Energy Efficient with Network Coding Multipath Routing Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Networks

Network coding is a new paradigm in data transport and promises to change many aspects of wireless sensor network (WSN). Thanks to the recently developed network coding techniques, a high-throughput low-complexity hierarchical protocol can be facilitated due to the multiple-source relay-based data transmissions built on the network coding schemes, especially for the data communications between the source node and destination node. In this paper, we propose an Energy efficient that carefully couples Network coding and Multipath routing algorithm in Wireless Sensor Networks (ENM-WSN). Through an analytical study, we provide guidance on how to choose parameters in our scheme and demonstrate that the scheme is efficient in both multipath and energy consumption. We also present an algorithm for deciding the network coding scheme for a node to further reduce energy consumption by minimizing redundant packet transmissions. Simulation results show that, with the proposed energy efficient with network coding in WSN multipath routing protocol (ENM-WSN), energy consumption, packet delivery ratio, and network lifetime can be improved in most of cases. It is an available approach to multipath routing decision.

<P>Selectorless graphite-based resistive random-access memory (RRAM) has been demonstrated by utilizing the intrinsic nonlinear resistive switching (RS) characteristics, without an additional selector or transistor for low-power RRAM array application. The low effective dielectric constant value (<I>k</I>) layer of graphite or graphite oxide is utilized, which is beneficial in suppressing sneak-path currents in the crossbar RRAM array. The tail-bits with low nonlinearity can be manipulated by the positive voltage pulse, which in turn can alleviate variability and reliability issues. Our results provide additional insights for built-in nonlinearity in 1<I>R</I>-only selectorless RRAMs, which are applicable to the low-power memory array, ultrahigh density storage, and in-memory neuromorphic computational configurations.</P>

Bioassay-guided chemical investigation of the roots of Anthriscus sylvestris (L.) Hoffm. resulted in the isolation of nine compounds, whose structures were determined by spectroscopic methods. Compound 1 was isolated from this plant for the first time and compounds 3 and 9 were first found from this genus. Different polar fractions of A. sylvestris extract and compounds 1, 6-8 and 9 were evaluated for antitumor activities against HepG2 (human hepatocellular carcinoma), MG-63 (human osteosarcoma cells), B16 (melanoma cells) and HeLa (human cervical carcinoma cells) lines by the MTT method. The petroleum ether fraction of A. sylvestris extract exhibited excellent inhibitory activity with an $IC_{50}$ value of $18.3{\mu}g/ml$. Among the isolates from the petroleum ether fraction, compound 7 showed significant inhibition against the growth of the four tumor cells with $IC_{50}$ values ranging from $12.2-43.3{\mu}g/ml$.

Many Gram-positive bacteria, particularly lactic acid bacteria, are known to secrete proteins that have antimicrobial activity. These proteins, known as bacteriocins, have been shown to display inhibitory activity against many pathogens. Use lactic acid bacteria fermented herb has many advantages, such as increase the extraction rate of herb, produce new active compounds, reduce waste etc. In this study, 270 strains of lactic acid bacteria were screened for bacteriocin producing ability, and Lactobacillus gasseri LYC400 was found to have highest bacteriocin activity. Lactobacillus gasseri LYC400 was used to ferment MRS broth with various concentration, 0, 2, 4, 6%, respectively, wild bitter melon (Momordica charantia Linn. var. abbreviata Ser.) powder. The fermentation broths were centrifuged and the supernatants were collected follow by protein extraction to analyze bacteriocin activity. The results showed wild bitter melon powder was able to support good growth of the lactic acid bacterium. The bacterial number, lactic acid concentration and the E. coli inhibition ability of protein extractions were positive correlated with bitter melon powder concentration. However, the Staphylococcus aureus inhibition ability of protein extractions were increased with 2, 4% bitter melon powder but decreased at 6% bitter melon powder. Fermentation wild bitter melon via Lactobacillus gasseri LYC400 increases its antibacterial activity with putative anti-diabetic activities may have great potential for health food.

<P>Popular music Gangnam Style can arouse pleasure experience and strong emotional response. The left putamen is positively correlated with the mood arousal level score under the Gangnam Style condition. Our results revealed characteristic patterns of brain activity associated with Gangnam Style, and may also provide more general insights into the music-induced emotional processing.</P>

This paper reports on a headspace gas chromatographic method (HS-GC) for the determination of residual formaldehyde in formaldehyde related polymer latexes. The method is based on the reaction between formaldehyde and borohydride in a sodium hydroxide solution (1 mol/L), in which formaldehyde is quantitatively converted to methanol within 30 min at 90 8C and then determined by HS-GC. The results showed that the repeatability of the method had a relative standard deviation of less than 5.0%; the limit of quantification (LOQ) was 17.3 mg, and the recovery ranged from 96.2–102%. The present method is simple, rapid, and accurate.

Macrophages play an indispensable role in the host immune defense. Macrophages can undergo polarization into classically (M1) and alternatively (M2) activated macrophages. M1 macrophages activate immune and inflammatory response, while M2 macrophages are involved in tissue remodeling. Mahonia oiwakensis (Mo) is a herbal medicine in Asia used for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties; however, the mechanism is unclear. This study analyzed the effect of Mo extracts and its effects on the polarization of both macrophage RAW264.7 cells and mouse splenic macrophages. Water (Mo-W) and EtOH extracts (Mo-E) did not change the viability of RAW264.7 cells, whereas Mo-E inhibited nitric oxide (NO) production. The major compounds, berberine and palmatine, decreased the viability and NO levels of cells. The secretion of inflammatory cytokines CXCL16, IL-6, L-selectin, MCP1, RANTES, and sTNF-R1 was downregulated, whereas the production of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was upregulated by Mo-E, berberine, and palmatine treatments. Mo-E, berberine, and palmatine stimulated the expression of macrophage CD68 and M2-type CD204 markers, decreased M1-mediated p-STAT1 and NF-κB, and increased M2-mediated p-STAT6 expression. Similar effects on M2 polarization were also observed in splenic macrophages from mice. In conclusion, Mo-E, berberine, and palmatine modulated macrophages through the suppression of M1-mediated inflammation and the recruitment of M2-mediated VEGF secretion and STAT6 expression.

It has great significance to find a path on generating multicolor with one n-UV chip coated with single phosphor. Herein, Eu doped Na2Al2B2O7 (NAB) phosphor is synthesized by solid state reaction in air atmosphere. Both 4f65d1 → 4f7 transitions of Eu2+ (445 nm) and f–f transitions as 5D0 → 7FJ (J = 0, 1, and 2) of Eu3+ (570–650 nm) have been observed. When increasing Eu doping concentration, both the luminescence intensity and lifetime of Eu3+ are increased and no obvious concentration quenching is observed, while the emission strength of Eu2+ does not change monotonically but with two remarkable peak values. The optimum doping concentration of Eu is 16%. Furthermore, Eu3+ is determined to be from Eu(BO3) matrix itself, and Eu2+ testified by ESR and XPS is created by self-reduction of Eu3+ to Eu2+ in NAB due to charge compensation. When x ≥ 0.16, the Eu3+ ion would rather bond with BO3 triangles in Eu(BO3) than stay as Eu2+ in AlO4 tetrahedral in NAB. Furthermore, the as prepared sample shows an excellent thermal stability and the PL quantum efficiencies of NAB: 0.16Eu sample excited by 341 nm and 393 nm are 11.99% and 9.39%, respectively. Additionally, the calculated CIE chromaticity coordinates signify that a couple of colors can be generated by adjusting the excitation wavelength owing to the strength changes between blue and red emissions. Therefore, this novel bicolor phosphor can serve as a potential candidate for w-LEDs applications.
