Jak-TGFβ cross-talk links transient adipose tissue inflammation to beige adipogenesis

<P>The transient activation of inflammatory networks is required for adipose tissue remodeling including the 'browning' of white fat in response to stimuli such as. 3-adrenergic receptor activation. In this process, white adipose tissue acquires thermogenic characteristics through the recruitment of so-called beige adipocytes. We investigated the downstream signaling pathways impinging on adipocyte progenitors that promote de novo formation of adipocytes. We showed that the Jak family of kinases controlled TGF beta signaling in the adipose tissue microenvironment through Stat3 and thereby adipogenic commitment, a function that was required for beige adipocyte differentiation of murine and human progenitors. Jak/Stat3 inhibited TGF beta signaling to the transcription factors Srf and Smad3 by repressing local Tgfb3 and Tgfb1 expression before the core transcriptional adipogenic cascade was activated. This pathway cross-talk was triggered in stromal cells by ATGL-dependent adipocyte lipolysis and a transient wave of IL-6 family cytokines at the onset of adipose tissue remodeling induced by beta 3-adrenergic receptor stimulation. Our results provide insight into the activation of adipocyte progenitors and are relevant for the therapeutic targeting of adipose tissue inflammatory pathways.</P>
High Efficiency Plastic Packings for Water Treatment and Pollution Prevention

The increasing security of legal provisions for pollution prevention causes greater consideration to be given in the plannig of new separation plants. Thermal separation techniques are also adopted for processing residues, for purifying spent air or off-gases or recovery valuable substances from spent air and for depersing of process water and reducing its pollution load. In the light of these facts, which are strengthened by the developments not only of new processes but also of modern equipment, great impetus has been imparted to high performance plastic packings for an extended application in thermal separation processes. They have good prospects to get used in processes in which low specific pressure drops and low liquid residence times are required, provided that thermal and chemical resistance of the plastic is high enough. The performance properties of modern plastic packings allow to operate the columns under optimum conditions.

Researched packings of geometric models is Nor pac and Hiflow, Viz. This packings differ from customary packings by lattice checkered designed. Thereby, this packings gave under comparative high volume and drop preasure. Composition of mass transfer chose NH₃, SO₂, and absorbed NH₃ at H₂SO₄ and water and NaOH. Finally refered absorbation in two systems compained by rapidly chemical reaction of solvent. From an experimental and system possibility for minimum cost estableishe packings column with energy saving.

산업 폐수의 정화는 실제의 경우에 특히 물의 용해로부터 유기물의 합성, 회복에 이르기까지 물리적인 방법을 선택하지 않으면 안된다. 이 정류(精溜)의 적용 목적이 보통 높은 "에너지"의 소비를 수반하게 된다. 그러므로 "액체-액체 추출"에 의한 폐수로부터의 유기물의 합성 및 복구에 유의하며 그 후의 정류(精溜), 추출(抽出), 재생(再生), 직접 정류에 의한 물의 용해는 유기물질의 증발(기화) 엔탈피가 물보다 3∼5배 적게 되므로 보다 적은 에너지가 소비되며 산업폐수의 정화에 유익하게 된다.

The growing demand for the reduction of pollutant levels in off-gas streams to an absolute minimum in the chemical and allied industries and in power stations has led to the development of absorption columns with new high performance plastics packing. The great diversity in the geometry, structure and materials for packing in industrial columns entails differences in the fluid dynamics under operation conditions.

Besides of a detailed process, technical problem and thermodynamial review, this test is related in balance of gap and flow-dynamical process of column devices. Consumption of construction and energy for Separation depends on efficiency.

Industrial effluents can still respond to biological treatment if they contain high proportions of organic matter, provided that they can be mixed with other effluents that have a lower pollutant load so that the maximum permissible organic carbon in the entire water treatment plant is not exceeded. However integrated treatment consisting of a prior physical stage followed by a biological stage may be cheaper than biological treatment alone. The results depend on the nature and concentration of pollutants. In fact, purely physical treatment may even be the most economic of all for many effluents polluted by organic matter. In many cases, physical methods may be an absolute necessity. For instance, the pollutants may not be completely biodegradable and may not respond to chemical pretreatment. Alternatively, the effluent to be treated may contain valuable substances whose recovery is essential for the economics of the process concerned. Important physical methods for realizing this aim include thermal processes, e.g. evaporation, crystallization, distillation, rectification and extraction. They may be applied singly or combined. Obviously, these methods may also be resorted to for recovering substances formerly regarded as waste. If a significant improvement is to be achieved in the ecological situation and if industrial production capacity expands according to expectation, these substances may well be regarded in future as resources, and their recovery may become imperative.

In this study, packed columns have been used to treat the noxious gas and fetors drawn off from industrial fie lds, and especially the latticed packing materials have been used for a long time. However, the Dualflex valve tray is currently being adopted to petrochemistry or chemical facilities. This study was focused on the Dualflex valve tray on purpose to ascertain whether it is effective to treat noxious gas and fetors.

In this study The diagrams for various packing shown given an impression of the effectiveness of several fraction device for separation towers in alcohol distillation. Although not claiming completeness, they are yet indicative of the influence which the characteristic design and operating parameters are having on the performance efficiency of the internals. The relevant technical literature provides comprehensive information for fluid dynamic computations as well as for predetermining the separation efficiency of columns working under industrial operating conditions, this applies to tray columns and packed columns equally. The most recent computation models of thermal separation technology allow the quantitative valuation also of other efficiency when used in industrial alcohol distillation plants, and the corresponding dimensioning of columns with an accuracy that is sufficient for the requirements of practice.
