It is proposed to sample antithetically rather than randomly from the posterior density in Bayesian inference using Markov Chain Monte Carlo(MCMC). Antithetic variate Gibbs sampler has better reduction variance than original Gibbs sampler. But It is restricted on symmetric density function. In this paper We adapt SIR(sampling-improtant resampling) for estimating nonsymmetric density function.

Objectives: The 2015 Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) outbreak in Korea caused major economic and social problems. The control intervention was conducted during the MERS-CoV outbreak in Korea immediately after the confirmation of the index case. This study investigates whether the early risk communication with the general public and mass media is an effective preventive strategy. Methods: The SEIR (Susceptible, Exposed, Infectious, Recovered) model with estimated parameters for the time series data of the daily MERS-CoV incidence in Korea was considered from May to December 2015. For 10,000 stochastic simulations, the SEIR model was computed using the Gillespie algorithm. Depending on the time of control intervention on the 20th, 40th, and 60th days after the identification of the index case, the box plots of MERS-CoV incidences in Korea were computed, and the results were analyzed via ANOVA. Results: The box plots showed that there was a significant difference between the non-intervention and intervention groups (the 20th day, 40th day, and 60th day groups) and seemed to show no significant difference based on the time of intervention. However, the ANOVA revealed that early intervention was a good strategy to control the disease. Conclusion: Appropriate risk communication can secure the confidence of the general public in the public health authorities.

Garlic is classified as one of the three essential seasoning vegetables in Korea. In 2023, it was reported that the area under garlic cultivation was 24,700 ha, and the production stood at 318,220 tons. Garlic harvesting mechanization currently stands at 43.8%, and garlic is still collected manually after digging out using diggers, so the process is labor intensive. To reduce garlic production costs and enhance competitiveness, it is necessary to develop a high-performance gathering type harvester in place of the digging type harvester. Therefore, in this study, a gathering-type garlic harvester that can dig and collect simultaneously was designed and manufactured, and the harvest performance by factor was analyzed through a harvest performance test. As a result of the performance test, it was analyzed to perform optimally at a driving speed of 0.11m/s and a transfer speed of 85rpm. Work performance was calculated using the results obtained from the factor performance test.

Sequential Monte Carlo techniques are a set of powerful and versatile simulation-based methods to perform optimal state estimation in nonlinear non-Gaussian state-space models. We can use Monte Carlo particle filters adaptively, i.e. so that they simultaneously estimate the parameters and the signal. However, Sequential Monte Carlo techniques require the use of special particle filtering techniques which suffer from several drawbacks. We consider here an alternative approach combining particle filtering and Sequential Hybrid Monte Carlo. We give some examples of applications in fisheries(luespotted mud hopper data). 비선형이고 정규분포에 따르지 않는 state-space모형분석에서 순차적 몬테 칼로(SMC)는 유용한 도구 중의 하나이다. 모수와 시그럴을 동시에 추정하기 위해 Monte Carlo particle filters를 사용할 수가 있다. 그러나 SMC는 여러단계의 반복을 요구하는 특별한 particle filtering 기법을 필요로 하게 된다. 본 논문은 particle filering과 순차적 hybrid Monte Carlo(SHMC)을 결합하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 실험을 위해 짱뚱어 자료를 사용하였다.
