This paper describes the potential application of ash-free coal to direct carbon fuel cell (DCFC). DCFC can be made of typical fuel cell components and generates the electric energy by direct electrochemical oxidation of carbon, replacing hydrogen with solid carbon fuel. Carbon is mostly originated from coal, which is readily available, easily transportable, and economical. However, employing coal as a carbon source has been excluded, mainly due to its high ash content. The ash-free coal, produced by solvent extraction of combustibles from raw coal, can be applicable as carbon fuel to DCFC. The successful adaption may cut the fuel cost to one third of usual hydrogen fuel cells. In addition, 80% of power generation efficiency can be achieved and CO₂ emission from the conventional coal-fired power plant can be reduced by 90%.
테니스 플랫서브시 키네시올로지 테이핑 적용에 따른 어깨뼈의 운동학적 분석

본 연구는 대학 테니스 선수를 대상으로 플랫서브 동안 어깨관절 충돌 증후군 유무에 따른 어깨뼈 움직임의 차이를 분석하고 어깨뼈 움직임을 조절하는 키네시올로지 테이핑 적용 효과를 확인하고자 하였다. K대학교에서 훈련 중인 15명의 엘리트 테니스 선수를 어깨관절 충돌 증후군(SIS)집단 7명(남자 3명, 여자 4명)과 대조(CON)집단 8명(남자 5명, 여자 3명)으로 분류하였고, 3차원 영상분석을 통해 플랫서브 동안 어깨뼈 움직임을 분석하였으며, 키네시올로지 테이핑 적용 후 어깨뼈 움직임을 재분석하였다. 플랫서브는 5개의 이벤트로 구분하였고, 어깨뼈의 아래쪽(+)/위쪽(-) 돌림, 뒤쪽(+)/앞쪽(-) 기울임 및 안쪽(+)/가쪽(-) 돌림을 수치화하였다. 그 결과, 남자선수의 경우 위팔뼈가 최대 가쪽돌림이 되는 지점과 임팩트 순간에서 SIS집단의 어깨뼈(각각 -7.31±1.19°와 -5.28±1.08°)가 CON집단(각각 -0.98±5.38°와 -0.44±3.52°)에 비해 앞쪽으로 더 기울어져 있었고(각각 Z=-2.309, p=.021와 Z=-2.309, p=.021), 여자선수의 경우 위팔뼈가 최대 가쪽돌림이 되는 지점에서 SIS집단의 어깨뼈(-8.11±2.57°)가 CON집단(-0.97±3.31°)에 비해 앞쪽으로 더 기울어져 있었으나(Z=-2.121, p=.034), 테이핑 적용에 따른 어깨뼈 움직임의 긍정적인 변화는 보이지 않았다. This study aimed to identify the difference of scapular movements between tennis players with and without shoulder impingement syndrome(SIS) and to verify the effect of kinesiology taping applied to scapular. A total of 15 players were categorized in SIS group(n=7) and control(CON) group(n=8). The scapular movements evaluated using 3-dimensional motion analysis in the 5 events of the flat first serve before and after the application of taping. The male of SIS group(-7.31±1.19° and -5.28±1.08°, respectively) had tilted scapular more anteriorly compared to CON group(-0.98±5.38° and -0.44±3.52°, respectively) at the maximally humeral external rotation and the impact(Z=-2.309, p=.021 and Z=-2.309, p=.021, respectively). The scapular(-8.11±2.57°) of female in SIS group tilted more anteriorly than that of CON(-0.97±3.31°) group at the maximally humeral external rotation(Z=-2.121, p=.034). But the scapular movements had no statistical differences between before and after the application of taping.
휘발성 유기화합물의 고농축 흡탈착을 위한 이동층 장치 개발

In this research, moving bed adsorption and highly concentrated desorption technology was developed for the treatment of multi-component volatile organic compounds. By applying the moving bed adsorption and desorption technology, the competitive adsorption phenomena, which occur when the multi-component volatile organic compounds are adsorbed, can be controlled by adjusting the moving speed of the adsorbent. In addition, the adsorbents can be used for a long time by regeneration. The moving bed adsorption and desorption experiments were carried out 30 times using coconut-based activated carbon to remove water soluble solvents. The adsorption performance was maintained above 95%, resulting in a loss of only about 3% of adsorbents during the experiments. The concentrated ratio of the desorption gas reached 96 times of the concentration of the inlet gas. It is expected to solve problems such as the maintenance of the fixed bed adsorption towers used in small company and replacement costs of adsorbents through the moving bed adsorption and desorption technology.
대학 엘리트 운동선수들의 종목에 따른 도핑에 대한 사고방식과 스포츠 성취목표 성향 및 지각된 동기분위기의 관계 분석

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the relationship between the attitudes toward doping, sport orientation, and perceived motivational climate in sport, and to provide useful information on the anti-doping strategy. Methods: A total of 567 athletes in 21 sports completed four questionnaires Performance Enhancement Attitude Scale (PEAS), Sport Orientation Questionnaire (SOQ; competitiveness orientation, win orientation, goal orientation), Task and Ego Orientation in Sport Questionnaire (TEOSQ; task orientation, ego orientation), and Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire-2 (PMCSQ-2; ego-involving and task-involving climates). They were divided into four categories: speed/power (n=201), endurance (n=154), motor skill (n=119), and team (n=93). We identified the difference of variables among four categories and verified possible factors significantly associated with attitudes toward doping. Results: The PEAS of athletes in both speed/power sports and Team sports was higher than motor skill sports, and the team sports athletes also showed higher PEAS than endurance sports athletes. In speed/power sports, the task of TEOSQ and the win of SOQ were related to PEAS, and in endurance sports, the task of TEOSQ and the ego-involving of PMCSQ were related to PEAS. In motor skill sports and Team sports, the task-involving of PMCSQ and the goal of SOQ were associated with PEAS, respectively. Conclusion: The results of this study provided new insights into the psychosocial mechanisms of attitudes toward doping, and it would contribute significantly to effective anti-doping strategies based on sports characteristics.
