This study is on an upcycle technology for manufacturing gasket sheets using solid waste generated in the manufacturing process of natural leather. Regarding the manufacturing of rubber gasket sheets based on dry manufacturing technology, we studied the crosslinking characteristics and mechanical characteristics of shaving scrap and trimming scrap according to the types of natural leather waste, where the effect of the type of silica used as a reinforcing filler was investigated. As a result, research on industrial recycling items that reduce carbon usage and do not generate wastewater was conducted.

This study investigates the luminescence characteristics corresponding to the melting processing conditions of rPETand near-infrared inorganic luminescent pigments, aiming to develop rPET products capable of verifying the authenticityof recycled products. We examined the melting processing conditions of rPET and near-infrared inorganic luminescentpigments, the thickness of the composite film, and the luminescence characteristics in the near-infrared region accordingto the application of the dispersant. Our findings indicate the potential for developing rPET products that meetenvironmental regulations, promote carbon neutrality, and combat greenwashing.

This study is related to the manufacture of recycled outsoles, whose friction with the contact surface is improved through an amorphous pattern method, in which butyl rubber, which is entirely imported, is replaced with general rubber and leather solid waste. This study also investigated the change in the cross-linking properties and mechanical properties of the outsole according to the contents of the leather trimming waste. In addition, a mixture study of the general rubbers (NR and BR) was conducted to the enhance the abrasion resistance of the outsole to improve its functionality.

This study explores a dyeing method for recycled fabrics using natural leather. Currently, natural leather cutting wasteis rarely recycled. In this study, we investigated a selective dyeing method for leather yarn mixed with polymer after refiberingusing natural leather cutting waste. We examined pH changes and optimal temperatures for dyes and leathermaterials. The findings of this study will expand the industrial usability of new materials derived from natural leatherwaste.
섬유 폐기물의 조성 변화에 따른 가스켓 압축시트의 특성 연구

Industrial compressed gaskets are used to connect the ends of pipes with flanges, and to fit the flanges to the jointsurfaces to maintain the airtightness of the flanges. Gaskets are widely used for sealing in all industrial fields, such asthe petrochemical industry, power plants, the shipbuilding and marine industry, and marine plants. Gaskets can be eithermetal or non-metallic. Non-metallic gaskets are made in the form of a plate using materials such as rubber, asbestos,non-asbestos fibers, and paper. Non-metallic gaskets are flexible so are generally used to make products that do not requiretightening forces. In this study, fiber waste obtained as a by-product of the manufacturing process were selected, recovered,pulverized, and dried. This was then mixed with a binder to prepare a gasket sheet. The binder used in this study wasNBR (acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber).
