The motions and drift forces of side-by-side moored FSRU and LNGC including the sloshing effect, were studied using experiments. The FSRU and LNGC contained LNG cargo tanks and the LNG sloshing could effect the motions and drift forces of the structures due to its coupling with floating body motion. The effect of coupling can vary with the LNG filling level, and the effect of the filling level was investigated. The coupling effect was stronger at lower filling level. It was confirmed that longitudinal sloshing influenced the surge and surge mean drift force in head sea. In addition, gap flow affected the sway and mean drift forces. Sloshing attenuated the sway and yaw excited by gap flow in side-by-side configuration.
자유수면 해석을 위한 포텐셜기법과 점성 CFD기법을 결합한 하이브리드 기법 개발 연구

파랑에 의해 해양구조물에 작용하는 유체력을 수치적으로 해석하기 위해 포텔셜 해석법과 점성 CFD기법을 결합한 하이브리드 기법을 연구하였다. 점성 효과가 지배적이고 쇄파와 같은 복잡한 유동이 발생하는 영역은 점성 CFD기법으로 해석하고 나머지 영역은 포텐셜 해석법을 적용하였다. 하이브리드 기법의 개발을 위해 파 전파 문제에 대하여 경계조건에 대한 검증을 수행하였다. 집중파에 대한 수치 해석을 통하여 접합조건의 영향을 살펴보았다. In this paper, the hybrid method of potential and viscous CFD method is investigated to study the focusing wave propagation and boundary condition. The 3 dimensional viscous CFD technique is used and VOF used for free surface flow. The solutions of potential are used for boundary condition of CFD at each time step. The effect of domain is also tested. From the focusing wave analysis, the possibility of CFD technique is studied for hybrid method.

A series of forced oscillation tests on a model mooring chain was carried out to investigate dynamic tension characteristics. The model test was conducted at two different water depths to gather basic data for a 'truncated mooring test' and 'hybrid mooring test'. The truncated and hybrid mooring tests are important for overcoming the limitation of water depth that existed in previous model tests. The resultant tension RAO provides a good possibility of approximation of dynamic tension by equivalent weight adjustment for different water depths. Because the hybrid mooring test is an adequate combination of model test and simulation, an accurate simulation model for the mooring system is essential. The simulation results show good agreement with model test results.

Statement of Problem : The accuracy and dimensional stability of elastomeric impression materials have been the subject of numerous investigation. Few studies have addressed the effect of changes in time on the dimensional stability of impression materials. Purpose: The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the effects of elastomeric impression materials and storage time on dimensional stability. Materials and methods: A total of 75 impressions were made of epoxy resin dies mimicked prepared 3-unit fixed partial denture. The dies had 1 buccolingual, 1 mesiodistal and 1 occlusogingival lines and interpreped dot. Impression materials investigated included two polyether impression materials and three polyvinylsiloxane impression material. 15 specimens were made of each impression material and poured by type IV stone over times (30 minutes, 24 hours, 72 hours) after mixing; the same examiner measured each specimen 3 times at a magnification of 3.5$\times$. All statistical tests were performed with the level of significance set at .05. Results : The results indicated that significant difference at any measuring point of stone dies of the polyether impression materials and when measurements at 30 minutes, 24 hours, and 72 hours were compared ; the length of measuring point increased significantly as time passed by. However this result is not significant clinically. Analysis also showed significant differences at any measuring point when polyvinylsiloxane and polyether impression materials were compared and significant differences clinically. Conclusion: Under the conditions of this study, the shrinkage rate of the polyvinylsiloxane and polyether impression materials significantly increased as time passed by. The polyether impression materials showed higher shrinkage significantly, while the shrinkage rate of all five materials showed a significant time-dependent increase.
터렛 계류된 FPSO의 운동응답 및 계류선 손상 시 거동 특성에 대한 실험적 연구

FPSO model tests of mooring line failure were carried out in the ocean basin at KRISO. The characteristics of the motions and mooring lines were investigated. The FPSO ship was moored using an internal turret and catenary mooring. The test model was 1/60 scale. The mooring lines were designed to satisfy the characteristics of the original mooring lines using the truncation method. The experiments were conducted under various environments: a safe wave, current and wind condition; single broken mooring line condition; and transient mode condition. The moment of the break was determined based on experimental test results. The results showed that the FPSO behavior and mooring line tensions were acceptable under the failure condition.
