통영연안 해역의 양식 참굴(Crassostrea gigas)의 중금속 농축에 관한 연구

In order to investigate contamination of heavy metal in seawater and cultured oyster, samples were collected November 2003 to July 2004 from 12 sites (13 sites for seawater) along the coast of Tongyeong, Korea. The mean concentrations of metal in oyster tissues were as follows: 0.09 (0.01-0.3) μg/l for Cd, 0.47 (0.01-1.4) μg/l for Cr, 0.59 (0.2-2.3) μg/l for Ni, 1.02 (0.1-4.2) μg/l for Pb and 0.48 (0.01-3.9) μg/l for Hg in the seawater, whereas 2.45 (0-5.47) mg/kgDW for Cd, 3.63 (0.10-12.91) mg/kgDW for Cr, 3.2 (0.01-15.73) mg/kgDW for Ni, 3.51 (0.01-6.47) mg/kgDW for Pb and 0.39 (0.004-0.74) mg/kgDW for Hg, respectively. Most metal concentration values were below the permissible range for the related regulations. Mean bioconcentration factors (BCF) for each metal were as follows: 38,964 (1,771-207, 171) for Cd, 9,583 (1,231-80, 162) for Cr, 191 (3-20, 980) for Ni, 1,416 (245-5, 207) for Pb and 180 (5-716) for Hg, respectively. The BCF values from this study corresponded to the transitional phase from the pristine to the contaminated waters. Notably, Cd showed the highest BCF, which suggest that the Pacific oyster could be utilized as a useful biomarker for Cd contamination in sea water. The multidimensional scaling analysis suggested that the metal contaminants are mainly originated from combustion of fossil fuel and accumulated to oyster through food web.

In order to estimate the ecological parameters of the population, the shortnecked clams Ruditapes philippinarum are collected from the Jindu coast of Hansan Island, from April to December in 2005. The growth of the clam was estimated by von Bertalanffy growth model and each parameters were obtained from a nonlinear regression as = 48.8 mm, = 0.28 and = -0.88 (r2 = 0.994). instantaneous coefficient of total mortality (Z) and fishing mortality (F) was calculated as 0.8614/yr. and 0.6122/yr. respectively. The age at first capture was estimated to be 2.88 year. Using the present parameter for clam fishing, the yield-per recruit (Y/R) was estimated to be 3.44 g. Although the maximum Y/R obtained under the parameters ( = 3.48 yr. and = 0.9295/yr), it is favorable to maintain the current fishing effort considering the annual fluctuation of the parameters. 양식생물의 최적생산을 위해서는 적극적 관리 외에도 환경개선과 지속적으로 최대생산을 위하여 수산자원학적 관리방안도 함께 강구되어야 한다. 따라서 양식장의 생산성 향상을 위하여 어느 시기에 어느 정도의 사이즈의 생물을 선택적으로 채취하여야 할 것인가는 양식생산 측면에서 아주 중요한 문제가 될 수 있다. 이를 위하여 통영시 한산면 진두연안의 바지락양식장의 양성중인 바지락자원의 자원학적 특성치로부터 가입당 생산량 모델을 구현하였고, 이 모델을 통해 현재의 양식생물 이용현황을 파악하고자 하였다. 현재의 어업형태에 따른 와 F를 적용하면, 가입당 생산량은 3.46 g에 해당하였지만, 의 경우 3.48세까지, F의 경우 0.9295/yr까지 증가시키면 약 5% (3.63 g) 의 생산증대효과를 볼 수 있는 것으로 예상되었다. 그러나 채취시기를 연장함에 따른 사육소요기간의 장기화 및 자연사망계수의 변동 가능성을 고려한다면 현재의 어업행위가 가장 적합한 것으로 판단된다.

완도 조간대해역에서 굴 (Crassostrea gigas) 의 배수체별 성장 특성

In order to investigate the growth performance, triploid and diploid Pacific oysters, Crassostrea gigas, were introduced into the rack oyster farm on the tidal flat in Wando waters, Korea. No significant differences were observed in monthly growth performance but in total weight in August, 2017 with significant higher in triploid. Whereas a relatively higher specific growth rate was observed in triploid for shell height and total weight as much as 76% and 56% than diploid. This could be attributed to feeding behavior which digestive gland atrophy was much higher in triploid throughout the experiment period except August, 2017. The growth differences were also attributed to a difference of reproductive behavior that triploid, mostly male sex, can easily recover the loss of energy after spawning. No significant difference was observed in proximate composition and hydrolyzed amino acid composition, but more delicate studies required for tasty compound. A hardened triploid spat could be a good approach to introduce a tidal flat rack oyster culture in Wando, being avoid the unnecessary social confliction for fouling contamination for abalone culture in Wando, Korea.
