Much like traditional sports, esports are susceptible to unsportsmanlike behavior. The first-person shooter (FPS) genre of esports offers proxy views of the world which may promote vicarious gaming with unsportsmanlike conduct impacting spectator experiences. Determining the acceptability of different kinds of player conduct within esports, as well as discerning player actions which violate local norms, may serve to enhance our understanding of sportsmanship in esports. Using a multi method research design in the context of Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) esports, this study aimed to develop a taxonomic classification of (un)sportsmanlike player conduct in the FPS genre, recognizing its various forms. Through analysis of data from structured observations of gameplay, spectator reactions, and semi-structured interviews with players, a generic nodal hierarchical classification with broad application to the FPS genre was refined into a multi-level taxonomy of all forms of sportsmanship in CS:GO. The results highlighted a degree of complexity in the interpretation of sportsmanship in local esport gaming contexts that set it far enough apart from traditional sports to potentially paint a specific picture of ‘esportsmanship.’ The classification is envisaged to enhance our understanding of the sportsmanship in the FPS genre of esports, and guide the thinking of researchers, designers, and testers.
A Latent Factor (PLS-SEM) Approach: Assessing the Determinants of Effective Knowledge Transfer
ANJUM, Reham,KHAN, Hadi Hassan,BANO, Safia,NAZIR, Sidra,GULRAIZ, Hira,AHMED, Wahab Korea Distribution Science Association 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.2
The Knowledge Transfer (KT) for higher education institutions (HEIs) is boundless. Still and all, the members of the staff affiliated with these institutions do recognize an array of hitches in relation to KT practices. The study in question underscores social interactions, training, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as the primary barriers and treats them as the independent variables of the study. The study posits that inadequate management of the above-mentioned barriers would impact effective KT unfavorably. Besides, putting forth some striking solutions needed to fix the obstructions that hamper the adequate management of the KT exercises is another aim of the study. For data collection purposes, the study picks out higher education institutions (public) of the Quetta district. The reckoned sample size is 317 subjects. The research type that has been used is cross-sectional research and, in this context, the cross-sectional explanatory sequential design has been used. Concerning the findings of the paper, the results of PLS-SEM show positive and significant relationships of social interaction and training with knowledge transfer, while ICT shows an insignificant positive relationship with the knowledge transfer. The most influencing factor for the knowledge transfer is social interaction as suggested by social interaction theory.

A study was designed to determine the effects on broiler performance of two levels of antioxidant (ethoxyquin) in poultry rations containing two levels of oxidized and non-oxidized soybean oil. One hundred and eighty, day old broiler chicks were randomly divided into six experimental groups comprising thirty chicks on each treatment. Six experimental rations having 2% nonoxidized soybean oil, 2% and 3% oxidized soybean oil, all three supplemented with normal (125 g/t) or higher (175 g/t) level of ethoxyquin, were formulated for both starter (0-28 days) and finisher (29-42 days) phases. These rations were randomly fed to six experimental groups having 30 birds on each ration and three replicates on each treatment. Weight gain and feed conversion ratio (FCR) of chicks fed 2% non-oxidized and 2% oxidized soybean oil were statistically non-significant. Weight gain in groups fed 3% oxidized oil was significantly lower than non-oxidized group while FCR was significantly lower than both groups. Weight gain in the higher level ethoxyquin group was significantly better than lower level, while feed intake and FCR were statistically non-significant in both levels of ethoxyquin. Acid and Thiobarbituric Acid (TBA) values in the three groups differed significantly with the lower in non-oxidized group and highest in the 3% oxidized group. Higher level of ethoxyquin significantly lower acid and TBA values compared to lower level of ethoxyquin. Thus it can be concluded that oxidation of oil reduces its feeding value and that the addition of ethoxyquin is beneficial.
Marine Sponges as a Drug Treasure
Anjum, Komal,Abbas, Syed Qamar,Shah, Sayed Asmat Ali,Akhter, Najeeb,Batool, Sundas,Hassan, Syed Shams ul The Korean Society of Applied Pharmacology 2016 Biomolecules & Therapeutics(구 응용약물학회지) Vol.24 No.4
Marine sponges have been considered as a drug treasure house with respect to great potential regarding their secondary metabolites. Most of the studies have been conducted on sponge's derived compounds to examine its pharmacological properties. Such compounds proved to have antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antimalarial, antitumor, immunosuppressive, and cardiovascular activity. Although, the mode of action of many compounds by which they interfere with human pathogenesis have not been clear till now, in this review not only the capability of the medicinal substances have been examined in vitro and in vivo against serious pathogenic microbes but, the mode of actions of medicinal compounds were explained with diagrammatic illustrations. This knowledge is one of the basic components to be known especially for transforming medicinal molecules to medicines. Sponges produce a different kind of chemical substances with numerous carbon skeletons, which have been found to be the main component interfering with human pathogenesis at different sites. The fact that different diseases have the capability to fight at different sites inside the body can increase the chances to produce targeted medicines.

When used as a bifunctional electrocatalyst for the hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions from water splitting in an alkaline solution, the electrode exhibits excellent activity and stability outperforming noble mental-based Pt/C, IrO2, and reported non-noble metal-based electrocatalysts. Density functional theory calculations indicate that the excellent performance is attributable to the improved charge-transfer characteristics of the S:CoP nanoparticles owing to their modified electronic structure. It also increases the number of exposed active sites especially on the conductive substrates. A bifunctional S:CoP catalyst-based alkaline electrolyzer for overall water splitting exhibits a stable current density of 100 mA/cm2 at an overvoltage of 0.55 V during a long-term operation; this performance is superior to that obtained from all-noble metal electrolyzer with a Pt/C cathode and an IrO2 anode.

Highlights

S:CoP is synthesized by eco-friendly thiourea-phosphate-assisted solvothermal route.

S:CoP/NF becomes an active and stable bifunctional water splitting electrocatalyst.

S-doping improves charge transfer and increases density of active sites.

An alkaline electrolyzer with bifunctional S:CoP outperforms all-noble-metal electrolyzer.

Graphical abstract

The electronic properties of CoP are modulated by doping S into its structure through an environment-friendly thiourea-phosphate route, and produced S:CoP electrocatalysts efficiently catalyze both HER and OER in alkaline media.

[DISPLAY OMISSION]

SOFT INTERSECTION AND SOFT UNION k-IDEALS OF HEMIRINGS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
Anjum, Rukhshanda,Lodhi, Aqib Raza Khan,Munir, Mohammad,Kausar, Nasreen The Kangwon-Kyungki Mathematical Society 2022 한국수학논문집 Vol.30 No.2
The main aim of this paper is to discuss two different types of soft hemirings, soft intersection and soft union. We discuss applications and results related to soft intersection hemirings or soft intersection k-ideals and soft union hemirings or soft union k-ideals. The deep concept of k-closure, intersection and union of soft sets, ∧-product and ∨-product among soft sets, upper 𝛽-inclusion and lower 𝛽-inclusion of soft sets is discussed here. Many applications related to soft intersection-union sum and soft intersection-union product of sets are investigated in this paper. We characterize k-hemiregular hemirings by the soft intersection k-ideals and soft union k-ideals.

Five phases of molybdenum carbide encapsulated by a boron-carbon-nitrogen (BCN) network are synthesized by decomposition of a Mo-imidazole-borate organometallic complex with slight variations in the imidazole-borate ligand structure. The method relies on the restrained in situ carburization reaction between Mo atoms and imidazole-borate ligands on an atomic scale, thus generating molybdenum carbide nanoparticles encapsulated conformally by the BCN shell. All phases of molybdenum carbide demonstrate excellent electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity and stability in both acidic and basic electrolytes outperforming most of molybdenum carbides reported in the literature. Hexagonal beta-Mo2C@BCN consistently exhibits the most outstanding performance under all conditions. The less active cubic a and hexagonal eta phases also display enhanced HER activity and stability due to the promotional effect of the BCN shell. The dual natured (electrophilic and nucleophilic) BCN layers can protect molybdenum carbide nanoparticles from corrosion and agglomeration, and improve their electrocatalytic activity by serving as an electron transfer medium and providing ample adsorption sites for water due to enhanced wetting properties.
