Global warming due to the increase of greenhouse gases may significantly affect various aspects of the Earth’s environment and human life. In particular, the impacts of climate change on agriculture would be severe, leading to damages to crop yields. This paper examines the experimental prediction of rice yield in China using DNN (deep neural network) and climate model data for the period between 1979 and 2009. The DNN model built through the process of hyperparameter optimization can mitigate an overfitting problem and cope with outlier cases. Our model showed approximately 38.7% improved accuracy than the MLR (multiple linear regression) model, in terms of correlation coefficient with the yield statistics. We found that the diurnal temperature range and potential evapotranspiration were the critical factors for rice yield prediction. Our DNN model was also robust to extreme conditions such as drought in 2006 and 2007 in China, which showed its applicability to the future simulation of crop yields under climate change.
여고생의 신체 만족도와 브래지어 착용 행동 및 심리적 안녕감의 관계

Body satisfaction and psychological well-being of adolescents affect their school life. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among body satisfaction, brassiere wearing behavior, and psychological well-being of female high school students for development of functional brassiere for adolescent girls. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 238 high school girls in Gyeongnam province, and the relationships were analyzed. Body satisfaction was the highest at the waist satisfaction, and breast satisfaction was the highest at the breast drooping level. Small breast size was the biggest concerns among the breast related problems. The most important function of a brassiere was to prevent the breast from swinging when moving, and the greatest effect of wearing a brassiere was to prevent nipple show-through. The common discomforts from wearing a brassiere were sweat under the brassiere and slipping off shoulder straps. The higher the breast satisfaction, the more beautiful the chest line, the better the body balance and silhouette of the outer clothing in the wearing effects of brassiere. Body satisfaction and breast satisfaction were positively correlated with all factors of psychological well-being, especially with self-esteem. Among the effects of wearing brassieres, the improvement effect of body appearance showed positive correlations with all factors of psychological wellbeing. In order to improve the psychological well-being of the adolescent through wearing a brassiere, it is important to determine the position and orientation of the shoulder straps, and the material of the brassiere. In addition, it is ideal to design a brassiere with the structure and shape that can prevent the nipple exposure and the swinging of the breast and enhance the appearance improving effect. The results could be used as basic data for the development of brassiere with higher functionality to improve body satisfaction and psychological well-being of adolescent girls. 청소년의 신체 만족도와 심리적 안녕감은 학교생활에 영향을 미친다. 본 연구의 목적은 청소년용의 기능성 브래지어 개발을 위해 여고생의 신체 만족도와 브래지어 착용 행동 및 심리적 안녕감의 관계를 조사하는 것이다. 경남 지역의 여고생 238명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하여 이들의 관계를 검토하였다. 신체만족도는 허리 만족도가 가장 높았으며, 유방 만족도는 유방의 처짐 정도가 가장 높았다. 유방에 대한 고민은 가슴 볼륨이 빈약하다가 가장 많았다. 브래지어의 중요한 기능으로 움직일 때 유방의 흔들림을 막는것이 가장 높았고, 브래지어 착용 효과로는 유두가 겉으로 드러나지 않음이 가장 컸다. 브래지어 착용 시불편함은 땀이 찬다, 어깨 끈이 흘러내린다가 많았다. 유방 만족도가 높을수록 브래지어 착용 효과에서 가슴 선이 아름다워지고, 몸의 균형이 잡히고, 겉옷의실루엣이 아름다워지는 효과가 컸다. 신체 만족도와유방 만족도는 심리적 안녕감의 모든 요인과 양의 상관을 보였으며, 특히 자존감과 높은 상관을 보였다. 브래지어 착용 효과 중 외관 보정 효과는 심리적 안녕감의 모든 요인과 양의 상관을 보였다. 청소년이 브래지어 착용을 통해 심리적 안녕감을 높이기 위해서는 브래지어의 어깨 끈의 위치와 방향 설정 및 소재선정에 주의해야 한다. 또한 유두의 드러남과 유방의흔들림을 방지하고 외관 보정 효과를 높일 수 있는구조와 형태로 제작하는 것이 바람직하다. 본 연구 결과는 여자 청소년의 신체 만족도와 심리적 안녕감을 높일 수 있는 고기능성 브래지어 개발의 기초 자료로활용할 수 있을 것이다.

It is usually recognized that the life-times of test items may not be registered exactly. Maximum product spacings (MPS) method is most suitable method, especially to those cases where one of the parameter have an unknown shifted origin. In this paper, we consider the maximum product spacings estimators (MPSE) of the shape and scale parameters and reliability function when the samples are progressive censored (PC) samples. However, maximum product spacings estimators cannot be derived in a closed form. So, we consider the approximate maximum product spacings estimators of the shape and scale parameters and reliability function when the samples are progressive censored samples. The proposed estimators are compared by performing the Monte Carlo (MC) simulation is presented. For estimating the parameters and reliability, the choice approximate maximum product spacings estimators seem to be a reasonable choice. Also, real data set based on progressive censoring scheme have been also analyzed.
