The superconducting thin films have ben deposited on the SiOx substrate by R.F magnetron sputtering using YBa₂Cu₃Ox single target. The thickness of films was 1000-2000Å with a rate of 20-25Å/min and superconducting properties were studied of thin films depend on the compositions. We have studied the superconducting thin films obtained under the various conditions in this sputtering method of fabrication and aiso analyzed SEM photograph and X-ray diffraction patterns of calcination powder to target and the thin films have an influence in addition. We could measure the annealing condition and the electric properties of superconducting thin films owing to substrate about 50K.

In this paper, we calculate refractive index change of optical waveguide and electric field to simulate y-cut LiNbO₃optical waveguide at He-Ne laser (λ=0.6328[㎛]) by BPM mechanism. At waveguide width of 4[㎛], buffer layer of 0.02[㎛] of LiNbO₃ substrate (XI 55[㎛] x ZI 5000[㎛], we observed electric field Ex, Ey in x, y-direction. By applying these parameters of single waveguide to simulate a X-switch, we have chosen index change of 0.002, width of 3[㎛] and angle of 0.4。∼0.6°of optical waveguide and under these conditions, optical beam propagates cross-side at 0.4° When applied switching vlotage of 25[V], optical beam of X-switch turns cross-side to bar-side at intersection angle 0.4° index change of 0.002, wavegulde width of 3[㎛], electrode gap 2[㎛]. By the above results, we can obtain the basis design conditions of X-switch optical modulator. And optical single waveguide is fabricated on the y-cut LiNbO₃ single crystal substrate by Ti-indiffusion method. The line-width of the waveguide was made from 4[㎛] to 6[㎛]that observed single mode at 4[㎛] as a result of propagation of He-Ne(0.6328[㎛]) laser beam.
광 변조기 제작을 위한 양자확산 및 자기정열 방식에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 단일 광 변조기를 양자교환과 자기정열 방식을 이용하여 X-cut NiNbO$_{3}$기판에 제작하였다. 여기에서 어닐링 처리 효과는 단일 광 변조기에서 도파로의 굴절율 변화 특성을 나타냈으며 특히 어닐링 처리 시간의 조절에 의해서 단일 광 도파로가 광범위하게 변화된다는 것을 알았다. 이것을 기초로하여 광 변조기는 어닐링 공정 및 자기 정열방식에 의한 최적화와 간단화를 제작 공정에 응용 할 수 있었다.

We performed theoretical simulation for directional coupler using BPM program. Simulation results showed that the optimum optical waveguide width and the gap between the guides were 4μm. Using the parametes of n₁=2.25, n₂=2.25, n₃=2.2, gap=4μm, W=30μm, Z=0.1μm, λ=1.5m, we decided other design parametes. Proton exchange of proton diffusion method was applized to pattern a waveguide on a LiNbO₃ substrate.

The present study included the finite element analysis and optimal design of a multi-layered foldable structure (foldable display) to satisfy stress, neutral plane, and delamination requirements under a 2.5 mm radius of curvature (i.e., 2.5R) due to static bending load. Two bending types (inner folding and outer folding) were considered to accommodate the repeated bending, and their maximum stress values were evaluated. In the approximate optimization for the thickness and Young’s modulus of multiple film layers, the objective was to minimize the folding stress subjected to constraints on the positioning of the largest stress value to a neutral plane and prevention of delamination. Through the simultaneous change in thickness and Young’s modulus, the study identified the new position of a neutral axis so that a 16% improvement in the stress magnitude was obtained. A simulation-based T-peel test was also performed to analyze the fracture behavior of the adhesive, and the relation between the fracture toughness GC and separation load LP could be expressed as Lp = 12.687Gc. The optimized objective function value of von Mises stress was improved by 18% compared to an initial design, and constraints of the delamination indicator and positioning of the neutral plane were satisfied.

He-Ne레이저(.lambda.=0.6328[.mu.m])를 광원으로 사용하는 y-cut LiNbO$_{3}$기판의 광 도파로 형성 과정을 빔 전송방식 메카니즘을 이용하여 광 도파로에서 광파의 전계 변화 및 전계 분포에 대하여 시뮬레이션 하였다. 그리고 Xl(55[.mu.m])* Zl(5000[.mu.m])인 LiNbO$_{3}$기판의 광 도파로 폭을 4[.mu.m], 버퍼층을 0.02[.mu.m]로 하였을때 도파로 층의 깊이가 0.2[.mu.m]인 지점에서 인가전압에 대한 x방향의 전계(E$_{x}$)와 y방향의 전계(E$_{y}$ )분포를 관찰하였다. 또한 단일 도파로의 파라미터 조건을 적용하여 X-스위치를 구성하였을때 전계를 인가하지 않은 상태에서 굴절율 변화(dn) 0.002, 도파로 폭(w) 3[.mu.m]로 하여 도파로의 교차각(.alpha.)을 0.4.deg.~0.6.deg.로 변화시킨 경우, .alpha.=0.5.deg.와 0.6.deg.일 때는 광빔이 bar측으로 출력되었고 .alpha.=0.4에서는 광빔이 cross측으로 출력 됨을 확인하였다. 따라서 위에서 확인된 도파로의 교차각 .alpha.=0.4.deg.인 경우, 전극간격(gap)이 2[.mu.m]인 조건에서 스위칭 전압을 인가하였을 때 25[V]에서 전기광학 효과에 의하여 광빔이 cross측에서 bar측으로 변조됨을 확인함으로써 X-스위치 광변조기의 기본적인 설계조건을 구현하였다.

In this thesis, an waveguide for a single optical modulator which is fabricated on X-cut LiNbO₃substrate by proton exchange process is studied. After proton exchange process, annealing process gave an effect on the fabrication of the waveguide. The relationship between refractive index change of waveguide and maximum output was obtained, varying the annealing time for between 30 minutes and 260 minutes. A self-aligned method was used to simplify the fabrication process of the waveguide and to maximize efficiency of electric field. The depth of the diffused waveguide which was measured by using α-step was about 4 μm. The result was almost the same as simulation result. Also,an image reversal method was used to increase conductivity of electrode.
