A novel polydiacetylene-linked ligand derived from the reaction between chelidamic acid and bis(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)amine (PDA-CB) showed excellent selectivity and sensitivity for Cd2+ ions compared with other metal ions, including Zn2+. An obvious color change between PDA-CB and PDA-CB?+?Cd2+ is clearly visible to the naked eye. The Cd2+-responsive color change of PDA-CB is attributed to the coordination between Cd2+ and CB ligand units and has been characterized by 1H NMR titration.
식민지시기 한국과 베트남의 대중종합잡지의 특성 연구 -『삼천리』와 『남풍』의 비교를 중심으로-

본 연구는 근대 초기 아시아에서 식민지로 전락했던 한국과 베트남의 강점기 대중종합잡지를 비교함으로써 각 식민지의 특징과 언론의 생존과 대응 양상을 살펴 보았다. 근대로 넘어서며 제국 일본과 프랑스의 지배를 받았던 한국과 베트남은 식민지배기 문화 보급과 언어 확산이라는 목표로 대중종합잡지를 창간하는데, 시기적인 유사성은 물론 잡지의 성격에서도 공통점이 있는『삼천리』와 『남풍』이 대표적인 매체였다. 『삼천리』는 1929년에 창간되어 1942년 초까지 발행된 식민지 조선 내 최장 기간 발행 대중종합지였고, 베트남의 『남풍』은 1917년에 창간되어 1934년까지 발행된 베트남 내 최장 기간 발행 종합지였다. 본고는 이 두 매체의 간행 목적부터 변화하는 지향점, 수록된 글들의 성격을 중심으로 비교 연구를 진행하였고, 그 결과 최초 발행 목적은 민족 계몽의 성격을 지향했으나 시기적인 상황에 따라 서로 다른 변화 방향을 선택했음을 확인할 수 있었다. 『삼천리』는 사상적인 측면에서 중간자적인 공론지의 성격에서 선정적인 대중지향성, 친일로 소급하여버렸고, 『남풍』은 식민 지배국의 충실한 정책 대변자에서 민족주의적 성격을 점차 강화하면서 민족 계몽의 지점을 놓치지 않으려고 노력하였다. 이 과정 속에서 자국어에 대한 확산과 자국어로 문학을 창작하는 것에 『남풍』은 선명한 성과를 남길 수 있었고, 『삼천리』는 사상적인 공론의 장으로서의 기능, 민족주의적 지향 등에서 성과를 남길 수 있었다. This study attempts to examine the response to the existence of speech and the characteristics of the colonies by comparing the general public magazines of Korea and Vietnam, both of which were colonized in the early modern era. Korea and Vietnam, having approached the modern period and experienced being dominated by the Japanese and French imperialists, embarked on the introduction of magazines to the mass with the aim of spreading the colonial culture and language. These magazines, among which Samcheonly and Nam Phong were the representative media, shared a number of similarities not only in time but also in characteristics. Samcheonly was the longest-running journal under the colonial Joseon period, published from 1929 until early 1942. Likewise, Nam Phong experienced the longest term of publishing in Vietnam starting from 1917 until 1934. In addition, this paper conducts comparative research focusing on the direction of change and the nature ofarticles for publication purposes of these two media. The results confirm that the original purpose of publishing was aimed at national enlightenment, but the orientations were to be alternated in accordance with the current situation. Samcheonly was transformed from an informational magazine to a public-oriented publication with pro-Japanese ideology endorsement, while Nam Phong transitioned from a position in favor of the loyalty policy established in the colony to one that gradually consolidated nationalism and advocated national enlightenment. In this process, Nam Phong had achieved the popularization of the native language and the promotion of literary compositions in the mother tongue, whereas Samcheonly had been able to earn definite achievement in its function as a forum for public debates in regards to nationalist ideology and direction.

The world has witnessed the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic. Mainstream and social media are playing an important role in Covid-19 pandemic prevention. This research explores awareness, communication channels and effectiveness of communication in the Covid-19 pandemic in rural areas of Thua Thien Hue province, Central Vietnam. Primary information was collected from 181 respondents, who are farmers, non-farmers and students. Secondary information was collected from reports and statistical data. Television, word of mouth and local loudspeakers are the main channels of mainstream media while social media mentions the role of Facebook and Zalo to transfer Covid-19 pandemic information. Mainstream media is still the main channel of farmers and old people while non-farmers and young people tend to access information through social media. Communication has significantly contributed to improving awareness and action of rural people in the Covid-19 epidemic prevention.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Hydrogenated TiO<SUB>2</SUB> has recently attracted considerable attention as potential electrode materials for supercapacitors due to its abundance, low cost, high conductivity, remarkable rate capability, and outstanding long-term cycling stability. Herein, we demonstrate the synthesis of hydrogenated TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanoparticles anchored on reduced graphene oxide nanosheets (HTG) in the form of sandwich-like nanosheet composites. Further, we explored their implementation as electrode materials for high voltage, symmetric supercapacitors, operating in the voltage window of 0–1.8 V. The HTGs were prepared by a sol-gel method, followed by hydrogenation in the temperature range 300–500 °C. Of the prepared composites, HTG prepared at 400 °C exhibited the largest specific capacitance of 51 F g<SUP>−1</SUP> at the current density of 1.0 A g<SUP>−1</SUP> and excellent rate capability with 82.5% capacitance retention as the current density increased 40-fold, from 0.5 to 20.0 A g<SUP>−1</SUP>. HTG's excellent rate capability was attributed to its sandwich-like nanostructure, in which ultrasmall hydrogenated TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanoparticles densely anchored onto both surfaces of the two-dimensional reduced graphene oxide sheets. Moreover, HTG-based supercapacitors also exhibited long-term cycling stability with the retention over 80% of its initial capacitance after 10,000 cycles.
