Recent data development has made it possible to analyze each individual’s daily commuting by using transportation card transaction. This research utilizes about 1 million observations from the subway line no.7 of Seoul metropolitan transportation data. By using such a massive dataset, the authors try to identify daily travel behavior of morning commute and its possible relationship between subway usage and socio-economic factors. There are 4 main types of users and their travel behavior, and top 15 stations with the most users for arrival and departure are selected. Accordingly, 15 stations have distinctive characteristics including population density and the number of businesses around stations. To identify this fact, the 4 most populated stations are selected and their socio-economic factors are examined. According to the analysis, the most departure stations are generally surrounded by hihgly populated residential areas, whereas the most arrival stations are stood within the job concentrated districts.

Recent technological improvements have made abundant changes in construction industry. In specific, some technical applications, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) opens up many possibilities. Some studies have articulated the use of BIM and its advantages in construction, but most of them are theoretical, not practical. This study is to provide an insight to such obstacles in BIM research. By investigating a real project that could utilize BIM in planning and construction phases, the authors try to investigate a possible outline of advantages in BIM implementation. The study area was set to a railway construction site in South Korea. The site covers a multiple railway tracks, stations, telecommunication facilities, infrastructure facilities, railway structures, and so numerous. In the site, the authors have identified 12 errors in 7 projects that could be prevented if BIM was utilized before the construction.
도시재생사업의 지역지식이 도시건강에 미치는 영향 연구 - 서울시를 중심으로 -

This study aims to examine the impact of local knowledge on urban regeneration projects regarding urban health; the mediated effects of the physical and socioeconomic aspects of resident-based projects pertaining to the relationship between local knowledge and urban health were analyzed. The spatial scope targeted 25 autonomous districts in the Seoul metropolitan area, and the content scope centered on 53 urban regeneration projects in Seoul with health statistics from the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The time limit was set to seven years from 2012 to 2018, one year after the start of Seoul-type urban regeneration projects. A correlation and multiple regression analysis was conducted to analyze the impact of local knowledge on urban regeneration projects involving urban health. A total of six variables were organized into local knowledge corresponding to independent variables of local status and resident participation, resident-based projects corresponding to mediator variables of physical and socioeconomic projects, and urban health corresponding to dependent variables of mental and physical health. Analysis results of these variables revealed that resident participation in local knowledge had a significant impact on mental health as it relates to urban health through socioeconomic projects that were resident-based projects.

Recently, the government has actively promoted the introduction of BIM at the national level to improve the efficiency and productivity of the construction industry, and private interest in the application of BIM has also increased. However, despite the large amount of references and information, not much research has been done in quantitative ways to accurately measure the performance of BIM projects. The purpose of this study is to review performance measurement cases using ROI, investment effect analysis, and queue model analysis using domestic and overseas BIM guideline research and to present standard templates that can quantitatively measure BIM performance records according to domestic conditions based on this. Performance measurement trends and cases according to the application of BIM were analyzed, and nine quantification elements were derived from this, and based on this, a performance measurement data collection template at the BIM life cycle stage was prepared. Detailed items and contents were prepared for the nine quantification elements, and the final template consisted of a total of 43 questions, divided into the entire stage (15), the beginning (8), the middle (8), and the latter (12) areas. It is expected that by using the standard template of railway BIM performance records developed in this study, the BIM design stage will be diagnosed and the deficiencies will be supplemented, which will be the basic data for measuring actual quantitative performance in all life cycle performance of future BIM projects.
곤충병원선충(Steinernema carpocapsae)의 최적보관을 위한 환경요인

Effects of temperature, pH, and salt concentration on the preservation of the infective juvenile entolopathogenic nematodes, Steinernema carpocapsae, were analyzed. The effects of acclimation to sublethal low temperature and glycerol concentrations on rapid cold hardening of the nematodes were also evaluated to set up the conditions for their cryopreservation. All tested environmental factors could change the storage effectiveness of the nematodes. These analyses indicated that the optinal storage condition for the nematodes consisted of $15^{\circ}C$, pH 8.5, and 0.5-1.0% salt concentration. The nematodes showed a rapid could hardening in response to $5^{\circ}C$ for 2h. Glycerol induced the nematodes to increase the cold hardiness. Its high concentration over 10%, however, gave a harmful effect on the nematode survival.
