Three phase Boost/Buck converter which have economical merits and simple control scheme, are analyzed and evaluated through comparative methods and digital simulation for equivalent load Those play a part of voltage boost/buck as well as power factor correction with single switch. Controller operating in constant and variable frequency is used for rapid output response and stable system condition respectively Moreover low THD property of single switched converter is available for inverter arc welding machine known as high power and low power factor. So in this paper a comparison of the characteristics in boost and buck converter is described and then simulation results conforms the merits from the point of view of power factor and voltage regulator.<br/> <br/>

This paper proposes the virtual implementation of solar cell(VISC) for photovoltaic system, It is required to make operation condition of solar cell arrays where is the limit of time and space<br/> The main advantage of the simulator is its ability to simulate different types and sizes of arrays considering V-I characteristics of data sheet. The VISC with buck-boost converter can be used to study the short-term and long-term performances of PV cells, The simulator is a far more cost effective and reliable replacement for field and ,flight testing.

In general, DC power supply of arc-welding machine has been used to the diode rectifier. It's defect is the high current harmonics which bring about distortion of the utility currents. In this paper, using the three-phase PWM converter, the performance of arc-welding machine is improved by increasing the input power factor. When the diode rectifier in the arc-welding<br/> machine is replaced with three-phase PWM<br/> converter, PWM converter should control DC voltage of the output side. If PI controller is used for the output DC voltage regulator, the output DC voltage has high ripple voltage due to the instantaneous load variation in the<br/> arc-welding machine. In this paper, the feedforward compensator has been introduced to reduce the DC voltage ripple. It lessens the influence of load current that is the disturbance of the output DC voltage regulator. Theoretical prediction of this analysis has been testified shows results by comparing with experimental data.

One of the drawbacks of using diode-bridge rectifiers in the unity interface, is the line-current harmonic distortion caused by the nonlinear nature of the rectifier operation. So, a PWM converter for the power factor correction is analysed in this paper. The proposed converter is selected for unity power factor as well as low cost design, which enable to meet the limits of international standards.
