舊韓末 社會運動을 통한 民衆敎化

In recent history of Korea, an effort for social renovation has been made purposely from many associations. In the activity of speech, they tried to make the popular enlightenment to extend the human right; they showed strong willpower for promotion to our national awakening against the great powers' invasion. Through literary activity while they made efforts to awaken complication, ancient national spirit and our nationlism, they also promoted national spirit against the foreign invasion. To accomplish the urgent problem of our nation-restoration of our national prestige, many kinds of social associations emerged and women's associations developed the extension of wommen's rights and saving the nation movement. To disclose these contents I concider that these data will be a part of pigenholing ones the popular enlightenment of the last stage of Cho Seon Dynasty.

Nodular fasciitis is defined by the World Health Organization as a benign proliferative fibroblastic lesion. It was first described in 1955 by Konwaler et al. and also known as “nodular pseudosarcomatous fasciitis” and “infiltrative fasciitis”, which reflect the lesion’s rapid growth, dense cellularity, alarming mitotoic activity and lack of circumscription. Here, we report a case of nodular fasciitis,which appeared as subcutaneous mass of right perizygoma area in 40-year-old Korean female. She had no history of trauma or cosmetic surgery related with the lesion. She disclosed that the mass grew rapidly for last 2 months. Computed tomography showed relatively well-defined spherical mass with 1.2 cm in diameter. Under local anesthesia the mass was resected by intraoral approach. The histological examination revealed a relatively poor-dermacated mass with high cellularity, which was composed with infiltrative spindle-shaped cells without accompanying inflammatory reactions. The tumor cells were partially positive for α-smooth muscle actin and β-catenin, but negative for cytokeratin AE1/3, S-100, desmin, and CD34. Therefore, the lesion was pathologically diagnosed as nodular fasciitis. Although nodular fasciitis is known to pseudosarcomatous benign reactive lesion, the clinician need to follow up the patient periodically. The reasons are as follows; Nodular fasciitis may accompany nuclear accumulation of β-catenin, which imply neoplastic process rather than reactive process of the lesion. Moreover, it has many histological similarities with inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor which have malignant transformation tendency. Further research for mesenchymal tumor could help our understanding for the disease entity of nodular fasciitis.

Malignant Transformation of Oral Leukoplakia into Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma in the Vicinity of Osseointegrated Dental Implants

Development of squamous cell carcinoma around dental implants is an uncommon clinical manifestation with only a few cases described in the literature. Recently, we observed primary squamous cell carcinoma that developed from leukoplakia around dental implants. We report this case to emphasize the importance of careful oral examination, for implant surgery has to be preceded by thorough evaluation of oral mucosal conditions.

The movement of extension for woman's right during the ending period of Chosen was multifariously spread out. The propagation of Christianty and Dong-Hak's ideology had the people be conscious of new idea and made Woman recognize the conscious change of her status. Woman's enlightenment was formed rapidly through the new education and in extension of Woman's right, they were aware of how powerful the people's will was, and nevertheless they made lots of organizations to get their advantages. Recognizing the emergency of country, Women took actively part in the movement of compensation of national debt as well as that of recovery of national prestige, and they drove the movement of extension for Woman's right variously.

The Japanese impeialism declared that they should establish the educational bureau which was aimed at the colonial education to control korea eternally since the Japanese annexation of Korea. And by the name of a subject of the Crown, or the domestic equalism, they tried to stike out the character and the tradition of Korea and to japanize Korean people. And in the contents of their education they pactised the differential education devided into the primary and industrial education, which is foced to rear the low working men to be necessary for the colonial control. Though the Japanese impeialism was puzzled by the resistance of the Samil Independence Movement of Korea, they claimed to stand for the cultural reign to found a stable colonial education.

As Cho-Son had difficulty in the preservation of national prestige owing to the growth or power of the western countries after the opening of a port, both government andmany pioneers promoted the enlightenment movement for our strenuous efforts. The enlightened ideology, which was founded on the ideological system derived from the korean historical conditions, was formed and developed by the influence of enlightened ideology and Japanese cultural enlightenment ; the enlightened party, which was formed after that, pushed forward the enlightenment policy actively. The enlightened parties developed the modernized system and many kinds of facilities, sent the students for studying abroad, established many schools, published magazines and so on ; further more they sent many Ryoung - Son missionaries and Shin - Sa sightseeing parties for the development of the modern commercial and industrial business and on the other hand they made efforts to develop establishment of companies and the industrial development. Thus the popular enlightenment was made diversely.

東學의 民衆敎化 運動

The researcher of this study aims to find out the important motivation to civilize the people in the process of growth in Dong Hag in the modern history of Korea. The expansion of its creed, Dong Hag idea was revealed as a vision which aimed to set up social realization of the principle of human equality and it was revealed as an enforcement of misgovernment to remove the remaining vestiges of feudalism. By the mutual agreement with the government, after setting up Jip Gang So, they carried out the administration by the idea of the people and enforced the spontaneous civil right and the democratic administration which were the first things in Korean history. On the other hand, they made great efforts to illuminate the people's wisdom tward the enlightening movement and made further efforts to enlighten the society, such as organization of JinBo-Hoe, respect for the human right, sex equality and enlightening of the women's education. When we consider that power of the religion, Dong Hag, at that time was enforced not only in the rural district, but in the urban region, it must have set up a great motivation for the people's enlightening.
