Taxonomic notes on the genus Liriomyza Mik(Diptera : Agromyzidae) in Korea

한국산 풍뎅이붙이과에 대한 문헌의 조사와 1979년부터 남한에서 채집한 표본 및 타기관 소장표본 등 2,000여 개체를 검토하였다. 과거의 기록은 Heyden (1887) 이후 최근까지 5아과 16속 43종이었다. 표본의 조사 결과 1아과,2속3종, 1아종이 새로 밝혀졌으며,총 6아과 46종에 대한 檢索表, 硏究史, 分布地 등을 열거하였다. 또한 수컷 재료가 있는 23종은 雄性外部生殖器의 ??査顯黴?? 寫眞을 첨부하였다. Korean hister beetles had been recorded 43 species from about 40 local faunistic reports and we newly found three species and one subspecies, Notodoma fungorum, Dendrophilus xavieri Hetaerius optatus, and Hypocaccus varians hastsune within about 2,000 examples collected from South Korea since 1979. Total examined taxa of the samples are 31 species of 17 genera in 6 subfamilies and they are explained by the key, recording history, localities and others. And the male aedeagus of 23 species are taken the photos with stereo electron microscope.

The genus Sphathius is belong to the subfamily Doryctinae in the family Braconidae and are described with >300 species in the world (Shenefelt and Marsh, 1976). This genus is distinguished from other winged Doryctinae by 1) forewings with three submarginal cells; 2) first subdiscal cell of forewing closed; and 3) first metasomal segment petiolate, widening apically, lacking basal wing-like projections, and inserted on propodeum near coxal bases (Marsh, 1997). For the purpose of finding the biological agent for Asian longhorned beetle (ALB; Anoplophora glabripennis (Motschulsky)) and Citrus longhorned beetle (CLB; A. chinensis (Förster)), we had installed the ALB- and CLB-infested sentinel logs to attract parasitoids at experimental field of the Korea National Arboretum during summer season in 2014. Several L1 and L2 CLB larvae were found attacked by braconid larvae that were reared to adult stage. Their larvae are identified to Spathius gwangneungensis sp. nov. belong to the Spathius exarator species group. This new species has special characteristics as following; Body reddish brown or dark reddish brown, body length 2.5~3.7mm and forewing length 2.2~3.0mm in female and body length 2.1~2.6mm and forewing length 1.5~2.0mm in male, hind femur distinctly transversely aciculate dorsally, forewing more or less infuscate with a longitudinal hyaline band medially, vein m-cu of hind wing interstitial, second tergite entirely sculptured without striation, and third to fifth tergites basally sculptured. Ovipositor sheath 0.6 times as long as metasoma.
굴파리류에 기생하는 한국産 Dacnusa屬(벌목: 고치벌과: 장승입고치벌아과)의 2미기록종

Decnusa속 (벌목:고치벌과:장승입고치벌아과)의 2종 Dacnusa(Aphanta) sasakawai Takada와 Dacnusa(Dacnusa) nipponica Takada를 한국미기록종으로 보고한다. 전종은 Liriomyza broniae(Kaltenbach), 오이잎굴파리와 Chromatomyia horticole(Gourea), 완두굴파리에 기생했으며, 후종은 완두굴파리에 기생했다. Dacnusa (Aphanta) sasakawai Takada and Dacnusa (Dacnusa) nipponica Takada are reported for the first time from Korea with their redescription and figures. The former species was parasitic on the leafminers Liriomyza bryoniae (Kaltenbach) and Chromatomyia horticola (Gourea), and the latter was parasitic on the C. horticola.

Korean Species of the Genus Ascogaster Wesmael(Hymenoptera : Braconidae : Cheloninae)

한국산 Ascogaster속을 정리한 결과 20종이 동정되어, 3종은 신종으로 기재하고, 9종은 한국 미기록종으로 보고한다. Ascogaster nilena Papp, 1989를 A. flvomaculatus Tobias, 1986의 동종이명으로 정리하였고, 한국산 Ascogaster속에 대한 검색표를 작성하였다. Twenty species of the genus were recognized from Korea. Of them, three new species are described and nine species are reported for the first time. A new synonym is established: Ascogaster flavomaculatus Tobias, 1986 = A. nilena Papp, 1989, syn. n. A key to the species of Korean Ascogaster is presented.
A New Record of the Genus Toxares Haliday (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Aphidiinae) from Korea

The genus Toxares (Braconidae: Aphidiinae) is reported for the first time in Korea. Members of Toxares are known as solitary koinobiont endoparasitoids especially specific for aphidine aphids. In this study, Toxares deltiger (Haliday, 1833) is found as new to Korea, which has a wide host range for 31 aphid species within Aphidinae. Thus, this species would be useful as natural enemy for biological control in the future. Diagnosis and host information are included.

In a protein molecule, α-helices are important for protein structure, function, and binding to other proteins, so the analysis on the structure of helices has been researched. Since an interaction between two helices is evaluated based on their axes, massive errors in protein structure analysis would be caused if a curved or kinked long α-helix is considered as a linear one. In this paper, we present an algorithm to reconstruct α-helices in a protein molecule as a sequence of straight helices under given threshold.
