This paper aims at understanding the transformed characteristics of expressional system of Church architecture in Korean traditional style. Through the analysis of transformed forms and its meanings of those, this paper investigates the unique process of stylistic development of Korean traditional church architecture in early modern, 1900's. The method of this study is the analyse of them after the actual field surveys of Korean traditional churches, specially eclecticism churches as the HWSAN church and KUPODONG church, and the analysis of Semiology. Theory for Semantic Interpretation of artistic objects as an objects of art and architecture. Specially, the survey concentrates on the architectural elements(the form, the architectural structure, the material, the roof shape, the window, the door, the bell tower, the plan, etc) of eclecticism churches, especially those of HWASAN church and the analysis of semiology theory contains the research results which were studied by theorists as Charles Jencks, Umberto Eco and Juan Pablo Bonta. Acceding to analysis, Korean eclecticism churches have the unique transformation process and specific meaning of the spontaneous process of development. In the results of the semiological analysis of HWASAN church, it can be revealed clearly that transformed process of form리 characteristics of HWASAN church intented to formal originality of western Gothic church, but its form and meaning were based not on any simply imported western style but on existing system of Korean architecture.

^x This paper aims to grasp the basical things of the architectural meaning of Bu - Seok Temple through the background of site selection and the analysis of arrangement change of it. For this purpose, I try to examine the process of folk- belief adhesion of Buddism and Feng - Shui as the choice factor of site when the temple was established, the spatial characters of the changing stage in arrangement. These characters of Bu - seok temple have significance for the basic study on the site selection and the spatial analysis of a mountainous district Temple in Shilla.
한네스 마이어와 바우하우스 건축교육방식의 특성에 관한 연구

이 논문은 한네스 마이어의 바우하우스에 있어서 건축교육방법론의 특징을 파악하려는 논문이다. 이 논문에서 바우하우스의 교과과정, 저서, 기록 등을 분석함으로서, 기능성, 현대생활의 도식적 구성, 그리고 사회성 등이 유발하는 다양한 문제와 마이어의 작품이 지니고 있는 의미 등을 분석하고 있다. 본 연구는 이와같은 사실에 근거하여, 바우하우스에서 행한 마이어의 교육방법이 갖는 변별성의 특성을 확보하고자 하며, 이를 통해 마이어의 교육방침을 그의 초기 건축적 실천과 중첩시켜 보임으로서 아방가르드의 실천자로서 그가 갖고 있던 건축적 개념이 어떻게 건축 교육적 차원으로 발전되어 나타나게 되었는지를 파악 하고자 한다. 이러한 연구 결과, 마이어는 기계적 및 기술적 진보에 따른 바우하우스 교육체계의 가능성을 인식하였으며 프롤레타리아 대중을 위한 건축을 추구하였음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 고찰을 통해 마이어의 바우하우스 교육체계에 대한 한정된 평가를 극복할 수 있으며, 또한 마이어가 바우하우스 건축 교육을 통해 거둔 성과를 구체적으로 재평가 할 수 있었다. This paper aims at understanding the Characterics of Architectural Education Methodology in Hannes Meyer's Bauhaus. Through the analysis of his Bauhaus curriculums, writings and works, especially co-op designs and buildings, this paper investgates the problems caused by functionality, diagramic organization of modern life and sociality, and grasps the meaning of his works. Meyer realized the possibility of Bauhaus education system resulting from mechanical and technological progress, and pursuited the architecture for the proletarian masses. According to analysis, functionality and critical sociality were adopted to criticize bourgeosie humanistic architecture, it reveals Hannes Meyer's architectural Avant-garde strategy.

The Purpose of this study was to define the concept of transparency in anti-aesthetic functionalistic architecture with researching transparencies in modern architecture. In architecture transparency originated from a design method of cubism was classified to literal and phenomenal transparencies by C. Rowe and R. Slutzky in 1963. But there were some mistakes in this classification to understand the architectural concept. The styles of architecture in modern era, especially anti-aesthetic functionalistic architecture, was researched to correct the mistake and to re-define the meaning of transparency. As a result of this study the architectural concept of transparency was classified to four type, phenomenal, spacial, material and functional transparencies.
