Bond Coat의 산화가 Thermal Barrier Coating의 파괴에 미치는 영향

플라즈마 용사법(plasma spray method)으로 제작된 상용 가스 터빈 연소기의 finned segment의 열차폐용 코팅계, ZrO2-8wt%Y2O3 top coat/Ni-26Cr-5Al-0.5Y bond coat/Hastelloy X superalloy 기판에서 NiCrAlY bond coat의 산화 거동과 열피로 파괴에 대하여 조사하였다. 생성된 bond coat의 주산화물은 NiO, CrO2, Al2O3였다. ZrO2/bond coat계면에서 생성된 산화물의 분포는 고온에서의 사용 전에 이 계면 아래에 얇은 층의 Al2O3가없는 곳에서는 NiO 산화층 및에 Cr2O3와 Al2O3가 혼합된 형태를 나타내었다. 열피로에 의해 박리된 시편의 파면을 관찰한 결과, 파괴는 주로 ZrO2/산화층 계면보다 세라믹층내로 약간 치우쳐서 일어나지만, 산화층 내에서도 약간 일어남을 알 수 있었다. The oxidation behavior of the NiCrAlY bond coat and thermal fatigue failure in the plasma-sprayed thermal barrier coating system, ZrO2.8wt%Y2O3 top coat/Ni-26Cr-5Al-0.5Y bond coat/Hastelloy X superalloy substrate, in commercial use for finned segment of gas turbine burner were investigated. The main oxides formed in the bond coat were NiO, Cr2O3, and Al2O3. It divided the oxide distribution at this interface into two types whether an Al2O3 thin layer existed beneath ZrO2/bond coat interface before operation at high temperature or not. While a continuous layer of NiO was formed mainly in the region where the Al2O3 thin layer was present, the absence of it resulted in the formation of mixture of Cr2O3 and Al2O3 beneath NiO layer. Analyses on the fracture surface of specimen spalled by thermal cycling showed that spalling occurred mainly along the ceram-ic coat near ZrO2/bond coat oxide layer interface, but slightly in the oxide layer region.
(Pb,La)$TiO_3$ 강유전체 세라믹에서 분역반전과 Acoustic Emission의 관계

The relationship between domain switching and acoustic emission (AE) during poling was investigated using the tetragonal ferroelectric ceramics with composition of (Pb,La)TiO3+0.01MnO2 The amount of AE generation during poling increased with increasing dc electric field and raising temperature. It was confirmed that the change of the amount of AE generation with poling condition resulted from the difference of the amount of 90$^{\circ}$ domain switching and total amount of AE generation for 10 minutes was approximately proportional to the amount of 90$^{\circ}$domain switching. The A generations of two specimens which have different tetragonality rations(c/s rations) 15 at% and 24at% La-doped were also investigated. The sample with c/a ratio of 1.012 where 90$^{\circ}$ domains are dominate had larger amount of AE generation and 90$^{\circ}$ domain switching compared with the sample with c/a ratio of 1.004 where 180$^{\circ}$ domains are dominant.
$(Pb, La)TiO_3$ 세라믹스의 소결 거동 및 유전.초전 특성

The sintering behavior of La-modified PbTiO3 ceramics was investigated in order to improve the poor sinterability of PbTiO3. Addition of La improved the sinterability. It was confirmed that this improvement was due to the decrease in tetragonality ratio c/a of crystal lattice. The variations of dielectric constant and pyroelectric coefficient were measured with temperature. It was observed that with the increase of La content, Curie temperature decreased and dielectric constant at room temperature increased. La-modified PbTiO3 ceramics had smaller pyroelectric figure of merits than those of pyroelectric materials in use. The effects of grain size on dielectric and pyroelectric properties were also investigated. The change of grain size had effect on maximum dielectric constant and pyroelectric coefficient, but is had little effect on pyroelectric figure of merit at room temperature. The closer examination near ferro-paraelectric phase transition temperature revealed that the behavior of phase transition approached a more relaxor character with the increase of La content and the decrease of grain size.
