Output power of automotive PEM fuel cell stack is restricted at harsh condition (e.g. high outdoor temperature, high current density, etc.) due to lack of humidification and cooling capacity. In this study direct water injection method is suggested and effects on the humidification and cooling are verified numerically and experimentally. To facilitate water evaporation in the cathode channel of PEMFC, it is very important to atomize liquid water into fine droplets. On the basis of this principle, we selected two-fluid nozzle as an atomization device. This nozzle atomizes liquid water into very fine droplets with high uniformity by air flow momentum. The droplet size becomes smaller as the air-to-liquid ratio increases. It means the droplet diameter decreases with the higher pressure of nozzle air inlet and the smaller liquid flow rate. Water atomizing nozzle was installed as a part of air supply system right before the PEMFC stack. In experiment, compressed air of 1.5 bar was supplied to nozzle and liquid water flow rate was controlled by liquid mass flow controller precisely. 5-cell PEM fuel cell stack of the active area 250 cm<SUP>2</SUP> was used in this study and its performance change under water injection conditions were measured by electronic load.

Objectives: This study investigates whether the reverse interpretation of low Pa score in MMPI that indicate a paranoid tendency is appropriate. Methods: The 96 psychiatric patients perform MMPI and Rorschach test, and their clinical diagnosis and symptoms were evaluated. Study group is divided into high, middle and low Pa group on the basis of Pa score. Dependent variables were Rorschach Hypervigilance Index(HVI), content index related to the paranoid tendency, clinician`s diagnosis and symptoms, MMPI validation scale, and Harris-Lingoes subscale. If the reverse interpretation were valid, low Pa group would differ from middle Pa group in dependent variables and not from high Pa group. Results: HVI cannot discriminate the three group. On the other hand, in the analysis of MMPI validation scale and Harris-Lingoes subscale, the low pa group had higher score on L, K scale than high Pa group. Low Pa group is significantly high in Naivete(Pa3) but low in Persecutory idea(Pa1) and Poignancy(Pa2). That is, patients with low Pa scores were more defensive about their own problems or symptoms and revealed less persecutory idea. But they leaked their covert paranoid tendency through the Naivete subscale. Conclusion: Low score on Pa does indicate paranoid tendency.

Intrusive thought (IT) as a common inner experience can cause various psychopathologies if not effectively controlled. This study aimed to extend the Thought Control Questionnaire (TCQ) measuring strategies to control IT in terms of punishment, worry, distraction, social control, and reappraisal by adding decentering to broaden the scope of thought control strategy. The Extended TCQ (E-TCQ), Cognitive Fusion Scale, Five-Facets Mindfulness Questionnaire, Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale, Self-rating Anxiety Scale, and Padua Inventory were administered to the 582 cyber university students (sample A 344, sample B 58, and sample C 180). In sample A, an exploratory factor analysis along with exploratory structural equation modeling was conducted. It revealed a six-factor structure consisting of existing five factors plus decentering as a separate factor supporting the construct validity of E-TCQ. In sample B, the new decentering subscale showed expected correlations with mindfulness and cognitive fusion, confirming its concurrent validity. Furthermore, the decentering subscale explained depression and anxiety additionally in sample A and obsessive thought in sample C above the existing five strategies proving its incremental validity. All six strategies showed fair internal consistency. The five strategies except worry showed proper test-retest reliability over months. These findings suggest that the E-TCQ provides a wider coverage for regulating IT and better adaptation con?sequence than the original TCQ. Finally, limitations of this study and directions for future research were presented. 침투 사고는 보편적이지만, 효과적으로 조절하지 못하면 다양한 정신병리를 유발할 수 있다. 침투 사고의 통제 방략으로 처벌, 걱정, 주의분산, 사회적 통제, 재평가 등을 측정하는 도구가사고 통제 질문지(Thought Control Questionnaire: TCQ)인데, 본 연구는 TCQ의 측정범위를넓히기 위해 탈중심화를 추가하여 확장하고자 했다. 사이버대생 582명(표집 A 344명, B 58명, C 180명)에게 TCQ 확장판, 인지적 융합 척도(CFQ), 5요인 마음챙김 척도(FFMQ), 우울 척도(CES-D), 불안척도(SAS), 파두아 강박 질문지(PI) 등을 실시했다. 표집 A에서 TCQ 확장판에 대해 탐색적 구조방정식 모형을 적용한 결과, 기존 5요인에 더해서 탈중심화가 분리되는 6 요인 구조를 보여서 구성개념의 적절성이 지지되었다. 표집 B에서 탈중심화 소척도는 CFQ와FFMQ에 비추어 적절한 공존 타당도를 보였다. 표집 A에서 탈중심화 방략은 기존 방략에 더하여 우울과 불안에 대해, 그리고 표집 C에서는 강박 사고에 대해 각각 추가 설명력을 보여서증분 타당도가 입증되었다. 확장판은 내적 일치도가 양호했고, 대부분의 방략은 6주 검사-재검사 신뢰도가 적절했다. 이는 TCQ에 비해 확장판이 침투 사고의 조절 방략 및 그 결과에 대해더 넓은 설명력을 가짐을 시사한다. 끝으로 본 연구의 한계와 미래 연구의 방향을 제시했다.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the seismic performance of Welded Unreinforced Flange-Welded web (WUF-W) moment connections designed according to requirements of the current seismic codes. The effects of beam depth and panel zone strength on plastic rotation capacity of WUF-W moment connections were described in these tests. In total, four full-scale one-sided test specimens were considered and quasi-static cyclic testing was conducted. From the test results, it was found that test specimens having deep beam fractured in the beam flange before achieving total interstory drift angle of 0.04 radian required for Special Moment Frames (SMF) system in ANSI/AISC-341, while shallow beam specimens performed well, achieving total interstory drift angle of at least 0.04 radians. Also, WUF-W moment connections fabricated using access hole details specified in the provision are prone to premature fracture in the beam flange before satisfying the requirement of beam-to-column connections used in SMF system due to the increase of the strain demand at the toe of the beam flange..

Reduced Beam Section connections (RBS) are newly developed connections for steel moment frames. FEMA 350 permits the RES with a bolted web connection (RES-B) to be used in Special Mement Frames (SMF). However, there is experimental data showing at least some RES-B connection test specimens that failed to achieve the rotations required of SMF connections. In ANSI/AISC 358 which represents essentially an updated version of FEMA 350, the RBS-B connection is not prequalified for use in SMF connection. Only the RBS with a welded web connection (RBS-W) is prequalified for SMF The objective of this study is to evaluate the seismic performance of the steel moment frames with RBS-B. For this purpose, 3-story, 9-story, and 20-story steel moment frame buildings located in Los Angles were considered. Nonlinear static pushover analysis, nonlinear time history analysis (NLTH), and incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) are conducted. According to FEMA 350, confidence level of the frame was evaluated for the two performance objectives, IO and CP against the hazard level of 50% and 2% in 50 years. The seismic performance was evaluated in compliance with procedure specified in FEMA 350.

The purpose of this study is to propose a new design provisions for Reduced Beam Section with bolted web(RBS-B) connections for seismic applications at IMF system. This study is evaluating the rotation capacity of RBS-B connections. RBS connections are newly developed connections for high ductility and energy dissipation capacity. However some experimental specimens have been demonstrated that RBS-B connection was abnormally failed at the face of column and did not satisfy the enough plastic rotation capacity required for that of region of high seismicity. This experimental results were considered and limitation range of RBS-B connections was revised at IMF systems(ANSI/AISC 358-05). In this study, a number of parameters which influence the behavior of RBS-B connection were considered and proposed the new RBS-B design provisions for IMF system's limitation value by using dominated parameters at plastic capacity of RBS-B connection.
