칸트 철학과 도덕 교육 - 벡(Beck)의 이중적 문제제기를 중심으로 -

칸트에 따르면 인간은 도덕적 완성을 통해 자신의 사명을 완수할 수 있으며, 도덕 교육의 목표는 바로 인간을 도덕적 완성을 향해 인도하는 것이다. 도덕 교육의 중요성과 필요성을 주장하는 칸트에 대해 두 가지 비판이 제기되곤 한다. 첫째는 도덕 교육에 대한 칸트 윤리학의 부정적 함축이 칸트의 도덕 교육에 대한 긍정적 주장과 충돌한다는 비판이고, 둘째는 도덕 교육의 가능성에 대한 일반적 문제제기인 ‘도덕 교육의 역설’이 칸트에게도 마찬가지로 적용될 수 있다는 비판이다. 이 논문의 목표는 바로 이 두 가지 비판에 대해 답하는 것이다. 이를 위해 우선 우리는 1절에서 도덕 교육에 대한 칸트의 일반적 입장을 정리하고 2절에서 칸트에 대한 두 가지 비판을 자세히 살펴볼 것이다. 두 가지 비판 중에서 3절은 첫째 비판을, 4절과 5절은 둘째 비판을 다룰 것이다. 먼저 3절은 덕의 경험적 성격과 예지적 성격에 대한 칸트의 구별을 자세히 검토한 뒤 칸트의 윤리학이 도덕 교육의 중요성과 필요성을 부정하지 않는다는 점을 해명할 것이다. 이어서 4절과 5절은 도덕 교육의 역설적 상황을 이미 칸트가 분명히 인지하고 있었음을 보이고 그 역설적 상황을 피하기 위해 칸트가 제안하는 도덕 교육의 방법이 무엇인지 검토할 것이다. According to Kant humans can achieve their vocation through moral perfection, and the aim of moral education is no other than to lead humans to moral perfection. Now there are two criticisms against Kant’s claims on the importance and necessity of moral education. One is that Kant’s positive claims on moral education conflict with the negative implications of his ethics, and the other is that the so-called ‘paradox of moral education’ which generally calls into question the possibility of moral education can also apply to Kant’s conception of moral education. It is the very purpose of this paper to answer both criticisms. For this purpose, in Section 1 we will summarize Kant’s basic position on moral education, and in Section 2 we will identify two criticisms against Kant in detail. With regard to the first of these two criticisms, in Section 3 we will reconsider Kant’s distinction between two characters of virtue, i.e., its empirical and intelligible character, and then will elucidate that Kant’s ethical thought does not reject his positive claims on moral education. With regard to the second criticism, finally in Section 4 and 5 we will show that Kant had already recognized the possibility of paradoxical situation in moral education, and then will identify what is proposed by Kant in order to avoid such a paradoxical situation.

칸트의 비판철학과 선험적 대상: 선험적 대상의 세 가지 의미

『순수이성비판』에 등장하는 몇몇 용어들은 불분명한 의미로 인해 지금까지도 비판받고 있다. `선험적 대상` 개념은 그 대표적인 예라 할 수 있다. `선험적 대상` 개념에 대한 비판은 두 부류로 구분될 수 있다. 첫째 부류의 비판은 `선험적 대상` 개념의 애매성을 인정하지 않는다. 이 비판에 따르면 `선험적 대상` 개념은 `사물자체`의 개념과 동일한 것으로 `전(前) 비판기적 유물`일 뿐이다. 둘째 부류의 비판은 `선험적 대상` 개념의 애매성을 인정한다. 그러나 이 비판에 따르면, `선험적 대상` 개념의 애매성은 단지 칸트의 부주의한 용어 사용의 여러 사례 중 하나에 불과하다. 이런 비판에 맞서 여러 학자들이 `선험적 대상` 개념을 올바로 해명하고자 시도한 바 있다. 이들은 `선험적 대상` 개념의 두 가지 의미를 구별하고 각각의 의미에 따른 `선험적 대상` 개념이 모두 칸트 비판철학의 산물이라고 해명한다. 그러나 이런 해명은 여전히 부족하다. 이 논문은 `선험적 대상` 개념이 세 가지 의미를 지니며, 이 세 가지 의미를 통해서야 비로소 `선험적 대상` 개념을 칸트 비판철학의 기획에 따라 총체적으로 이해할 수 있다고 주장 한다. 이를 위해 우선 `선험적 대상` 개념의 두 가지 의미를 밝히고 각각의 의미에 따라 `선험적 대상` 개념이 칸트의 비판적 기획과 어떻게 관련되는지 설명할 것이다. 이어서 지금까지 간과된 `선험적 대상` 개념의 셋째 의미를 구별하고, 이 셋째 의미의 선험적 대상 개념이 칸트 비판철학과 관련하여 어떤 역할을 수행하는지 해명할 것이다. Kant`s Critique of Pure Reason has come under criticism for its obscure and ambiguous terminology since its publication. One of the representative examples is his concept of the `transcendental object.` Its critics can be classified into two groups. The first does not admit the ambiguity of the term, `transcendental object.` According to this group, the term is identical to the term, `thing in itself,` and is merely a pre-Critical survival. On the contrary, the second group admits its ambiguity. However, this group disregards such ambiguity merely as another example of Kant`s notoriously careless terminology. Many commentators have argued against these critics that the concept of the `transcendental object` has two different meanings, each of which contributes to Kant`s critical philosophy. Nevertheless, this explanation is still not sufficient. In this paper, we claim that the concept of the transcendental object has three different meanings. Only through these meanings can Kant`s concept of the `transcendental object` be fully understood in accordance with Kant`s critical philosophy. In order to show this, first, we will explain two different meanings of the transcendental object and their relation to Kant`s critical design. Then, we will try to distinguish the third meaning of the transcendental object which has so far been overlooked by most commentators, and elucidate its important role in Kant`s critical philosophy.

칸트의 의미론적 기획과 분석적 칸트주의의 새로운 경향

분석적 칸트주의는 “칸트의 생각을 명백히 분석적으로 해석하고 옹호하며 다듬”고자 하는 분석철학의 한 흐름이다. 최근 분석적 칸트주의에서는 칸트의 『순수이성비판』을 의미론적으로 해석하려는 시도가 새롭게 주목받고 있다. 이 새로운 시도는 현대의 의미론적 논의 맥락에서 칸트철학의 의의를 새롭게 조명하고자 한다. 이 논문의 목표는 분석적 칸트주의의 이런 의미론적 시도가 가능한지 검토하고 그와 관련된 쟁점을 확인하는 것이다. 이 논문은 먼저 『순수이성비판』에 대한 의미론적 해석과 기존 해석의 차이점을 설명한 다음, 어떻게 『순수이성비판』의 비판적 기획이 의미론적 기획으로 이해될 수 있는지, 즉 『순수이성비판』에 대한 의미론적 해석의 일반적 가능성을 보여줄 것이다. 그리고 마지막으로 이 논문은 분석적 칸트주의의 다양한 의미론적 해석이 서로 대립하는 주요 쟁점이 무엇인지 제시할 것이다. Analytic Kantianism is a type of analytic philosophy that tries “a distinctly analytic interpretation, defence, and elaboration of Kant’s ideas.” Recently in the spotlight is a new trend of analytic Kantianism, namely an analytic interpretation of Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason in terms of semantics. This new approach attempts to elucidate the significance of Kant’s philosophy in the semantic context of our times. This paper aims to generally examine the possibility of such a semantic interpretation and to identify its main issues. For this purpose we shall first explain the difference between the traditional interpretations and the recent semantic interpretations, and then try to show the general possibility of semantic interpretations on Kant’s first Critique, i.e., how Kant’s critical project can be understood as a semantic one. Finally, we shall present what are the controversial issues of analytic Kantianism with regard to their semantic interpretations on Kant’s first Critique.

정적, 동적 출구조건에서의 초음속 흡입구 유동진동 해석 연구

Ramjet engine has small throttling ratio in initial launching state and pressure around the engine oscillates in high frequency. Moreover, at that time, throttling ratio is changed abruptly. The flow unsteadiness from throttling ratio changing could bring result in engine unstart or even structure damage to engine. A numerical study was conducted to simulate the pressure oscillation phenomenon that is occurred in small throttling ratio. Simulation and analysis of flow charateristics are not only nuder static throttling condition but also under dynamic throttling condition. Generally, throttling ratio is defined as ratio of throat area and exit area. Throttling ratio 0.70 is threshold between high frequency boundary and low frequency boundary in the present geometry[1] research. Numerical simulation is conducted in 0.55 throttling ratio case and 0.00 that is below 0.70. By the way, the result shows high frequency oscillation between 300 and 400 Hz. Dynamic throttling condition is assumed that throttling ratio can be moved in the range between 0.00 and 0.70. Numerical analysis and discussion of result is conducted for the changing of flow oscillation characteristics under the dynamic throttling condition from the initial condition that pressure oscillation has been already onset.

수치해석을 이용한 이어도 기지 구조물이 해수 유동에 미치는 영향 분석과 해류 관측 평가 및 보정방안 연구

이어도에 건설된 다목적 해양과학기지에서는 주위 대류 및 해류의 데이터 수집을 통해 기상, 어장예보 등의 기초 자료를 제공하는 것을 한 가지 목적으로 한다. 그런데 이어도 기지 구조물에 의한 해수 유동의 변화는 과학기지의 관측 데이터에 영향을 주어 정확한 자료 수집을 어렵게 하므로, 이어도 기지 구조물이 주위 유동에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 유동 정보 관측을 평가/보정하는 방법에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위한 기초연구로, 해류와 구조물 사이의 상호 작용을 모사 할 수 있는 알고리즘을 연구, 적용방법을 논의한다. 그 결과, 3차원 전산유체역학을 이용한 수치해석을 통해 이어도 기지 구조물 및 수중암초가 주위 유동에 미치는 영향을 연구하고 정확한 데이터 측정방법을 제안한다. One of the main function of Ieodo Ocean Research Station is to service the information about the weather and fishing grounds condition which are collected through calibrating convection flow and ocean current around the station. However, due to the influence of the station's structure below sea level, it is difficult to obtain the exact flow data. Therefore, it is required to research on the effect of the structure and the method to evaluate and revise the observed data. In this paper, as a basic study, it deals with the algorithm that simulate the interaction between ocean current and the station structure, followed by discussions about the way to applicate the algorithm. Through 3-dimensional computational fluid dynamics analyses (using Navier-Stokes equations with K-turbulence model), the influence of the station and submerged rocks are quantitatively evaluated, and we would suggest methods how to obtain accurate flow information from the measured rough data.

『순수이성비판』에서 초월적 이념들의 초월적 연역에 대하여

This paper aims to examine Kant`s attempt in the Critique of Pure Reason to provide a transcendental deduction for pure concepts of reason, i.e., for transcendental ideas. For this purpose, we claim as follows: First, although Kant, at a glance, may appear to waver inconsistently between a positive and a negative position on the possibility for the transcendental deduction of the transcendental ideas, he actually has a consistently positive position on it in the Critique. Secondly, whereas the transcendental deduction of the categories aims to justify their determinate objective validity, the transcendental deduction of the transcendental ideas aims to justify their indeterminate objective validity. Thirdly, such an indeterminate objective validity of the transcendental ideas can be understood by identifying their regulative function as an analogue of a schema to unite the manifold cognitions of understanding in a system. Fourthly, the regulative function of the transcendental ideas is necessarily required to systematically expand and unite our empirical cognitions, and ultimately to complete the incomplete function of understanding which is constitutive as regards experience. Therefore, insofar as our experience must be a systematically united whole, the transcendental ideas are necessary conditions for the possibility of experience, and, as such, are objectively valid, though indeterminate.

시각 장애인을 위한 모바일 점자 메신저

시각 장애인을 위한 모바일 점자 메신저는 시각장애인이 Mobile Phone 사용 시 활용할 수 없었던 부분인 LCD 화면 부분을 점자 출력기로 대체한다. 시각장애인은 키 패드와 점자 출력기 이용하여 메뉴 이동 및 기능을 이용할 수 있다. 시각 장애인은 키 패드를 이용하여 점자를 입력하고, 입력한 점자로 문자 메시지를 보내면 본 메신저는 점자를 한글로 변환하여 문자 메시지를 전송하게 된다. 반대로 한글로 된 문자 메시지를 받게 되면 본 시스템은 한글을 점자로 변환하여 점자 출력기로 출력함으로써 시각 장애인도 편리하게 Mobile Phone 의 기능을 활용할 수 있다.

초음속 엔진 흡입구 형상설계 파라미터 연구

이 논문은 초음속유동 엔진의 흡입구 형상을 설계할 때 고려해야 할 주요 파라미터에 대한 것이다. 공력적인 특성을 기본으로 흡입구 설계에 필요한 주요 파라미터들에 대해 정리하였다. 또한 몇 가지 대기조건에서 외란이 발생했을 경우 추가되는 파라미터들을 수식에 적용하여 그 결과를 검증하였다. This paper is a study on parameters that are important to design the intake geometry of supersonic propulsion system. Based on the aerodynamic characteristics, main parameters for intake design were investigated. In addition, additional parameters were adopted and verified by applying some equations in case of external disturbance according to atmospheric conditions.
