電解法에 依한 Polyvinyl Alcohol 含有 廢水處理에 關한 硏究

The purpose of this study is to investigate into the electrolytic treatment of polyvinyl alcohol wastewater. In order to remove PVA from wastewater by electrolytic treatment, Fe electrode was used as a soluble electrode for this study. The results of this sutdy are as follows: 1. PVA was removed nearly to 100% as the value of ampere hour concentration was more than 0.5 Ahr/ℓ. 2. PVA was removed quickly as the current density was rised, the electrode distance was approached, NaCl was added and the initial pH of wastewater was above 7. 3. Regardless of the initial pH of wastewater, the pH of wastewater after electorolytic treatment was among 10 and 11. So, it is necessary to neutralize the treated water.

For the stabilization of leachate from municipal landfill treatment plants aerobic and anaerobic sludge digestion processes have been applied in mesoplilic temperature range. Uncertainty of the dynamics of leachate production has led to difficulties in the design and in plematation of control strategies, including full-scale leachate treatmente aperation. The general process, in order to control pollution effectively, require long retention time(10∼20days). In this study, thermal thermophilic aerobic digestion process for stabilization of study is a developed process based on the utilization of released heat from bio oxidation of organic matter to increase the process temperature in the therphilic temperature range(50-60℃). Possibility of pretreatment with coagulant including Chitosan solution, CaCO_3 and Diafloc mixture was tested on this raw leachate and aerated leachate. The results are summarized as follows. 1. Thermal thermophilic aerobic digestion temperature 50-60℃ at operation. 2. Effective for Chitosan solution, CaCO_3 and Diafloc of various flocculant at rapid mixing period 5 to 10 minutes. 1) Chitosan with 0.2mg/ℓ was resulted 97% removal of turbidity at pH 8. 2) When flocculant is used but COD and BOD was increasing after aeration. The major advantages of this study are process design for the destruction of pathognic micro organism normally contained in the leachate.

Chitosan is a collective term applied to deacetylated chitin in various stages of deacetylation arid depolymarization. Chitosan solution has been shown to be on effective agent for coagulation of suspended solids in various food processing wastes, including poultry egg, soy-milk processing waste. Chitosan is insoluble in water, alkalis and organic solvents but soluble in many dilute aqueous organic acids at concentration in the range of 0.25 to 10%. Viscosity was determined for same chitosan solution over the temperature range 20℃ to 45℃ and the time range 1 to 5. The purpose of this studies has been shown to be on effective agent for coagulation of suspended solids in various food-processing waste water, including egg and milk processing waste water. Treatment with chitosan and removal of the coaglated by gravity settling or dissolved air flotation typically resulted in suspended solids reductions of over 90%. We believe that because chitosan is derived from a natural product and composed of biodgradable structures, it may prove useful in the recovery of coagulated by-products from food-processing waster. Where these by-products will be recycles into animal feeds.
