been recognized as a fast and efficient way to overcome the shortcoming of slow charging time in distributed battery cells. The pulse frequency for controlling the battery charge will change within a certain range. The optimal frequency is determined to achieve the minimized battery impedance. The adaptation of a duty cycle of the pulse by decreasing the concentrated polarization guarantees a safe charging operation of all the distributed cells within a temperature range of 5℃ to 45℃. The proposed charging process can be completed to about 80% of its maximum capacity in less than 20 minutes without damaging the battery characteristics. The newly designed charging results show that about two times faster than the conventional constant-current constant-voltage (CC-CV) charging method and 52% more efficient than the constant current fast charging method.

        Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a transmissible respiratory disease that was initially reported in Wuhan, China in December 2019. With the alarming levels of COVID-19 spread worldwide, the World Health Organization characterized COVID-19 as a pandemic. Over the past several months, chest CT has played a vital role in early identification, disease severity assessment, and dynamic disease course monitoring of COVID-19. The published data has enriched our knowledge on the etiology, epidemiology, clinical manifestations, and pathologic findings of COVID-19. Additionally, as the imaging spectrum of the disease continues to be defined, extrapulmonary infections or other complications will require further attention. This review aims to provide an updated framework and essential knowledge with which radiologists can better understand COVID-19.

        중국 조손가정 초기 성인기 손자녀의 부모화 경험과 대인관계문제 간의 관계에 대한 연구 -불안 애착의 매개효과를 중심으로

        본 연구는 부모화 경험, 불안 애착이 조손가정 초기 성인기 손자녀의 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향을 밝히고자 하는 목적으로 실시되었다. 중국에 거주하는 18~29세의 조부모와 단독적으로 3년 이상의 생활경험을 갖고 있는 209명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였으며, SPSS 23.0와 Process Macro 3.3 프로그램을 사용하여 통계 분석을 실시하였다. 주요 결과, 첫째, 조손가정 초기 성인기 손자녀의 부모화 경험, 불안 애착, 대인관계문제는 중간보다 조금 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모화 경험과 불안 애착이 대인관계문제에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 부모화 경험과 대인관계문제 간의 관계에서 불안 애착의 부분 매개효과가 확인되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 조손가정 손자녀의 부모화 경험과 대인관계문제에 주목할 필요가 있다는 것을 보이고 조손가정을 위한 프로그램과 교육을 개발하는 필요성을 제시하였고 상담 및 치료 개입에 대해 논의하였다. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify the influence of parentification and anxiety attachment on interpersonal relationship problems among early adult grandchildren in multigenerational households. Methods: The study was conducted on 209 participants coming from multigenerational households aged 18 to 29 living in China, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro 3.3 Results: First, the grandchildren have experienced extensive parentification, have formed anxiety attachment, and have faced problems in interpersonal relationships. Second, parentification and anxiety attachment had significant effects on interpersonal problems, and a partial mediating effect of anxiety attachment was confirmed in the relationship between parentification and interpersonal problems. Conclusions: This study suggests that it is necessary to pay attention to the parentification and interpersonal relationships and to develop meaningful programs for multigenerational households.

        Quantitative analysis of the influence of eccentricity on the thermal characteristics of in-wheel motor

        An in-wheel motor (IWM) drive system highly integrates the drive motor, deceleration mechanism, and brake, among others, in the wheel, resulting in difficulty dissipating heat. The uneven temperature distribution of the motor is caused by its eccentricity owing to road excitation, tire bounce, and installation errors. This non-uniformity generates thermal stress that endangers motor operation and also causes the motor‘s local temperature to increase substantially, thereby affecting its performance. To solve this problem, this study takes a 15 kW IWM as research object to quantitatively analyze the temperature distribution of rated and peak conditions of the motor under different eccentricities. The influence law of eccentricity on the thermal characteristics of IWM is obtained. Results show that the eccentricity of motor has substantial influence on the temperature distribution of stator and rotor.

        Single nucleotide polymorphism-based analysis of the genetic structure of the Min pig conserved population

        Objective: The study aims to uncover the genetic diversity and unique genetic structure of the Min pig conserved population, divide the nucleus conservation population, and construct the molecular pedigree. Methods: We used KPS Porcine Breeding Chip v1 50K for SNP detection of 94 samples (31♂, 63♀) in the Min pig conserved population from Lanxi breeding Farm. Results: The polymorphic marker ratio (PN), the observed heterozygosity (Ho), and the expected heterozygosity (He) were 0.663, 0.335, and 0.330, respectively. The pedigreebased inbreeding coefficients (FPED) was significantly different from those estimated from runs of homozygosity (FROH) and single nucleotide polymorphism (FSNP) based on genome. The Pearson correlation coefficient between FROH and FSNP was significant (p<0.05). The effective population content (Ne) showed a continuously decreasing trend. The rate of decline was the slowest from 200 to 50 generations ago (r = 0.95), then accelerated slightly from 50 to 5 generations ago (1.40<r<1.50) and increased significantly in the last 5 generations (r = 2.6). According to the composition of Chinese lineage, we separated the nucleus conservation population (81 individuals) and the candidate conservation population (13 individuals) of Min pig, then the nucleus conservation population of Min pig was divided into 9 families by genomic information matrix. Conclusion: Our study indicated that the genetic diversity of the Min pig conserved population was inadequate. Due to the introgression of European commercial pig breeds and the unscientific breeding process, it is necessary to construct the molecular pedigree of the nucleus conservation population for the Min pig.         One‐Pot Hydrothermal Synthesis of Highly Fluorescent Polyethyleneimine‐capped Copper Nanoclusters for Specific Detection of Rifampicin

        Herein, a novel bright?green and highly fluorescent polyethyleneimine capped copper nanoclusters (CuNCs@PEI) has been hydrothermally synthesized, which is employed as a fluorescence probe to determine rifampicin. Under optimum synthetic conditions, the morphology, surface chemistry and optical features of resulting CuNCs@PEI are well characterized by transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV?Vis absorption spectra, transient and steady?state fluorescence. In comparison to previous reports, the new species with a larger diameter of approximately 3 nm exhibit higher fluorescence quantum yield (QY) up to nearly 10.7%, and demonstrate tolerability to extreme pH, high ionic strengths as well as long?term UV irradiation. These excellent optical properties ascribe to unique grain size and surface chemical features of products, which are further discussed in this work. In addition, we employed as?prepared CuNCs@PEI to detect rifampicin based on fluorescence quenching phenomenon. The fluorescence intensity of probe is linearly proportional to rifampicin over the concentration rage from 0 to 20??M, where the limit of detection (LOD) is 50?nM. Besides, this probe can be also used to assay rifampicin in serum samples with satisfactory recoveries.

        Selective Detection of Trace Metronidazole by Using a Magnetic Molecularly Imprinted Polymer-based Fluorescent Probe

        A magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer-based fluorescent (MIP-FL) probe has been synthesized by embedding glutathione-stabilized gold nanoclusters (GSH-AuNCs) and Fe3O4 nanoparticles (Fe3O4NPs) into silica composites. The Fe3O4NPs/AuNCs@MIPs are characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and UV?Vis absorption spectroscopy. The results show that the spherical Fe3O4NPs/AuNCs@MIPs contain a core-shell structure with GSH-AuNCs anchored on the surface of silica-protected Fe3O4NPs. As a fluorescence probe (excitation: 360?nm, emission: 615?nm), Fe3O4NPs/AuNCs@MIPs can selectively detect metronidazole (MNZ) among other nitroimidazoles (ronidazole, ornidazole, and tinidazole). During the detection, the fluorescence intensity of the MIP-FL probe drops gradually with increasing MNZ concentration. The sensitive linear range of the fluorescence probe is from 0 to 5 ?M, and the limit of detection is 4.2 nM. After the recognition sites interact with the template, the occurrence of charge transfer from the GSH-AuNCs to MNZ results in fluorescence quenching. Finally, a real sample test has been performed in spiked milk. Satisfactory recoveries spanning from 96% to 102% indicate that Fe3O4NPs/AuNCs@MIPs enable highly sensitive detection of MNZ based on fluorescence signal output, while the MIPs also have enrichment potential for the target from complex samples due to the magnetic properties.

        Protective Effect of Andrographolide on Alleviating Chronic Alcoholic Liver Disease in Mice by Inhibiting Nuclear Factor Kappa B and Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha Activation

        Much research has indicated that alcoholic liver disease (ALD) is associated with oxidative stress and inflammation induced by ethanol, and that numerous antioxidants could effectively alleviate such injuries. Moreover, recent studies have identified andrographolide (AD) as having strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities, which can block oxidative damage associated with nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB)-mediated inflammation. However, the biological role and potential mechanism of AD in its protection against ALD have not been fully characterized. To observe the possible effect of AD, male C57BL/6J mice received ethanol through intragastrical gavage for 12 weeks in this study. The ethanol group was separated into five subgroups: (1) model group (n = 10); (2) silymarin group (0.1 mg/g body weight [BW], n = 10); (3) AD (0.05 mg/g BW) group (n = 10); (4) AD (0.1 mg/g BW) group (n = 10); and (5) AD (0.2 mg/g BW) group (n = 10). Mice in AD groups were treated orally by gavage once per day. The experimental results show that serum aminotransferase, liver lipids, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant capacities were significantly changed in the model group after alcohol treatment, and the liver tissue histological findings showed pathological changes. Compared with the model group, treatment with AD improved serum aminotransferase, liver function, lipid accumulation, and hepatic reactive oxygen species levels. And AD decreased the hepatic NF-κB and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) protein expression of ALD mice. This research demonstrated that AD can alleviate liver pathological injury and oxidative stress in mice exposed to ethanol by decreasing the expression of NF-κB and TNF-α.

        Steering angle based adaptive headlighting controller for safe operation in emergency situation is proposed by adopting the compensation method of the symmetric two angle sensor data. Adding the intelligence in automotive applications results in more chance of the unsafe operations, requiring the integration of additional safety functions. In this paper, we introduce our efforts to integrate the safety observer with the adaptive headlight controller, still providing safe angle control in an abnormal situation by the steering angle, if the symmetric behavior of two angles is broken in the unknown interruption, the backup angles are restored into the active angle control value.
