        맥반석 첨가 식이가 십자매 조직의 무기질함량에 미치는 영향

        Quartz porphyry (QP) on the contents of mineral tissues of male common finch by feeding the basal diet (Control group) containing 3.0% QP (QP group) for 14 days was studied. The relative weight (mg/10 g body weight) of kidney and gizzard in the QP group were higher and lower than in the control group, respectively. However, the relative weight of liver and heart were not significantly different in the both groups. The mineral contents of liver, kidney, heart and gizzard were significantly higher in common finch fed with the diet containing quartz porphyry than that of control diet. The major minerals of these tissues were P, Ca and Fe.

        맥반석 첨가 식이가 백문조의 혈액 임상화학지수에 미치는 영향

        Effect of Quartz porphyry(QP) on clinical chemical parameters of serum in male white java sparrow by feeding the basal diet(Control group) containing 3.0% QP(QP group) for 14 days was studied. Body weight gain, feed intake, the weight of the gizzard and the heart were not significantly different in the both groups. However, the weights of kidney and liver in the QP group were higher than in the control group. The contents of triglyceride, cholesterol, total protein, glucose, creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, uric acid and albumin, and the activities of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase(GOT) and glutamic pyruvic transaminase(GPT) in serum were not significantly different in the both groups. The activity of alkaline phosphatase(ALP) in serum was higher in the QP group than in the control group.

        맥반석(Quartz porphyry) 첨가 식이가 십자매의 임상화학지수에 미치는 영향

        규산염 광물질인 맥반석을 3%수준으로 식이중에 첨가하여 십자매에 2주간 급여한 후 생리적 및 생화학적 성상에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검토하였다. 체중 증가량, 식이 섭취량, 식이 효율, 상대적 간장 및 심장 무게는 대조군과 맥반석 첨가군 사이에 유의적인 차이가 없었고, 상대적 신장 및 근위 무게는 맥반석 첨가군에서 각각 증가 및 감소하였다. 혈청 총 단백질, 혈당, 알부민, 중성지질, 콜레스테롤 농도는 두군 사이에 차이가 없었다. 간기능 지표인 GOT및 ALP 활성은 맥반석 첨가군에서 각각 증가 및 감소하였으나, GTP 활성은 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 따라서, 맥반석 3% 수준의 식이중첨가는 십자매의 생리적 및 생화학적 상태에는 영향을 미치지 않으며, 식이의 영양효율을 증가시키는 것으로 사료된다.         맥반석 식이가 십자매와 백문조 간장 및 신장의 형태학적 변화에 미치는 영향

        Effect of Quartz porphyty(QP) on functional and morphological changes of the liver and kidney was studied in male common finch and white java sparrow fed with the basal diet(Control group) or experimental diet containing 3.0% QP(QP group) for 14 days. There was not significantly different morphological change of the liver upon light microscopic examination in common finch and white java sparrow between control group and QP group. Morphological change of renal tissue upon light microscopic examination in common finch and white java sparrow was not also significantly different between control group and QP group. The concentrations of serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, and nric acid as renal functional parameters of common finch and white java sparrow were not significantly different in the both groups. The activity of glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase(GOT) as hepatic functional parameter in common finch was significantly higher in the QP group($\rho$<0.05), whereas the activity of glutamic pyruvic transaminase(GPT) as hepatic functional parameter in common finch was not significantly different in the both groups. The activities of GOP and GPT in white java sparrow were not significantly different in the both groups. The morphologic findings and functional parameters of the liver and kidney observed in common finch and white java sparrow fed with 3.0% QP diet showed evidence of slightly liver damage accompanied with increased release of enzyme and fatty change of the hepatocytes in common finch, suggested that the tissues in some animals can be damaged by feeding a diet supplemented with 3.0% QP.
