        이종항,안경재,이택규,민경인,권오성,백선우,박민철,조두현,황종락,강종구,이시현,서동윤,김정하,강연식 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2019 제어·로봇·시스템학회 논문지 Vol.25 No.5

This paper introduces the autonomous vehicle VIROS, which was developed by Kookmin University to participate in the 2018International Autonomous Vehicle Competition organized by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy(MTIE). The controlsoftware was developed based on Robot Operating System (ROS) to take advantage of its modular component design and compatibilitywith multiple operating systems. Multiple software components were developed to execute passenger pick-up missions operating in a realurban road environment in the presence of other autonomous vehicles. The control architecture is based on a finite state machine handlingcomplicated decision-making problems that depend on many different events and traffic rules. The tracking performance of the developedcontrol algorithm is verified with experimental data obtained from typical urban traffic situations, such as intersections and tunnels.

      • 風水地理說의 監行의 原因과 그것이 우리 民族性에 미친 惡影響에 關한 一考察

李鍾恒 慶北大學校 1962 論文集 Vol.5 No.-

Introduction. The major purpose of this small thesis is to discover why the Pungsoo Theory was so deeply believed, and how it distorted the development of Korean nationality. Originally, the theory was a natural product of the physical environment of China, and subsequently it become modified by Chinese philosophical thought: "The Philosophy of the Positive and the Negative" (陰陽說), and the "Theory of the Five Elements" (五行說). In the Far East, as we all know, before modern times China was the main source of culture. The Pungsoo Theory was carried along with other aspects of Chinese culture as it invaded the countries bordering on China. Among all of these nations, however, Korea was the only one which accepted and adopted the Pungsoo Theory without reservation. There must be some reason why our ancestors did this. The object of this Thesis is to explore this situation. Chap. Ⅰ. Migration of the Pungsoo Theory from China to Korea. Sect. 1. The origical religion of our nation. Here I wich to consider mainly the nature of Korean mountain worship. Our mythology provides evidence of some forms of mountain worship and thus appears to suggest a close relationship to the Pungsoo Theory. However, there is a clear-cut difference between the two: The former is based on the worship of some kind of spirits, while the latter is based on the power of the earth itself. Sect. 2. Essence of the Pungsoo Theory. Pungsoo Theory is based on the belief that human beings can get certain powers or capacities through the buried dead bodies of their parents or ancestors. These bodies absorb a vital force which is circulating under the earth and conduct it to descendants. Because, the bodies of sons are but the branches of their parents. Therefore, a person who wishes to be rich and prosperous must locate the place where this vital earth power is most strongly concertrated and there bury his parent's dead body. The Pungsoo Theory is hence, a technical method of judging the proper place for burial location. Sect. 3. Adoption and development of the Pungsoo Theory in Korea. No one can tell exactly when the Pungsoo Theory was transmitted to Korea. Some have said that it was after the unification of the three kingdoms into one by Silla, while others have maintained it was during the latter period of Silla. My contention is that it occurred just prior to Silla unification. This is based on the fact that the Silla Dynasty was at this time closely connected with the T'ang culture and imported many of its ideas, one of which could have been most easily the Pungsoo Theory. There are two startling evidences of the existence of this belief at this time. One is the location of the tomb of Tae-jong(太宗), the king who was largely responsible for unification. It is placed exactly in accordance with the Pungsoo Theory. The other is the tomb of General KIM, Yu-shin(金庾信), the famous general who aided King Tae-jong in unificaiton. This location also fits neatly into the Pungso Theory. These two remains at least suggest the existence of the Pungsoo Theory at that time. Chap. Ⅱ. The Pungsoo Theory as a Common Belief, and the resultant effects. Sect. 1. The reason why the Pungsoo Theory was so deeply believed by our people. One reason offered is that Koreans have a very strong feeling on "Kinship". However, no explanation is given as to why Koreans have such a strong feeling. I believe that this feeling came mainly from the geopolitical situation of the Korean peoples. Historically, the peninsula became a pathway of many nations. One state succeeded another in the face of repeated invasions. Thus, there was produced in this peninsula a high degree of insecurity. Since invasions were frequent, and dynasties were often too weak for adequate defense, the Korean people were forced to search elsewhere for security. In place of physical security, they developed a form of social security, that is, the ties fo kinship. Sect. 2. The evil effects of the Pungsoo Theory. Belief in this kind of superstition has tended to produse a fatalism that discounts the work of man. Many Korean people today sill believe that a person can be rich and prosperous largely by virtue of his well placed parent's grave rather than by his own painful works. Such a way of thought has hampered us in the improvement of our daily living, depriving us of the benefits of modern science and logic. This may account in part for the undeveloped character of our nation. Conclusion We have to clean up all of these superstitions and adopt a more rational and scientific view of life. Also, we have to make more effort to simplify our social customs. The most difficult problem is to break away from all of these superstitions which clutter up our daily life.

      • 鄕吏制度의 變遷과 腐敗에 關한 一考察 : A Study on the Change and Corruption of Hyang-Ree System

        李鍾恒 慶北大學校 1963 論文集 Vol.7 No.1

Ⅰ. Here I considered the cause of Corruption of the Hyang-Ri (The Local Officers in Lee Dynasty), which was said that the main reason of decline and fall of the Lee Dynasty. I concluded the cause of corruption of the Local Officers into three: 1. Under Lee's regime, the government did not paid the salary to the local officers for keeping their living at all. In Silla and Koryo period all local officers were paid the salary though was not so much but still enough to keep their living, while in Lee Dynasty government did not care for the local officers living through her all period. So we can easily imagine that this was a main cause to the local officers to run quickly be corrupted. 2. In Lee dynasty all high ranking officers, who were mainly chosen by very strict national examination, were quite unacquainted with the loca1 business because these high ranking officers were selected among the small size of high class, and also they were forced to study from their childhood only confucian classics and poems, which was the course of the national examination. Usually the county chief. who is appointed from central government, is amateur in dealing with the local business while local officers who are well trained to be low ranking officers from their childhood were very skilful to managing all their daily duteis. This let them took the power to handle the business and gave them the chance to be corrupted endlessly 3. Usually the term of high ranking officers were very short so they did not had the time to accustomed to their duties. This also offer the chance to the local officers to be powerful in dealing the county business and the local officers could do anything they wish. Ⅱ. I traced to the origin of this kind of local officers in the middle part of Silla Period, According to the Samkuk-Yusa(unauthorized three countries history)we can find an anecdote of one local officer whose name is An-Kil(安吉), and this is only prove that there were Hyang-Ri in Silla also, but except this example there are no records on the local officers. And at the end of Silla Period most of local provinces and counties were apart from the central governmental control and became a kind of automonous body. Then we can imagine that in that most of loc포1 officers were also absorbed by these automonous body. After Koryo founded there arose a new local officers which was a ill treated low class and it continued through the Lee Dynasty. So I concluded the direct ancestor of the Hyang-Ri in Lee Dynasty is in the early part of Koryo though its origin is in Silla. Conclusion : The corruption of the Hyang-Ri in Lee period was a main cause of the decline and fall of the Lee dynasty. Seeing this example in the modern time the corruption of low rank officers will be a cause of hampering the progress of the democratic state, because even in now the low ranking officers are huge in number and is doing very important duties to earring out the democratic state.
