Heat-moisture exchanger (HME) is an inexpensive and effective device used to prevent respiratory complications that can be caused by endotracheal tube insertion during general anesthesia. But, HME can increase airway resistance and be occluded by the patient`s secretions. Whether a HME could be occluded by clear fluids such as condensate in the airway circuit is not certain yet. In vitro, a case of HME occlusion by normal saline was reported. We report a case of HME obstruction by distilled water came from the heated wire circuit which was unintentionally connected to the HME. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2009;57:358∼60)

家庭環境特性과 進路成熟과의 關係 硏究

1. Purpose of the Study The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the home environmental traits and career maturity and to find the differences of the home environmental traits which predict the level of career maturity. And it is also to clarity the relationship between the career maturity and scholastic achievement. 2. Hypothesis The review of related literature was used to analyze the fact related to this study. Four hypothesis were formulated on the basis of literature to excute for this study. 1) There will be significant positive(group character of home, psychological process) and negative(the point of value) correlation between the home environmental traits and career maturity. 2) The sequence of home environmental traits which contribute to predict the level of career maturity is the psychological process of home preferently. Secondly the sequence is the group character and the last sequence is the point of value. 3) The correlation between the home environmental traits and career maturity of female student, senior student and an order of decent in the humanities will be higher than male student, junior student and industrial site. 4) There will be significant positive correlation between the career maturity and level of scholastic achievement. And there will be difference to that relation by calculating the way of variables. 3. Method of the study. The method of this study was employed random sample of 451 students in the elementary and secondary school to testify the hypothesis by variables. The instrument of measure was used by the Home Environment Diagnosis Inventory of Chung Won - Sik, the Career Maturity Inventory of Crites and the level of Scholastic Achievement. Collecting data was prepared by the individual card and drawn the Pearson's correlation coefficient, Multiple repression, path analysis and t-test to testify the hypothesis. 4. Conclusion of the study The result obtained by the testing papers were summarized as following ; 1) There is significant positive(group character of home, psychological process) and negative(the point of value) correlation between the home environmental traits and career maturity. 2) The sequence of home environmetal trails which contribute to predict the level of career maturity is the intimacy of family. Secondly tht sequence is the combination of home and the last sequence is the liberal condition of home. 3) The correlation between the home environmental traits and career maturity of female student, senior student and an order of decent in the humanities is higher than male student, junior student and industrial site. 4) There is significant positive correlation between the career maturity and level of scholastic achievement.

1. Purpose of the study The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the achievement motivation and career consciousness, the self - esteem and career consciousness and to find the differences of the achievement motivation and self - esteem which predict the level of career consciousness. And it is also to clarity the differences of the level of career consciousness by calculating the way of sex, an order of decent and middle and high school. 2. Hypothesis The review of related literature was used to analyze the fact related to this study. Eight hypothesis were formulated on the basis of literature to excute for this study. 1) There will be significant positive correlation between the achievement motivation and career consciousness. 2) There will be high In the career consciousness if the achievement motivation is high. 3) There will be significant positive correlation between the self - esteem and careers consiousness. 4) There will be high In the career consciousness if the self - esteem is high. 5) The self - esteem will contribute to predict the level of career consciousness better than achievement motivation. 6) The level of career consciousness of female student will be higher than male student. 7) The level of career consciousness an order of decent in the humanities will be higher than industrial site. 8) The level of career consiciousness of high school student will be higher than middle secondary student. 3. Method of study The method of this study was employed random sample of 350 students in the secondary school to testify the hypothesis by variables. The instrument of measure was used by the Pretatie Motivatie Test of Herman, the Self-Esteem Inventory of Coopersmith and Career Consciousness Test of Crites. Collecting data was prepared by the individual card and drawn the Pearson's correlation coefficient, Multiple regression and t - test to testify the hypothesis. 4. Conculusion of the study The result obtained by the testing papers were summarized as following. 1) There is significant positive correlation between the achievement motivation and career consciousness. 2) The more the level of achievement motivation is high, the better career consciousness is high. 3) There is significant positive correlation between the self - esteem and career consciousness 4) The more the level of self - esteem is high, the better career consciousness is high. 5) The self - esteem is to contribute to predict the level of career consciousness better than achievement motivation. 6) The level of career consciousness of female student is higher than mille student. 7) The level of career consciousness of humanities is higher than industrial site. 8) The level of career consciousness of the high school students is higher than middle school students.

젠더연구(gender studies)의 교육과정화에 대한 연구

이 연구는 최근 등장하고 있는 남성학과 여성학의 통합적 접근을 통하여, 젠더연구의 교육과정화를 시도함이 그 목적이다. 이를 위하여 먼저 젠더(gender)와 젠더연구의 개념과 내용을 살펴보았는데, 젠더는 사회 문화적 성을 의미하면서 남녀의 차별이 아닌 평둥함을 목표로 한다. 그리고 여성에 대한 여성학과 남성에 대한 남성학이라는 기존의 역사와 내용을 인간학 차원에서 통합하여 접근함을 젠더연구라 규정하고, 이에 대한 교육과정 (curriculum)을 종합적으로 전개하였다. 남성의 자기 구제와 구원이 목적인 남성학의 등장은 여성학의 위축을 야기할 수도 있다. 그러나 남성에 대한 연구가 제대로 이루어져 남성 문제 해결이 여성문제를 동시에 해결시켜 준다면, 이는 우려할 바가 아닌 상생의 시너지 효과를 발휘하는 것이다. 따라서 이제는 여성학도 남성학에 관심을 기울여 남성학과 여성학이 젠더연구로서 남녀 문제를 넘어선 인간문제 전체에 대한 해결이라는 공동의 목표를 향해 나아갈 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다. The objective of this study is to make a curriculum for Gender studies through integrated approach between Men's and Women's studies. For this analysis, I looked at the conception and contents of the gender study. Gender means the social-cultured sex of equality and not sex discrimination. The Men's studies of self-relief could cause women's studies to wither, however if men's studies were looked at more considerably to resolve both men and women problems, it would have manifest synergy effect. Therefore at the present time, women's studies should be researched with concerns to men's studies to conquer the problems of men and women discrimination by overcoming human problems through gender study.
