        Controlled crack propagation for atomic precision handling of wafer-scale two-dimensional materials

        <P><B>Cleaving with a metal handle</B></P><P>Using adhesive tape to pull off monolayers of two-dimensional (2D) materials is now a well-established approach. However, the flakes tend to be micrometer scale, and the creation of multilayer stacks for device application can be challenging and time consuming. Shim <I>et al.</I> show that monolayers of a variety of 2D materials, including molybdenum disulfide and hexagonal boron nitride, can be cleaved from multilayers grown as 5-centimeter-diameter wafers. The multilayer is capped with a nickel layer, which can be used to pull off the entire grown stack. The bottom of the stack is again capped with nickel, and a second round of cleaving leaves the monolayer on the bottom nickel layer. The monolayers could be transferred to other surfaces, which allowed the authors to make field-effect transistors with high charge-carrier mobilities.</P><P><I>Science</I>, this issue p. 665</P><P>Although flakes of two-dimensional (2D) heterostructures at the micrometer scale can be formed with adhesive-tape exfoliation methods, isolation of 2D flakes into monolayers is extremely time consuming because it is a trial-and-error process. Controlling the number of 2D layers through direct growth also presents difficulty because of the high nucleation barrier on 2D materials. We demonstrate a layer-resolved 2D material splitting technique that permits high-throughput production of multiple monolayers of wafer-scale (5-centimeter diameter) 2D materials by splitting single stacks of thick 2D materials grown on a single wafer. Wafer-scale uniformity of hexagonal boron nitride, tungsten disulfide, tungsten diselenide, molybdenum disulfide, and molybdenum diselenide monolayers was verified by photoluminescence response and by substantial retention of electronic conductivity. We fabricated wafer-scale van der Waals heterostructures, including field-effect transistors, with single-atom thickness resolution.</P>

        ‘후지’ 사과나무 세장방추형에서 하단측지수가 수체생육에 미치는 영향

        ‘후지’/M.9에 대한 세장방추형에 적합한 하단측지수 구성을 위하여 하단측지수를 달리하여 수체생육, 광환경, 수량 및 과실품질을 조사하였다. 하단측지수준별 생육은 하단측지수를 5개로 유지했을 때 수폭은 넓었고, 신초장 및 정단신초장은 증가하였다. 수관위치별 수광률은 하단측지수가 5개인 처리구에서 수관상부(지상 150 ㎝)와 수관중부(지상 100 ㎝)에서는 높은 경향을 보였다. 총 단과지 화이수는 측지수에 따라 차이가 없었으나, 수관위치별로 보면 수관하부(지상 120㎝이하)에서 하단측지수가 5개 처리에서 가장 많았으며, 화아의 횡경도 커지는 경향이었다. 과실수량은 하단측지수가 5개에서 가장 많았고, 과중은 하단측지수가 5개와 8개에서 증가하는 경향이었다. 과실특성은 과형지수, 경도, 산함량, Hunter L, b값은 수관위치와 측지수준에 따라 차이가 없었으나, 가용성고형물 함량은 하단측지수가 5개일 때 높았다. 과실의 착색도를 나타내는 Hunter a값은 수광률이 가장 높은 하단측지수를 5개로 유지한 처리구에서 가장 높게 나타났다. This study was carried out to investigate the effects of number of the lower scaffold limbs on tree growth, light penetration, fruit yield, and fruit quality in slender spindle in 6-year-old ‘Fuji’/M.9 apple trees. With regard to the growth by the numbers of the lower scaffold limbs, the width of the tree was wide and the growth of new shoots was increased when the number of the lower scaffold limbs was five. Compare with other treatments, five lower scaffold limbs showed high light-interception on the upper (150 ㎝ above the ground) and middle (100 ㎝ above the ground) canopy. There was no difference in the total number of the flower buds of the spurs according to the number of scaffold limbs, but the number and cross section area of flower bud on the lower canopy (120 ㎝ above the ground) were increased where the number of the lower scaffold limbs was five. Fruit yield was highest in the treated with five lower scaffold limbs and fruit weight tended to increase where the number of the lower scaffold limbs was five or eight. With regard to fruit quality, showed no difference in fruit shape index, firmness, acid content, Hunter Land b value according to the location of canopy and the number of the lower scaffold limbs, but the content of soluble solids was highest treated with five lower scaffold limbs. Hunter a value indicating fruit color was found to be highest treated with five lower scaffold limbs whose light interception was highest.

        As the quality of life increases, the demand for enjoyment of leisure culture is increasing in modem society. This has led to the growth of cultural industries, creating many new cultural industries, and due to its recent engagement with digital technology, the development of digital cultural contents has rapidly expanded. As an integrated art field grafted with high technology, the game industry in particular is fusible with other various fields to create new leisure cultures. Taking these periodic conditions into consideration, this essay has presented a promotion scheme for game culture street based on the characteristics of game culture that make it easy for anyone to access. Game culture material signifies the grafting of cultural game characteristics to the physical platform of street, to provide, not only diverse applications of game culture, but also a market for vitalized game industries. This essay has researched the validity and components of game culture material promotion, along with promotion schemes for physical street. 현대 사회는 삶의 질이 높아짐에 따라 여가문화를 향유하고자 하는 요구가 증대되고 있다. 이는 문화산업의 발전으로 이어져 다양한 문화산업을 창출하고 있으며, 최근에는 디지털 기술의 발전과 맞물리면서 디지털 문화콘텐츠의 발전이 비약적으로 확대되고 있다. 특히 게임 산업은 첨단 기술과 접목된 종합예술분야로 다양한 부문과의 융합이 가능해 새로운 여가문화를 창출하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 시대적 상황을 고려하여 누구나 쉽게 접근한 수 있는 게임문화의 특징을 기반으로 하는 게임문화의 거리 조성방안을 제시하였다. 게임문화의 거리란 게임이 갖고 있는 문화적 특성을 물리적 플랫폼인 거리에 접목함으로서 게임문화의 다양한 활용은 물론 게임산업의 활성화를 위한 장을 마련하고자 하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 게임문화의 거리 조성에 관한 타당성과 구성요소 및 물리적 거리 조성방안에 초점을 맞춰 연구하였다.

        환경친화성 계면활성제를 이용한 어병균의 살균효과

        The antibacterial effect amino acid-copper(Ⅱ) surfactant on fish pathogens was studied. Fish pathogens of Edwardsiella tarda, Vibrio anguillarum, Aeromonas hydrophila and Streptococcus sp. were selected, cultured in nutrient agar and adjusted at 2 × 10 exp (5)∼10 exp (6) CFU/㎖ in phosphate buffer saline before the addtion of amino acid-copper(Ⅱ) surfactant with different concentrations. All tested pathogens died within 1 hour with 1 ppm of amino acid-copper(Ⅱ) surfactant. In comparison with formalin and ET, amino acid-copper(Ⅱ) surfactnat was more effective in antibacterial capacity.
