<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>RUNX3, a tumor suppressor, is suppressed in various cancers by abnormal epigenetic changes. Histone deacetylases (HDACs) can deacetylate the lysine residues of RUNX3, followed by degradation via a ubiquitin-mediated pathway. Inhibition of HDAC leads to functional restoration of the RUNX3 protein by epigenetic expression and RUNX3 protein stabilization. We previously reported a series of HDAC inhibitors that restored RUNX3 function. In the present study, we introduced an alkenyl linker group to pyridine-based HDAC inhibitors to improve their potencies and chemical properties. This alkenyl linker made the compounds more rigid, facilitating a better fit than alkyl moieties to the active site of HDAC proteins. Most compounds in this series exhibited potent RUNX activities, HDAC inhibitory activities, and inhibitory activities towards the growth of human cancer cell lines. Notably, one of these derivatives, (<I>E</I>)-3-(1-cinnamyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridin-3-yl)-<I>N</I>-hydroxyacrylamide (<B>7k</B>), showed excellent properties in a microsomal stability study, in a xenograft study, and in an <I>in vivo</I> pharmacokinetic evaluation. IT기술의 발전에 따라 무선 네트워크 통신을 사용하여 실시간으로 지하공사 현장을 관리하는 방안이 고려되고 있다. 지하공간은 밀폐된 통신환경과 공간적인 특성으로 인해 지상에 비해 상대적으로 사용에 제한이 있다. BMN(Bluetooth Mesh Networking) 기술은 최근에 소개된 무선통신 기술로 중계기 역할을 하는 블루투스 장비로 네트워크 망을 형성하고 개별 기기를 모니터링하는 기술이다. 본 기술기사에서는 BMN 기술의 지하공간 적용성을 분석하기 위해 고려해야 할 부분과 현재 국내외에서 개발되고 있는 무선통신 모니터링 시스템 사례 및 연구에 대해 조사하였다. 그리고 지하공간 적용을 목표로 개발이 진행되고 있는 국내 BMN 기술에 대해서도 소개하고 있다. As the development of IT technology, the way to manage the underground construction site in real time using wireless network communication is being considered. Underground space is limited area compared to the ground site due to the enclosed communication environment and spatial characteristics. BMN (Bluetooth Mesh Networking) technology is a recently introduced wireless communication technology that bluetooth device acts as a repeater to form a networking mesh and monitor individual devices. This article examines the areas to be considered for analyzing the applicability of BMN technology to underground spaces, and the cases studies of wireless communication monitoring systems currently being developed. And the BMN technology which is being developed for the underground application is also introduced.
Temperature Dependent Octahedral Tilting Behaviors of Monoclinic and Tetragonal SrRuO3 Thin Films

We used in-situ synchrotron X-ray scattering to investigate phase transformations of octahedral tilted monoclinic SrRuO3 (MSRO) and tetragonal SRO (TSRO) thin films on SrTiO3 (STO) substrates. The octahedral tilted MSRO thin films were highly crystalline and the monoclinic distortion angle was 0.45. The phase transition temperature from the MSRO to TSRO phase occurred at approximately 200 C as a second order transition. Conversely, no phase transformations of the TSRO thin film occurred within the range from RT to 250 C. The octahedral RuO6 rotation was strongly affected by the phase transformation in the SRO thin films.

In this study, a regenerative braking co-operative control algorithm was proposed for electric vehicle equipped with electric booster brake. Regenerative control algorithms for (1) front control and (2) front-rear control type electric booster system were suggested. To evaluate the performance of the control algorithm, electric vehicle performance simulator and a HILS were developed. It was found from the HILS results that the co-operative control algorithm of the front-rear control type is able to recuperate more braking energy than that of front control type.

<P>Hydroxamate-based HDAC inhibitors have promising anticancer activities but metabolic instability and poor pharmacokinetics leading to poor in vivo results. QSAR and PK studies of HDAC inhibitors showed that a γ-lactam core and a modified cap group, including halo, alkyl, and alkoxy groups with various carbon chain linkers, improved HDAC inhibition and metabolic stability.
