A propellant mainly consisting of nitric ester including nitrocellulose, nitroglycerine and nitroguanidine is characteristic of being decomposed naturally. And this phenomenon is known as being affected mostly by its storing temperature. In this research, the effect of storing temperature on self life has been studied by measuring the contained quantity of residual stabilizer of propellant KM30A1, ignition powder and combustible cartridge case, which are parts of 155MM propelling charge K676 and K677; the method for the measurement is acceleration aging test, and decomposition reaction equation and Berthlot Equation were used for the calculation. The result of this research shows that propellant KM30A1, ignition powder, combustible cartridge case in order of decreasing self life, and the self life decreases to 1/3 as the temperature increases by $10^{\circ}C$.

A two degree-of-freedom mathematical model is presented to investigate the friction mechanism of a disc brake system. A contact parameter is introduced to describe the coupling between the in-plane and the out-of-plane motions. In order to describe the relationship between the in-plane motion and the out-of plane motion, the contact friction coefficient is considered as a function of both relative velocity and normal force. The out-of-plane motion is then investigated by numerical analysis for various parametric conditions. The results of numerical analysis show the existence of limit cycle of an out-of-plane motion caused by the effect of intermittent contact stiffness. Also Frequency analysis shows that the motion due to the contact nonlinearity produces frequency unification and frequency modulation.
외상성 흉요추 및 요추부 골절에 시행한 후측방 척추 고정술 27례에 대한 임상적 고찰

Twenty seven patients with a traumatic thoracolumbar and lumbar spine fractures were treated with the various kinds of pedicle screw and the autogenous bone graft through posterolateral approach during recent 2 years, from January 1993 to December 1994. The 23 mans and 4 women (range 16 to 67 years), all presented with back pain. Symptoms and signs of neural compression were noted in 18 cases. Types of fracture classified by Dennis's method, 8 compression, 15 burst, 2 fracture and dislocation, 2 seat belt types. Patients in the spinal instability or neural injury, the operative treatment was done. Operation consisted of neural decompression, transpedicular fixation using the various pedicle screws (Diapason 16 cases, Cortrel-Dubousset(C-D) 5cases, Wiltse 6 cases) and the autogenous bone grafting. In the radiologic findings, the average angular deformities checked average 18.67 degree preoperatively, average 13 degree immediate postoperatively average 17.5 degree follow up period. The average wedge deformities checked average 49.8% preoperatively, average 35.43% immediate postoperatively, average 34.84% follow up period. The 81% fusion rate was obtained with a mean follow-up period of 14 months (5 months to 29 months). Overall outcome by Gill's criteria showed 12 patients (44.4%) excellent, 10 patients (37.1%) good, 2 patients (7.4%) fair, 3 patients (11.1%) poor. There were no operative deaths. Operative complications included two wound infections (one deep, one superficial), four urinary tract infections, two meralgia paresthetica, one pressure sore. There were no instrument failure during follow-up period. This technique provides an effective method to obtain arthrodesis in the patients of a traumatic thoracolumbar and lumbar spinal fracture with preservation of curvature adjacent normal motion segments.
