Measurements of surface resistance ($R_s$) of high temperature superconductor (HTS) films with accuracy are essential for microwave applications of HTS materials. In using the dielectric resonator method, uncertainties in the unloaded quality factor of the resonator cause significant errors in the measured $R_s$ of HTS films. We compare the Rs values of $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-{\delta}}$ films calculated from the $Q_0$ as determined from the Lorentzian fit with that from the $Q_0$ as determined from the S-parameter circle-fit at temperatures between 15 K and 77 K. The two sets of values appeared to differ by 5%, 7%, 6%, and 11% at temperatures of 15, 60, 70, and 77 K, respectively, from each other, implying that careful error analysis needs to be performed in obtaining the $R_s$ of HTS films by using the Lorentzian-fit method, with the ones determined from the S-parameter circle-fit used as the reference.

Demand for in vitro pharmacological evaluation and toxicity test using human hepatocytes has been increasing. In USA and Europe, human hepatocytes obtained from donated whole liver unsuitable for transplantation were distributed to researchers and deposited in cell bank facility as cryopreserved vial. In Korea, however, incidence of transplantation-inappropriate whole liver has been quite low and the whole livers almost have so severe liver disease such as fatty or fibrotic liver that cannot meet the demand. In this study we aimed to isolate human hepatocytes from liver resection surgery-originated partial liver, and assure the isolated human hepatocytes and its cryopreserved hepatocytes to be qualified for the in vitro pharmacological evaluation and drug toxicity tests. We compared those with commercially available human hepatocyte, BD GenTest<SUP>TM</SUP> by cell morphology, hepatic gene expression, urea synthesis, albumin secretion, ammonia removal, and cytochrome P450 induction activities. Changes in hepatotoxic gene expression after cryopreservation are evaluated with a typical hepatotoxic drug, acetaminophen. Consequently, the fresh hepatocytes from the partial liver and its cryopreserved hepatocytes expressed their intrinsic hepatic functions well and showed equal hepatotoxicity gene expression trend regardless to cryopreservation. Therefore, liver resection surgery-originated partial liver can be used as a useful source of human hepatocytes for various pharmacological and hepatotoxicity test.
비즈니스 규칙을 활용한 주문 처리 시스템 개발 및 구현

최근 기업 환경의 변화는 기업으로 하여금 민첩성 확보를 통해 실시간 기업을 실현하기를 요구하고 있다. 이러한 추세에 따라 기업 내외부의 변화요소에 민첩하게 반응하기 위한 대안으로 비즈니스 규칙을 활용한 시스템 개발에 대한 논의가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 특히 주문 처리 시스템과 같이 실시간으로 발생되는 고객의 주문에 능동적으로 대응하기 위해서는 축적된 지식기반으로부터 주어진 주문상황에 가장 적절한 정책을 실시간으로 도출 및 추론함으로써 주문들의 우선순위를 결정하는 것이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 주문 처리에 있어서 중요한 정책들인 가격정책, 구매유도정책, 주문확정정책 및 이들 정책들의 조합을 통한 주문 우선순위 결정정책을 비즈니스 규칙을 활용하여 정의 및 구현하고, 관련 시스템 개발을 위한 아키텍처와 비즈니스 모델을 설계하고자 한다. 제안된 시스템은 현재 국내 중견기업인 S사가 사용 중인 ASTERIA 비즈니스 규칙 엔진의 Prototype으로 사용되었다. In recent year, the changing business environment requires that firms pursue a real time enterprise (RTE) through their agilities. In line with this trend, a business rule engine (BRE) has been developed to improve responsiveness on both the customer demand and the quick change of business models. The BRE is running on the business knowhow of the management, experts` knowledge, and firm`s business logic. In the BRE, various rules with a form of IF~THEN are stored on a knowledge based mode. The BRE generates the best business policy considering the current business situation to help the management cope with the business troubles faced. Thus, it is said that the BRE plays a core role for the intelligent management in the firm by supporting a real-time decision making. In this paper, we newly propose an intelligent order processing system (IOPS) based on the BRE in order to generate various business policies quickly when the firm needs to respond its customers on the real-time basis. We first define the IOPS, and then present its system architecture and business model. Secondly, the knowledge- base for the IOPS is explained. Finally, the business rules for each knowledge-base in the IOPS are also proposed.
