In this paper, the hybrid illumination system for effectively detecting surface defects in steel plate with low-contrast, non-uniformity and featureless is designed based on illuminance uniformity. First of all, characteristics of steel plate defects were considered and typical inspection illumination system is implemented. Optimum illumination parameters for uniformly illuminating an inspection area in the typical illumination system are selected based on the illuminance uniformity and illuminance distribution measurement. The illuminance uniformity and illuminance distribution are measured using an illuminometer based on the arduino. Through illuminance distribution analysis of the typical illumination, an hybrid illumination is designed by fusing bi-directional illumination and coaxial illumination. The hybrid illumination showed higher uniformity ratio and illuminance distribution than the typical illuminations. The hybrid illumination system showed the ability to uniformly illuminate the entire inspection region of steel plate surface.

In this paper, a fused illumination mechanism for detecting surface defects in steel plates was designed by applying the discriminant function that can differentiate the contrast of defects and non-defects. There is low contrast, non-uniformity, and no feature characteristics in steel plate surfaces. The fused illumination mechanism is devised, based on those characteristics. Optimum parameters of the fused illumination mechanism are determined by applying the discriminant function after acquiring the defect image in steel plate surfaces. The performance of the proposed mechanism is verified by experminets.

In this paper, surface defects and typical illumination mechanisms for steel plates are analyzed, and then optimum illumination mechanism is selected using discrete wavelet transform(DWT) synthetic images and discriminant measure(DM). The DWT synthetic images are generated using component images decomposed by Haar wavelet transform filter. The best synthetic image according to surface defects is determined using signal to noise ratio(SNR). The optimum illumination mechanism is selected by applying discriminant measure(DM) to the best synthetic images. The DM is applied using the tenengrad-euclidian function. The DM is evaluated as the degree of contrast using the defect boundary information. The performance of the optimum illumination mechanism is verified by quantitative data and intuitive image looks.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare the differences in oral health-related quality of life among elderly people aged over 65 years, in terms of physical, mental and oral health status and to analyze factors affecting their oral health-related quality of life. Methods: From May 9 to June 23, 2017, we randomly visited aged-care community centers in the metropolitan area, and recruited 222 elderly, aged 65 or older. First, each participant completed a questionnaire consisting of 4 general items: 1 systematic disease, and 3 subjective oral conditions. Afterwards, the researchers interviewed the participants to assess their mental status, using MMSE-DS and recorded the responses. Finally, an oral examination was performed to determine the number of remaining teeth. The average oral health-related quality of life according to each characteristic was analyzed by t-test and ANOVA. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis and Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis were used to analyze the correlations between factors and the factors affecting oral health-related quality of life. Results: The mean oral health-related quality of life was 4.15. Participants with 20 or more remaining teeth demonstrated better oral health-related quality of life than those with 19 or less teeth. Higher oral health-related quality of life was also found among elderly without gingival bleeding, self-reported halitosis and dry mouth. In addition, positive correlation with the number of remaining teeth and negative correlation with gingival bleeding, self-reported halitosis and dry mouth, were noted. Finally, the results of the hierarchical multiple regression analysis indicated that remaining teeth, gingival bleeding, self-reported halitosis and education were influential factors in determining the oral health-related quality of life among the elderly. Conclusions: The results of this study confirmed the necessity of better policy support, and the importance of implementing delivered, elderly-centered oral health education program by professionals to prevent tooth loss and manage periodontal diseases.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to analyze the qualities and problems to be solved to strengthen the vocational competency of dental hygienists and to identify the work to be institutionally established. Methods: From April 1 to May 30, 2019, a total of 325 people participated (152 registered dental hygienists: RDH , 173 students of dental hygiene: SDH) in this study. The survey items were as follows: “job awareness” (6 items), “problem to be solved to strengthen vocational competency” (5 items), “qualities to be equipped to strengthen”competency" (9 items), and “practical work to be institutionally established” (4 items). Results: RDH and SDH had the highest perception of professionalism (3.68, 3.99 points), and low remuneration against work (4.21, 4.18 points) was perceived as the most important problem to be solved. The qualities for competency reinforcement showed the highest results in expertise knowledge (4.68, 4.64 points) and vocation for job (3.76, 4.09 points). Practical work to be established institutionally appeared as follows: X-ray film reading, dental hygiene diagnosis, periodontal pocket measurement, and periodontal pockets (<6 mm) treatment. Conclusions: This study is expected to be actively used to strengthen the vocational competency among dental hygienists, construct work autonomy, and rationalize and legalize practical work.

정인보는 시대적 상황을 타결하기 위한 대응으로 양명학을 받아들여 자기 수양으로서의 학문적 성향을 배제하고 민중의 복리를 도모하게 하는 실질적 행동철학으로 발전시켰다. 그는 남을 애틋하게 여기는 마음이 바로 양지(良知)의 발현이고, 양지가 곧 감통(感通)이라며 이를 `도덕적 인식`, 그리고 `만물일체(萬物一體)의 근거`로 파악하여 감통을 통해서 양지의 실현을 이루어야 한다고 주장하였다. 양명학의 주요 이론인 친민설(親民說)과 만물일체설(萬物一體說)을 `본심감통`의 이론으로 환원하여 감통의 단계가 친민(親民)이며, 친민이 곧 `만물일체설의 도(道)`임을 설명함으로써 타인과 내가 하나 되는 생명원리를 적용하려 하였다. 민중과 함께 어려운 시기를 극복하고자 했던 그는 실천 철학으로서의 감통을 인류, 생태 만물 공동체의 윤리로 확장시켜 인간과 자연이 공존하는데 지침이 되는 새로운 개념으로 삼았다. Jeong In-bo developed the doctrine of Wang yang-ming not as a mean for self-discipline but as a code of behavior for the people to promote their wellbeing on the one hand, and as a countermeasure to break through the turbulent age where he himself faced on the other. He argued that `affecting for others` is the very starting point of the moral substance and intuition, and then interpret it as a `moral recognition` and/or a foundation that all things is one body, from which every human beings have to accomplish it through emotional interaction. He diverted the `loving the people` and `all things-is-one-body` that is a core of Wang yang-ming as a base theory which means that original mind is acted upon and penetrating things, and then applied the life-principle into all people. He took the concept as a practical guideline for all humankind to overcome the difficulties and to live together with ecological environment.
