This study aims to provide basic data for healthy dietary habits and for developing standard menu plans for a nutritionally balanced diet by surveying the dietary behavior and food preferences of monks in Korean temples. A self-administered questionnaire was applied to 536 monks aged 19 or older living in temples. The questionnaire investigated general matters, dietary behavior, dietary evaluation, meal satisfaction, and food preferences. The study population comprised 41.2% of men and 58.8% of women. In all, 43.0% of the subjects responded that they are healthy whereas 12.5% felt weak. The meals in temples were prepared either by monks and civilian assistants together (56.8%), or only by monks (15.9%). The subjects felt that the difficulty of the temple’s diet was a ‘nutritionally insufficient diet’ (44.5%), followed by ‘strict eating discipline’ or Balwoo Gongyang (30.7%). The side dishes with high preference scores were roasted deodeok (4.44 points), roasted laver (4.00 points), and salads (4.02 points). Our study results indicate that the subjects had good subjective health conditions and relatively desirable dietary behaviors. The intake of calcium-source foods (milk and dairy products) and protein-source foods were relatively low. Therefore, it is necessary to provide nutritionally good snacks between meals and find ways to increase calcium and protein intake. In addition, there is a necessity to develop and provide a standard diet plan reflecting subjects’ food preferences. .

The polystyrene-block-poly-2-vinylpyridine (PS-b-P2VP) di-block copolymer nanoparticles with onionlikeinternal structure have been synthesized by a simple reprecipitation method under stirring. The internal structuresof the di-block copolymer nanoparticles were dependent on kinetic process in the reprecipitation method suchas morphology quenching. Relatively quick reprecipitation conditions produced transient morphologies such as random-onion core-shell or random/cylindrical internal structure, while the slow reprecipitation conditions yielded theonion-like internal morphology. By adjusting the combination of common solvent and poor solvent, we could controlthe internal morphology of d-BCP nanoparticles in the simple reprecipitation method. In addition, we could synthesizeporous titanium oxide nanoparticles by templating the d-BCP nanoparticles with internal structure.

논문에서는 풀러렌의 성질, 유기반응, 고분자반응을 설명하였으며, 풀러렌과 고분자의 블렌딩에 대해 소개를 하였다. 또한 다른 화학물질과 풀러렌의 반응성을 기술하였다. 풀러렌의 화학 반응은 가지 사슬 풀러렌 고분자, 주사슬 풀러렌 고분자, 별 모양 풀러렌 고분자, 덴드리머 타입 풀러렌 고분자와 같은 연구에 응용되었다. In this review, the properties of buckminsterfullerene and its organic and polymeric reactions were focused. In addition, polymer blending with C60 will be briefly introduced. As soon as C60 was discovered, chemists put their efforts to explore its reactivity with other compounds. The knowledge of the organic reactions with C60 was extended to construct different types of fullerene polymers such as side chain fullerene polymers, main chain fullerene polymers, star shaped fullerene polymers, and dendritic fullerene polymers.
