옥외용 LED 조명기구를 위한 인체감지용 멀티센서 모듈 개발

The multi-sensor module is developed by combining both Passive Infrared(PIR) sensor used for human detection, and Microwave(M/W) sensor used for detecting the tiny movement in long distance, in order to make the outdoor LED lighting intelligent. With the optimized design of the PIR sensor reflector as well as adjustment of the angle and direction of PIR and M/W installation, we found suitable detection zone at the outdoor lighting condition. In the experiment, the successful detection rate of PIR is from 81 to 97 percentage for each different ranges except for detection range of 3 to 4 meter where no detection was occurred. The successful detection rate of M/W sensor is over 82 percentages for all detection zones. The outdoor LED lighting can be intelligent by removing the undetectable and poor detection zone by using the multi-sensor module developed in this study.
히트파이프 및 스택핀을 이용한 50W급 옥외용 LED 모듈개발

We proposed 50W-LED modules of using Heat-pipe and Stack-fin and produced LED modules was evaluated heat dissipation characteristics with comparison of the conventional die-casting type. It verified the application of products by applying it to 150W-LED road luminaires through simulation. The LED module was measures aimed design temperature of the Stack-fin and showed 26% upward heat dissipation effect than a conventional die-casting type. The luminous efficacy of 150W-LED road luminaires using this LED module reached over 112lm/W, and the simulation results showed average of horizontal luminance, overall luminance uniformity(UO) and lane luminance uniformity(UI) that is suitable for five-lane road with the KS standards.

A passive infrared (PIR) sensor module was developed to detect a human body at any location within a detection zone by using two PIR sensors and one reflector. In addition, a multi-sensor system was developed by using two PIR sensor modules and three microwave (M/W) sensors to detect human motion in a detection range of 15m and a detection angle of 180° without a shadow area. This multi-sensor system was then used to develop an algorithm to perform six different scenarios depending on a pedestrian’s behavioral patterns and then appropriately dim an LED outdoor lighting fixture from 100% to 50% or 70%. This multi-sensor system and the algorithm were then applied to develop a 60W intelligent LED outdoor lighting fixture consisting of a heat pipe and stack-fin heat-sink. Experiments to evaluate performance and usability of the luminaire as a security luminaire were conducted. Experiments results showed that the dimming control of the lighting fixture successfully performed depending on the pedestrian behavioral patterns as designed. Furthermore, the fixture power consumption was reduced by 46.3%, and the luminous efficiency was improved by 9.0% by 50% dimming. Finally, the total weight of the fixture was lighter than that of the existing LED lighting fixtures by 12.0%, and the electrical energy consumption was also reduced by 41.3%.
Glass Remote Phosphor 구조를 갖는 백색 LED 패키지의 형광체 함량과 열처리 온도 최적화

In this research, a 6W white LED package with a Glass Remote Phosphor was developed to improve the life of an LED package. The Glass Remote Phosphor was fabricated by the Phosphor in Glass (PiG) method, wherein phosphor YAG:Ce was mixed with glass frit and then heat treated. A paste with 75wt.% of a phosphor substance and 25wt.% glass frit was coated on a glass substrate two times using the screen-printing technique and heat-treated at 800℃ ; this structure gave a luminous efficacy of 136.1lm/W, color rendering index of 74Ra, and color temperature of 5,342K, thus satisfying the requirements as a light source for lighting. Moreover, an IES LM-80 accelerated life test was conducted on the same LED package for 6,000h in order to estimate the L70 lifetime based on IES TM-21. The results showed guaranteed lifetimes of 213,000h at 55℃, 245,000h at 85℃, and 209,000h at 95℃.
