Thus, it appears that the frictional force under sliding conditions is very likely to be dependent upon the normal load speed, and temperature, and the Amontons' law is a very special case rather than a general rule.

혼탄연소가 보일러 및 보일러 후단 열교환기 성능에 미치는 영향에 관한 수치해석적 연구

A numerical modeling has been developed to predict the fly ash deposition rates in full-scale post-boiler heat exchangers by using the finite differential method. The equipment at upstream that has major effects on the flue gas and fly ash flowing into the heat exchangers at downstream were modeled by using the mass and energy balance method. The objective of this paper is to delineate the impact of blended coal combustion on the performance of boiler and post-boiler heat exchangers for supercritical pulverized coal-fired power plant applications. The boiler model considered the nonlinear effect of blended coal combustion, and the deposition model predicted the transient performance in the post-boiler heat exchangers in conjunction with the fuel quality. The modeling results were compared with the transient measurement and design data provided from the baseline power plant in terms of temperature profiles and efficiencies in the equipment. As the results of the modeling, the normalized boiler efficiencies of the practical blending cases were underperformed within 5% compared to the performance coal. The transient case studies on the GGC with variations of coal blending showed that the calculated fouling factors due to the fly ash deposition onto the tube walls were reached to the saturated values within 33 months, at which the correlations with the coal rank were nonlinear.

Various small-break loss-of-coolant accident (LOCA) analyses, including the pressurizer (PZR) power-operated relief valves (PORVs) stuck-open accidents and the recovery actions in a pressurized water reactor (PWR) during shutdown operations, were performed in this paper. This research aims to verify the effectiveness of the emergency operating procedure (EOP) and of the emergency core-cooling system (ECCS) on reactor safety during shutdown operations. The break sizes were from 0.0254 m to 0.3 m in diameter, which is equivalent to the diameter of the branch pipe of the plant's reactor coolant system. The analysis results indicate that a high-pressure safety injection (HPSI) should be administered manually within 15 minutes to meet the ECCS design criteria in a LOCA during shutdown operations.
