In this work, we study Bernstein-Walsh-type estimations for the derivative of an arbitrary algebraic polynomial in regions with piecewise smooth boundary without cusps of the complex plane. Also, estimates are given on the whole complex plane.

The thermal propeties of a Sb2Te3 sample irradiated with high-energy swift heavy ions has been studied, and the resuits are reported in the presented work. Antimony telluride samples were irradiated with 167-MeV 131Xe ions at intensities of 5.0 × 1012 ion/cm2, 5.0 × 1013 ion/cm2 and 3.83 × 1014 ion/cm2. Stoppind end range of ions in matter (SRIM) analyses were performed on the Sb-Te binary system having a density of 6.50 g/cm3, and the penertration depth of the Xe ions were determined. The thermodynamical kinetics of the Sb2Te3 compound were found to be different in a certain temperature range before and after irradiation with swift heavy ions. The phase transition and the widespread effect in the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) curve of non-irradiated sample change toward high temperatures in the 140 ≤ T ≤ 600 °C temperature range. The widespread effect and the phase transition in the DSC curves for irradiated samples decreased as a funation of temperature. Hourever, the thermodynamic kinetics were due to a complex mechansim in the 117 ≤ T ≤ 660 °C temperature range under the influenced of swift heavy ions. The value of Wigner enthalpy linearly decreases for non-irradiated and irradiated samples. Recombination kinetics and migration due to the energy levels of defects influencd the kinetics of the thermodynamic functions depending on the temperature. Moreover, the results obtained for the activation energy shown that the dynamics of the mechanism changed from a volumetric to a superficial character.

Background and Purpose: Data on safety and efficacy of intra-arterial (IA) fibrinolytics as adjunct to mechanical thrombectomy (MT) are sparse. Methods: INtra-arterial FIbriNolytics In ThrombectomY (INFINITY) is a retrospective multi-center observational registry of consecutive patients with anterior circulation large-vessel occlusion ischemic stroke treated with MT and adjunctive administration of IA fibrinolytics (alteplase [tissue plasminogen activator, tPA] or urokinase [UK]) at 10 European centers. Primary outcome was the occurrence of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) according to the European Cooperative Acute Stroke Study II definition. Secondary outcomes were mortality and modified Rankin Scale(mRS) scores at 3 months. Results: Of 5,612 patients screened, 311 (median age, 74 years; 44.1% female) received additional IA after or during MT (194 MT+IA tPA, 117 MT+IA UK). IA fibrinolytics were mostly administered for rescue of thrombolysis in cerebral infarction (TICI) 0-2b after MT (80.4%, 250/311). sICH occurred in 27 of 308 patients (8.8%), with an increased risk in patients with initial TICI0/1 (adjusted odds ratio[aOR], 2.3; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.1 to 5.0 per TICI grade decrease) or in those with intracranial internal carotid artery occlusions (aOR, 3.7; 95% CI, 1.2 to 12.5). In patients with attempted rescue of TICI0-2b and available angiographic follow-up, 116 of 228 patients (50.9%) showed any angiographic reperfusion improvement after IA fibrinolytics, which was associated with mRS ≤2 (aOR, 3.1; 95% CI, 1.4 to 6.9). Conclusions: Administration of IA fibrinolytics as adjunct to MT is performed rarely, but can improve reperfusion, which is associated with better outcomes. Despite a selection bias, an increased risk of sICH seems possible, which underlines the importance of careful patient selection.

Six cocogem surfactants were synthesized from N,N,Nʹ,Nʹ-tetra-(propane-2-olyl)-1,6-hexanediamine andhigher monocarboxylic acids: capric, lauric, myristic, palmitic, stearic and oleic. N,N,Nʹ,Nʹ-tetra-(propane-2-olyl)-1,6-hexanediamine was synthesized from hexamethylenediamine and propylene oxide at roomtemperature, without utilizing any catalyst or solvent. Surface tension, conductivity, foaming ability,foam stability, emulsion stability, viscosity and density measurements were performed on aqueoussolutions of all cocogem surfactants. Their surface activity and colloidal-chemical parameters such ascritical micelle concentration (CMC), surface pressure at CMC (pCMC), surface tension at CMC (gCMC),surface excess (Gmax), concentration required for 20 mN/m reduction of surface tension (C20), Gibbsenergies of adsorption and micellization (DGad and DGmic) were recorded and variation of theseparameters based on hydrophobic chain length and structure was investigated experimentally andcomputationally. Synthesized surfactants with myristic, palmitic, and stearic tail continued to decreasesurface tension even above CMC. The possible reason of this unusual behavior was determined based oncomputational studies. Surface activity parameters of cocogem surfactant with oleic tail disobeyed thegeneral tendency established by other cocogems with saturated tail group. Palmitic and stearic acid basedcocogem surfactants had good foam stability and the reason of this high foam stability was rationalizedwith high viscosity of their solutions.

This article defines the process of formation of anti-corruption consciousness as one of the areas of interaction between public authorities and civil society institutions. It is concluded that the implementation of the state anti-corruption policy in Ukraine may be more promising if the institutions of civil society are actively involved. The degree of citizen engagement can be increased by increasing social trust, as well as by increasing the level of political and legal education and culture. Particular attention should be paid to the organization of public control and monitoring of the activities of public authorities, impartial coverage of information on the fight against corruption in the media, as well as the joint conduct of an information and educational campaign and the promotion of the formation of anti-corruption consciousness among a large number of citizens.
