        운동생리학 : 운동이 제 Ⅱ형 당뇨환자의 혈당, 호흡가스, 심박수 변동성에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of physical exercise on blood glucose, respiratory gas and heart rate variability during rest state and walking exercise in patients with type II diabetes mellitus.Total forty four patients were divided into two groups acording to whether they had performed physical exercise regulary at least over than 3 days per week; Exercise group (EG, n=22) and None-Exercise Group(NEG, n=22). Each patient took a rest in a sitting position for three minutes prior to treadmill walk and then walked on treadmill for 26 minutes. Blood glucose, lactate, and respiratory gas were measured before and immediately after the exercise. A power spectral analysis was conducted on the heart rates obtained from each subject’s rest and exercise states.In both groups, the blood glucose level decreased significantly after exercise in both groups (P<0.001). The mean values of TV, VO2, VCO2, and VE during exercise in EG group were significantly higher than those in NEG group(p<0.001).In EG group, the mean heart rate at rest was significantly lower than that in NEG group(p<0.05). The mean values of the low- and high-frequency power at rest in EG group were significantly higher than those in NEG group (p<0.05 and p<0.001, respectively).We found that the walking exercise improve the blood glucose level and aerobic capacity in patients with type II diabetes mellitus and increased the heart rate variability at rest measured by the power spectral analysis.

        성인 여성의 등척성 최대 근력을 이용한 1-RM 추정

        The purpose of this study was to estimate one-repetition maximum(1-RM) by isometric maximal strength in female adults. 50 female adults were performed isometric strength in seven weight training machines (leg extension; LE, leg curl; LC, chest press; CP, shoulder press; SP, abdominal curl; AC, arm curl; RC, latpull down; LD). Isometric muscular strength was determined tensiometer(model JNB-500L). After 48 hours later, 1-RM measurement were followed. The data analyzed correlation isometric muscular strength and 1-RM. also regression analysis used for development of regression equations to predict one repetition maximal strength. The result was shown that high correlation between isometric strength and 1-RM(r=.58~.80, p<.01), R2=.42~.67 had linear relation. Regression equations were LE(1-RM)=70.84+0.58×(MVC)+0.47×(Body Weight; BW), LC(1-RM)=26.89+ 0.35×(MVC), CP (1-RM)=0.59×(MVC)+0.45×(BW), SP(1-RM)=0.61×(MVC), AC(1-RM)=0.62×(MVC), RC(1-RM) =0.33×(MVC)+0.16×(BW), LD(1-RM)=0.33×(MVC)+0.49×(BW). In conclusion, the regression equations on this study may be predicted acceptable degree of accuracy to 1-RM of weight training machines and isometric test can provide a valid estimation of 1-RM performance in untrained female adults.

        다리 근력이 노인 여성의 유연성과 평형성 및 보행 특성에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to estimate Leg Strength and Flexibility, Balance, Gait by aging. In a population-based sample of female elderly aged 65-75(n = 152), leg strength was measured in two muscle groups (knee extensor, knee flexor) of both legs using an isokinetic dynamometer. A leg strength score was calculated as the sum of the four strength measurements in the both legs. Sit & reach, Balance(One leg with eyes opened and timed upandgo), gait were measured. Subjects were separated into four groups in the first, second, third, or fourth quartiles of using Leg strenrth score: Q1(n = 36), Q2(n = 40), Q3(n = 40), Q4(n = 36). All data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and Pearson Correlation of SPSS. In the whole subjects group, Leg strength score was increased and related to Sit& reach and One leg with eyes opened and timed up-and go(r=.40, .37, -.35) and significant correlation coefficients between Leg strenrth score and Cadence, Stance Time, Swing Time, Double Supp. Time, Velocity, Step Length, Stride Length, Step Extremity, HH Base Support(r = .44, -.21, -.45, -.33, .49, .27, .24, .47, .25). In the subgroup, Sit & reach, Balance and gait parameters were significantly differences between group. Sit & reach, Balance, gait parameters were significantly higher in the Q3, 4 group(p < .001). In conclusion, strength exercise of Leg muscle is effective on improvement Sit & reach, Balance and gait in the korean elderly women.

        자연과학편 : 규칙적인 운동이 2형 당뇨환자의 에너지 기질 이용에 미치는 영향

        2형 당뇨환자들을 대상으로 주 3회 이상의 규칙적인 운동을 하고 있는 운동군(50명)과 운동을 하지 않는 비운동군(50명)으로 구분하여 26분간의 걷기운동이 혈당과 에너지 기질 변화에 미치는 영향을 비교하고 분석한 결과, 혈당은 운동 전과 운동 후에 집단 간의 유의한 차이를 보였으며(p<.01, p<.05), 젖산은 집단 간의 유의차가 없었다. 산소섭취량은 운동시에 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<.001). 호흡 교환율은 운동시와 회복시에 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<.025, .001). 탄수화물 산화도 운동시와 회복시에 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<.001, .01). 지질 산화는 집단 간의 유의한 차이가 없었다. 에너지 소비량은 운동시와 회복시에 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<.001, .01). 탄수화물과 지질 이용률은 운동시와 회복시에 유의한 차이를 보였으며(p<.05, .05) 운동 전 혈당은 안정시 지질 산화와 정적인 상관관계(r=.29, P<.01)를 보였으며 안정시 당산화와는 음의 상관관계(r=-.27, P<.05)를 가지며 운동시 당산화와도 음의 상관관계(r=-.24, P<.05)를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 규칙적인 운동을 하는 2형 당뇨환자는 비운동군에 비해 혈당 수준이 감소되고 운동 중 탄수화물 산화가 우세해 지는 것으로 생각된다. Although substrate metabolism during exercise has been extensively investigated in healthy physically trained individual, less is known about patterns of substrate utilization during exercise in type II diabetes mellitus. The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of regular exercise on substrate utilization during walking exercise in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. 50 type 2 diabetic subjects who have performed physical exercise 3-5 times per week (EG) and 50 type 2 diabetic subjects who have not (NEG) were recruited. Each patient was at rest in a sitting position and then performed walking exercise of 26 minutes' duration. Blood glucose and lactate were measured before the exercise and immediately after the exercise. substrate oxidation was assessed by indirect calorimetry during the period of rest, exercise and recovery respectively. Blood glucose was significantly lower in the EG group(p<.05). Blood lactate was same in the EG and NEG group. The mean values of VO2, RER and Glucose oxidation during exercise were significantly higher in the EG group(p<.001, .05 and p<.001, respectively ). Lipid oxidation was same in the EG and NEG group.These data suggest that type 2 diabetes with regular exercise decrease in blood glucose level and shifts towards a predominance of carbohydrate oxidation during walking exercise higher than in NEG group.
