Development of Click Chemistry in Polymerization and Applications of Click Polymer

Click chemistry had enjoyed a wealthy decade after it was introduced by K.B.Sharpless and his co-worker on 2001. Since there is no optimized method for synthesis of click polymer, therefore, this paper introduced three click reaction methods such as catalyst, non-catalyst and azide-end capping for fluorene-based functional click polymers. The obtained polymers have reasonable molecular weight with narrow PDI. The polymers are thermally stable and almost emitted blue light emission. The synthesized fluorene-based functional click polymers were characterized to compare the effect of click reaction methods on polymer electro-optical properties as well as device performance on quasi-solid-state dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) applications. The DSSCs with configuration of $SnO_2:F/TiO_2/N719$ dye/quasi-solid-state electrolyte/Pt devices were fabricated using these click polymers as a solid-state electrolyte components. Among the devices, the catalyzed click polymer composed device exhibited a high power conversion efficiency of 4.62% under AM 1.5G illumination ($100mW/cm^2$).These click polymers are promising materials in device application and $Cu^I$-catalyst 1, 3-dipolar cycloaddition click reaction is an efficient synthetic methodology.

The following series of blue EL polymers was synthesized using the Suzuki polymerization method: poly(3',6'-bis(3,7-dimethyloctyloxy)-9,9'-spirobifluorene-2,7-diyl) poly[$(OC_{10})_2$-spirobifluorene], poly{3',6'-bis(3,7-dimethyloctyloxy)-9,9'-2,7-diyl-co-4-(3,7-dimethyloctyloxy) phenyl-diphenylamine-4',4'-diyl} poly[$(OC_{10})_2$-spirobifluorene-TPA] (5:1, 9:1) and poly{3',6'-bis(3,7-dimethyloctyloxy)-9,9'-spirobifluorene-2,7-diyl-co-4-(6-((3-methyloxetan-3-yl)methoxy)hexyloxyphenyl-bisphenylamine-4',4'-diyl) poly[$(OC_{10})_2$-spirobifluorene-TPA-oxetane]. The weight average molecular weight (Mw) and polydispersity of the resulting polymers ranged from $1.6{\times}10^4-1.5{\times}10^5$ and 1.77-2.31, respectively. The resulting polymers were completely soluble in common organic solvents and were easily spin-coated onto an indium tin oxide (ITO) substrate. The polymers exhibited strong blue emission peaking at 450 nm. The maximum brightness and luminance efficiency were $9,960\;cd/m^2$ and 1.2 cd/A, respectively.

A new series of phenothiazine-based polymeric electrolytes were developed to obtain a high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC_s). Phenothiazine-based click polymers were synthesized using Cu(I)-catalyzed click reaction methods. The resulting polymers were soluble in common organic solvents and had a reasonable molecular weight. The thermal properties, emission spectra, and energy band gap of synthesized click polymers were also investigated. The polymer electrolytes were composed of iodide and triiodide redox species embedded in phenothiazine-based click polymers or polyacrylonitrile (PAN) as a polymer matrix. DSSCs were fabricated with a configuration of SnO_2:F/TiO_2/N719 dye/polymer electrolyte/Pt devices using these click polymers or PAN as an electrolyte components and compared photovoltaic performance. The maximum PCE of the phenothiazine-based click polymers as polymer electrolytes for DSSCs was obtained 5.30% (at 1 sun). These enhanced click polymers are expected to find applications as an electrolyte component in DSSCs in the future.

In Bangladesh, developing students’ entrepreneurial intentions have received a lot of attention because of the country’s current employment predicament and shifting labor market. Entrepreneurs play a critical part in a country’s economic development. This study aims to examine the impact of creativity and innovation on students’ intentions toward online entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. The participants in this study were Bangladeshi university students. Based on pre-tested constructs, a survey questionnaire was created. Convenience sampling, which is a common type of non-probability sampling, was used to choose participants for the sample. A total of 150 students from the public university took part in the survey, with 120 replies being accepted as complete, resulting in an 80 percent response rate. Hence, the sample size is 120. Internal consistency was determined using Cronbach’s alpha, while correlation and hypothesis tests were analyzed using SPSS version 26.0. The results reveal that creativity and innovation have a statistically significant and positive impact on students’ intentions to engage in online entrepreneurship. These two independent factors explained 75% of the variance in intention to engage in online entrepreneurship, resulting in empirical findings and solid information in the present body of knowledge. The study concludes with a conclusion and research implications for the future.
