This paper presents how to design the configuration of generation system for shipboard power system based on fuel cost analysis. We propose a sophisticated economic analysis method with detailed fuel cost evaluation, which can be obtained from actual specific fuel consumption (SFC) characteristics of the gas-turbine and diesel generators installed in existing ships. Using the proposed method, we analyze economic benefits for optimal configurations of shipboard generation system for both hybrid propulsion ships such as CODLOG (COmbined Diesel-eLectric Or Gas-turbine) and COGLOG (COmbined Gas-turbine eLectric Or Gas-turbine) and full electric propulsion ships. In addition, we analyze the effects of energy storage system (ESS) in shipboard power systems in terms of spinning reserve management and single generator operation mode to meet the reliability and survivability requirement. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through multiple case studies with actual measurement data in ships that are currently in operation.
과학연극활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력 및 창의성에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 과학연극활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력 및 창의성에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 있다. 본 연구 대상은 S시에 위치한 B유치원 만 5세 유아 36명(실험집단 18명, 비교집단 18명)이다. 총 6주 동안 실험집단은 유아를 대상으로 한 과학연극활동을 실시하였다. 연구도구는 Martin(1997)의 과학적 탐구능력 평가 척도를 기초로 하여 이경민(2000)이 제작하고 서윤희(2003)가 수정 · 보완한 ‘과학적 탐구능력 검사’를 사용하였고, 유아의 창의성을 검사하기 위해 Torrance(1990)가 개발한 창의성 검사(Torrance Tests of Creative Torrence; TTCT)를 김영채(2010)가 수정 · 제작한 창의성 검사 〈한국판 TTCT(도형)검사〉를 사용하였다. 과학연극활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력 및 창의성에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 과학연극활동은 유아의 과학적 탐구능력 전체 및 하위개념인 ‘예측하기’, ‘관찰하기’, ‘분류하기’, ‘토의하기’의 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 창의성 전체 및 하위개념인 ‘유창성’, ‘독창성’, ‘정교성’, ‘성급한 종결에 대한 저항’이 비교집단의 활동에 비해서 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 과학연극활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력 및 창의성을 향상시키는데 효과가 있음을 의미한다. 본 연구는 만 5세의 과학적 탐구능력과 창의성 향상을 위한 교수학습방법에 대한 새로운 시도로 유아교육현장에서 과학연극활동이 활성화되기 위한 기초자료를 제공할 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of science drama activities on young children’s scientific inquiry abilities and creativity. The subjects were 36 five-year-old young children in B kindergarten located in S city. The subjects were divided into an experiment group of 18 and a comparison group of 18. The experimental group was taught by the early childhood science drama activities utilizing picture books for 6 weeks. The checking tool used the “scientific inquiry ability test” produced by Lee Kyung Min (2000) based on Martin(1997)’s scientific inquiry ability evaluation scale. and Creativity inspection based on the ‘Torrance Tests of Creative Torrence(TTCT)’ developed by Torrance(1990)‘s ‘inspection of Korean version TTCT (figure)’ was used. The study findings are as follows: First, pre- and post-test results indicated that the scientific drama activities had a positive influence on improving young children’s scientific inquiry abilities such as prediction, observation, classification and communication. Second, creativities including fluency, originality, sophistication and hasty termination resistance are improved in comparison with the contrast group activities. This study’s findings show that the scientific drama activities are educational values as effective activities to improve young children’s scientific inquiry abilities and creativity. This study is expected to provide basic data for the scientific drama activities education in early childhood education as a new attempt to improve the teaching and learning methods of 5-year-old children.
토사자(兎絲子)가 난소적출(卵巢摘出)로 유도(誘導)된 흰쥐의 골다공증(骨多孔症)에 미치는 영향(影響)

Objectives: Osteoporosis, which occurs after menopause, is a kind of metabolic bone disorder. It develops when the bone mass begins to decrease radically, and its main symptoms are bone fracture and height-shortening. This thesis aims at what effects the Cuscutae Semen Extract(CSE) has on the prevention of osteoporosis in SD-rat that is caused by ovariectomy. Methods: The 24 female white rats, after removing their ovaries, were divided into the Normals, the Control group, and the CSE administrated group. For the next 8 weeks, distilled water to the normals and the control, and the CSE(45.9 mg/100 g) to the CSE administrated group were given in the mouths of them. After 8 weeks the rats were sacrificed. Weight, albumin, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, total-cholesterol, triglyceride, phosphorus, calcium, tetraiodothyronine, estradiol, the weight of the femur, the amount of tibia ash, the area of trabecular bone, and the thickness of trabecular bone were measured. Results: The serum analysis shows that the calcium and phosphorous of the CSE administrated group significantly increased compared to that of the control group. Aspartate aminotransferase, alkalinephosphatase, total cholesterol, tetraiodothyronine of CSE group were decreased, but not so significant. Albumin, alanine aminotransferase, triglyceride and estradiol of the group showed the tendency to increase, but the significance wasn`t admitted. Regarding the variation of bone, the femur weight and the ash content of tibia, CSE group was more increased than the control group but the significance wasn`t admitted. The histological observation shows that the trabecular thickness was more increased than the control group, and trabecular area increased significantly compared to those of the control group. The number of osteoclast and osteoblast area of the CSE groups decreased significantly compared to those of the control group. Conclusions: From the result of the above study, CSE should be effective for the osteoporosis cure and precaution and deeper study through bedside and clinical demonstration is much needed from now on.
