Analytical Solution for Horizontal Tension of Main Cable in Erection of Stiffening Girder

        Cuijuan Li,Huawen Ye,Maolin Tang,Xiaomin Yuan 대한토목학회 2018 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.22 No.10

The horizontal tension of main cable is a key parameter to guarantee the safety of tower, form gravity stiffness and keep main cable shape correct during erection of stiffening girders. Instead of complicated Finite Element Modeling and iterative algorithms, simply analytical solutions of horizontal tension of main cable were deduced for two classical erection methods of stiffening girder based on the mathematical analogue and work-energy principle. Numerical method was also adopted to verify the analytical solutions on analysis of a single span suspension bridge. The results from analytical solution are found to be in good agreement with the numerical results. The theoretical results show that the presented analytical solutions can be easily applied in the calculation of the horizontal tension of main cable in any erection stage.

      • Stability analysis of drug delivery equipment in sports and exercise actions

Cuijuan Wang Techno-Press 2023 Advances in nano research Vol.14 No.2

Nanomotors are gaining popularity as novel drug delivery methods since they can move rapidly, penetrate deeply into tissues, and be regulated. The ability of manufactured nanomotors to swiftly transport therapeutic payloads to their intended location constitutes a revolutionary nanomedicine strategy. The nanomotors for the drug delivery purpose are released in the blood flow under the different physical conditions, so the stability investigation of these devices is essential before the production, especially in the sport and physical exercise conditions that the blood flow enhances. As a result, using dynamic analysis, this article investigates the stability of the nanomotor released in the blood flow when sport and physical activity circumstances increase blood flow. The considered nanodevice is made of a central motor, and nanotubes are used for the nanomotor blade, which is the drug capsule. Finally, the stability examination of nanomotor as the drug delivery equipment is discussed in detail, and the proposed results can present beneficial results in designing and producing small-scale intelligent devices.

Contrast-Enhanced Spectral Mammography Versus Ultrasonography: Diagnostic Performance in Symptomatic Patients with Dense Breasts

        Zhongfei Lu,Cuijuan Hao,Yan Pan,Ning Mao,Xin Wang,Xundi Yin 대한영상의학회 2020 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.21 No.4

Objective: To compare the diagnostic performance of contrast-enhanced spectral mammography (CESM) versus ultrasonography (US) in symptomatic patients with dense breasts, while using histology as the gold standard. Materials and Methods: After obtaining approval from the local ethics board, this prospective study collected data from patients with symptomatic breasts who underwent CESM and US examinations from May 1, 2017 to September 30, 2017. We then selected those with dense breasts and pathological results as our sample population. Both CESM and US results were classified by a radiologist through the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System, and the results were compared with their corresponding histological results. The chi-square test was conducted to compare the diagnostic performance of CESM and US, and the receiver operating characteristic curves for the two imaging modalities were obtained. Results: A total of 131 lesions from 115 patients with dense breasts were included in this study. Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV), and accuracy were 93.8%, 88.1%, 88.2%, 93.7%, and 90.8% for CESM, and 90.6%, 82.1%, 82.9%, 90.2%, and 86.3% for US, respectively. The p values for sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV, and accuracy were 0.687, 0.388, 0.370, 0.702, and 0.238, respectively. The area under the curve of CESM (0.917) was comparable with that of US (0.884); however, the differences between CESM and US were not statistically significant (p = 0.225). Eight false-positive cases and 4 false-negative cases for breast cancer were found in CESM, while 12 false-positive cases and 6 false-negative cases were found in US. Conclusion: The diagnostic performances of CESM and US are comparable in symptomatic women with dense breasts; however, the routine use of additional US imaging is questionable for lesions that can be detected by CESM.

Diversity and Antiaflatoxigenic Activities of Culturable Filamentous Fungi from Deep-Sea Sediments of the South Atlantic Ocean

        ( Ying Zhou ),( Xiujun Gao ),( Cuijuan Shi ),( Mengying Li ),( Wenwen Jia ),( Zongze Shao ),( Peisheng Yan ) 한국균학회 2021 Mycobiology Vol.49 No.2

Despite recent studies, relatively few are known about the diversity of fungal communities in the deep Atlantic Ocean. In this study, we investigated the diversity of fungal communities in 15 different deep-sea sediments from the South Atlantic Ocean with a culturedependent approach followed by phylogenetic analysis of ITS sequences. A total of 29 fungal strains were isolated from the 15 deep-sea sediments. These strains belong to four fungal genera, including Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Penicillium, and Alternaria. Penicillium, accounting for 44.8% of the total fungal isolates, was a dominant genus. The antiaflatoxigenic activity of these deep-sea fungal isolates was studied. Surprisingly, most of the strains showed moderate to strong antiaflatoxigenic activity. Four isolates, belonging to species of Penicillium polonicum, Penicillium chrysogenum, Aspergillus versicolor, and Cladosporium cladosporioides, could completely inhibit not only the mycelial growth of Aspergillus parasiticus mutant strain NFRI-95, but also the aflatoxin production. To our knowledge, this is the first report to investigate the antiaflatoxigenic activity of culturable deep-sea fungi. Our results provide new insights into the community composition of fungi in the deep South Atlantic Ocean. The high proportion of strains that displayed antiaflatoxigenic activity demonstrates that deep-sea fungi from the Atlantic Ocean are valuable resources for mining bioactive compounds.

Distributed Security Control for Complex Cyber-physical Systems Against Denial-of-service Attacks

        Xiaojie Huang,Da-Wei Ding,Zhiqiang Li,Cuijuan An 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.2

This paper investigates the problem of distributed security control for complex cyber-physical systems against denial-of-service (DoS) attacks. A distributed security controller with interconnected control nodes is proposed on the basis of piecewise Lyapunov functions. The bounds of attack frequency and attack duration are explicitly calculated to achieve security synchronization. Meanwhile, an event-based data update strategy is proposed to resist the negative influence of DoS attacks on data transmission. Finally, a simulation example is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Event-triggered Control for Heterogeneous Discrete-time Multi-agent Systems Subject to Uncertainties and Noises

        Jie Zhang,Da-Wei Ding,Qing Li,Cuijuan An 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2020 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.18 No.3

This paper investigates the event-triggered control problem of heterogeneous discrete-time multi-agent systems (MASs) subject to uncertainties and noises. Based upon the output regulation theory, a new distributed event-triggered control scheme is proposed to reduce communication burden and attenuate effects of stochastic noises. Two types of event-triggered control laws based on dynamic state feedback and dynamic output feedback are designed, respectively. Moreover, to compensate parameter uncertainties, a p-copy internal model is synthesized into the designed controllers. It is shown that all tracking errors are exponentially ultimately bounded in the mean square sense regardless of uncertainties and noises. Several examples are finally given to demonstrate the validity of main results.

Morphological Engineering of Filamentous Fungi: Research Progress and Perspectives

Zhengwu Lu,Zhiqun Chen,Yunguo Liu,Xuexue Hua,Cuijuan Gao,Jingjing Liu The Korean Society for Microbiology and Biotechnol 2024 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.34 No.6

Filamentous fungi are important cell factories for the production of high-value enzymes and chemicals for the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. Under submerged fermentation, filamentous fungi exhibit diverse fungal morphologies that are influenced by environmental factors, which in turn affect the rheological properties and mass transfer of the fermentation system, and ultimately the synthesis of products. In this review, we first summarize the mechanisms of mycelial morphogenesis and then provide an overview of current developments in methods and strategies for morphological regulation, including physicochemical and metabolic engineering approaches. We also anticipate that rapid developments in synthetic biology and genetic manipulation tools will accelerate morphological engineering in the future.
