Soil and water contamination caused by the abundant use of agricultural chemicals including herbicides and fertilizers draws public concerns since these chemicals may pollute the agricultural lands as well as the food products grown on these lands. As a method to reduce the use of agricultural chemicals mulching with thin plastic film has been commonly practised for many years. Although use of the plastic film for mulching is very effective in preventing the growth of weed, it is almost impossible to remove all of the plastic film from the agricultural land and the remaining film eventually contaminates the soils. Therefore, it is very imperative to develop a mulching material that decomposes completely to prevent soil pollution problems and to enhance the competitive edge of domestic agriculture. Mulch papers are believed to have many positive characteristics in preventing problems caused by the plastic mulch film since it decomposes completely after use. However, the basis weight of mulch papers needs to be reduced to improve its handling properties and to reduce the raw material costs of pulps. In this paper the possibilities of using domestic old corrugated containers in producing mulch papers were examined. Also use of unbleached softwood kraft pulps and dry strength additives were exploited along with two-layered sheet forming technology in decreasing the basis weight of the mulch paper. Results showed that reduction of 20g/$m^2$ of basis weight of mulch paper was possible by the appropriate raw material selection and application of strength resin. To use the mulch papers in paddy fields, however, further research to improve its durability should be pursued.
고유수용성 감각촉진을 통한 자세운동요법이 균형수행능력에 미치는 영향

This study is to investigate the changes of balance-performing ability as postural exercise by promoting the proprioceptive sense. The balance-performing ability tests were done to 12 male and 8 female university students. The tests consisted of standing on one leg, standing on one leg with closed eyes, 45° slant standing m one leg, 45° slant standing on one leg with closed eyes, throwing a ball with standing on one leg position, and throwing a ball with 45° slant standing on one leg position. Each test was performed on right and on left leg in turn. Results of the study were as the following: 1. The result of 'standing on one leg' tests, the average differences between before and after the postural therapy showed statistical significances. Tests on standing on one leg with closed eyes also showed statistical significances. 2. Tests on 45° slant standing on one leg showed statistical significances. In case of 45° slant standing on one leg with closed eyes, the average differences were 2.75 sec in right leg standing and 1.90 sec in left leg standing. 3. Tests on throwing a ball in standing on one leg position showed statistical significant differences between before and after the postural therapy. Tests on throwing a ball in 45° slant standing with one leg position showed statistical significant differences. The above results indicate that the proprioceptor postural therapy promotes the balance-performing ability. To increase the balance-performing ability, more exercise programs should be designed and the programs will be an effective way for body-balance improvement.
주관적 평가를 사용한 양안식 영상의 색상 불일치 평가 방법

본 논문에서는 시청자의 색상 특성을 고려하여 양안식 영상에서의 색상 불일치를 예측하는 방법을 제안했다. 먼저 색상 불일치 예측을 위한 주관적 평가로 색상 민감도 평가를 수행했다. 기본 세 채널 색 R, G, B에 대해 각각의 색상의 오차 범위를 결정한 후, 이를 기반으로 관심도와 복잡도를 평가하여 보다 세밀한 주관적 평가를 수행했다. 실험 결과를 통해 제안한 방법이 기존의 색상의 품질을 평가하기 위해 사용하는 유클리디안 색 거리 계산 방법과 US & Canadian Government Printing Offices의 품질 수준 규격(Qulaity Level Specifications)을 이용한 방법보다 효율적으로 색상 불일치 여부를 평가함을 확인했다.
