The paper presents a new short-term dynamic displacement estimation method based on an acceleration and a geophone sensor. The proposed method combines acceleration and velocity measurements through a real time data fusion algorithm based on Kalman filter. The proposed method can estimate the displacement of a structure without displacement sensors, which is typically difficult to be applied to earthquake or fire sites due to their requirement of a fixed rigid support. The proposed method double-integrates the acceleration measurement recursively, and corrects an accumulated integration error based on the velocity measurement, The performance of the proposed method was verified by a lab-scale test, in which displacement estimated by the proposed method are compared to a reference displacement measured by laser doppler vibrometer (LDV).

Safety pharmacological properties of CJ-11555, an anti-cirrhotic agent, were investigated in experimental animals and in vitro test system. CJ-11555 had no effects on normal body temperature in rats, motor coordination, chemoshock induced by pentetrazol, electric shock induced by electric shocker and writhing syndromes in mice at dose levels of 100, 300 and 1,000 mg/kg. CJ-11555 inhibited intestinal activity and prolonged hexobarbital-induced sleeping time in mice at the dose level of 1,000 mg/kg. CJ-11555 affected on general activity and behaviour tests in SD rats, such as lacrimation, ptosis, piloerection, decreased body tone, abnormal dispersion within the cage, diarrhoea, red colored faeces, slight hypothermia and decreased grooming, at the dose level of 1,000<br/> mg/kg in rats. CJ-11555 was effected on cardiovascular and respiratory system in anesthetized beagle dogs, such as tachycardia, increase of mean blood pressure and decrease of PR interval, decrease of respiratory rate and minute volume, at dose levels of 10 and 30 mg/kg. However, these effects were also observed in vehicle treated anesthetized beagle dogs. In in vitro experiments, CJ-11555 inhibited agonists (histamine, acetyl-choline or BaCl2) induced contraction of isolated guinea-pig at the concentration of 30×10-6 M. CJ-11555 was weekly inhibited hERG channel current at concentrations of 10 and 30×10-6 M, and IC50 was estimated to be higher than 30×10-6 M. Based on these results, it was concluded that CJ-11555 affected on cardiovascular and respiratory system, general activity and behaviour and hexobarbital-induced sleeping time at the dose level of 1,000 mg/kg and contraction of the smooth muscle and hERG channel current at the concentration of 30×10-6 M.

이단계 칼만필터를 활용한 사회기반 건설구조물의 3자유도 동적변위 계측 시스템

The paper presents a new dynamic displacement measurement system. The developed displacement measurement system consists of a sensor module, a base module and a computation module. The sensor module, which contains a force-balanced accelerometer and low-price RTK-GNSS, measures the high-precision acceleration with sampling frequency of 100Hz, the low-precision displacement and velocity with sampling frequency of 10Hz. The measured data is transferred to the computation module through LAN cable, and precise displacement is estimated in real-time with 100Hz sampling frequency through a two stage Kalman filter. The field test was conducted at San Francisco-Oaklmand Bay bridge, CA, USA to verify the precision of the developed system, and it showed the RMSE was 1.68mm. 본 논문에서는 이단계 칼만필터를 활용한 구조물의 3 자유도 동적변위 계측 시스템을 소개한다. 개발 시스템은 센서 모듈, 베이스 모듈, 컴퓨테이션 모듈로 구성되어 있다. 센서 모듈은 100Hz 샘플주파수의 고정밀 가속도를 계측하는 포스피드백 가속도계와 10Hz의 샘플주파수의 저정밀도의 속도, 변위를 계측하는 저가의 RTK-GNSS로 구성되어 있다. 계측된 데이터는 LAN 케이블을 통하여 컴퓨테이션 모듈로 전송되고, 컴퓨테이션 모듈에서 이단계 칼만필터를 활용하여 100Hz 샘플주파수의 고정밀 변위를 실시간으로 산정한다. 개발 시스템의 변위 계측 정밀도를 검증하기 위해 미국, 캘리포니아에 위치한 San Francisco-Oaklmand Bay bridge에서 현장 실험을 수행하였으며, 실험 결과 1.68mm RMS 오차를 보임을 확인하였다.
Active Infrared Thermography for Visualizing Subsurface Micro Voids in an Epoxy Molding Compound

This paper presents an automated subsurface micro void detection technique based on pulsed infrared thermography for inspecting epoxy molding compounds (EMC) used in electronic device packaging. Subsurface micro voids are first detected and visualized by extracting a lock-in amplitude image from raw thermal images. Binary imaging follows to achieve better visualization of subsurface micro voids. A median filter is then applied for removing sparse noise components. The performance of the proposed technique is tested using 36 EMC samples, which have subsurface (below 150µm~ 300µm from the inspection surface) micro voids (150µm ~ 300µm in diameter). The experimental results show that the subsurface micro voids can be successfully detected without causing any damage to the EMC samples, making it suitable for automated online inspection.

A new antibiotic bead, CJ-40003 is a combination of three antibiotics, tobramycin, vancomycin and cefazolin embedded in bone cement, for the treatment of osteomyelitis. To evaluate the general pharmacological properties of CJ-40003, the effects of its active ingredients were investigated in mice, rats, dogs and isolated guinea pig ileum. The combination of three antibiotics (CA) did not affect general behavior, central nervous system, smooth muscles, gastrointestinal system, cardiovascular and respiratory system and water and electrolytes excretion when administered intravenously at the doses of 0.3, 1 and 3 mg/kg, respectively, into experimental animals. The CA had no effect on the contractile response of the isolated guinea pig ileum to various spasmogen at concentrations of 1, 3 and 10 ㎍/ml, respectively. In conclusion, the active ingredients of CJ-40003 showed no pharmacological effect in these studies.
