사람의 장속에서 영상을 획득하여 이를 체외로 전송하는 무선 내시경과 같은 초소형 텔레메트리 캡슐에서는 캡슐의 크기와 전원 공급에 많은 제약을 받는다. 캡슐을 삼킬 수 있는 크기로 제작하기 위해서는 소형의 건전지를 사용하여 캡슐이 소화관 내를 조사하는 동안 안정적인 전원 공급이 이루어지도록 해야 한다. 이를 위해서는 양방향 통신을 이용한 캡슐의 동작 및 전원 제어가 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 캡슐형 내시경에서의 양방향 통신을 위한 CPLD (complex programmable logic device) 기반의 제어기를 설계 및 구현하였다. 캡슐 제어기는 체외의 제어기로부터 제어 명령을 전달받아 이를 수행하며 제어 동작의 수행 결과로 장내부의 영상을 획득하여 체외로 전송한다. 설계한 제어기를 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통해 설계사양을 검증하고 이를 CPLD로 구현하였다. 구현한 제어기를 캡슐형 무선 내시경에 탑재하여 동물실험을 수행하였으며 동물 실험 결과 실험 대상 동물의 체내에서 캡슐의 동작과 전원을 제어 할수 있었으며 동작제어의 결과로 장내부의 영상을 획득하여 이를 복원 할 수 있었다. In the case of a capsule that can acquire and transmit images from the intestines, the size of the module and the battery capacity in the capsule are subject to restriction. The capsule must be swallowable and the battery must maintain the stable power during the capsule travels in the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, it is important to control the endoscope using bi-directional wireless communication. In this study, encoder and decoder CPLD modules for bi-directional capsule endoscopes were designed and implemented. The designed controller for capsule endoscope can transmit the images of GI-track from inside to outside of the body and the capsules can be controlled by external controller simultaneously. The designed and implemented controller was verified by an in-vivo animal experiments. From these experiments, it was verified that the CPLD module for bi-directional capsule endoscope satisfied the design specifications.
체온측정용 온도 센서 및 모니터링 텔레메트리 시스템 구현

Typically, the vital signs that are representing the state of human body, are the body temperature, sphygmus, respiration and blood pressure. The body temperature is the result of metabolic regulation and human steady-state body temperature is maintained from 35.9 to 37.4 ℃ by heat regulatory center. The body temperature is indicative of infection and especially it should be monitored to requiring intensive care patients or after surgical patients. But, measuring of body temperature to a heavy workload on nursing staff has been recognized. And, the health service of nurse is limited by simple tasks such as the measurement and record of vital sign. In this paper, the body temperature monitoring telemetry system was proposed to prove the recoding and transmission of body temperature patch system according the standard(ISO TS11073-92001). We proposed the transmission protocol to suit the MFER(medical waveform format encoding rules). The telemetry patch system was implemented and it was verified by experiments.

소음환경에서 보청기 사용자의 음성인식능력을 향상시키기 위한 방안으로 두 채널의 마이크를 사용하는 방법이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 보청기를 착용했을 때의 실질적인 음향 특성에 대해서는 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 두 채널 마이크 배열의 하나인 ADMA(Adaptive Differential Microphone array)를 이용하여 BTE 보청기에서 마이크 배열방식에 따른 지향성 특성을 알아보기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과 마이크 배열의 형태가 일정할 경우 마이크 배열의 위치는 지향성 특성에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 반면, 마이크 배열방식이 다를 경우 지향성 특성이 달라지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
요추 불안정 환자에서 단순방사선 소견과 자기공명영상 소견의 비교

Purpose: This study was to investigate how dose the radiography findings are to magnetic resonance (MR) image findings in the L5-S1 instability patients. The subjects of this study were comprised of eleven males and fifteen females, who had Lumbago and agreed with this research. Methods: Radiography and MR images of Lumbar spine were acquired respectively from subjects in conditions of maximum flexion and extension. The horizontal and angular displacements in lumabosacral spine radiography were used to assess the instability of lumbar spine. MR images were also used to evaluate the intervertebral disc abnormalities and change of bone marrow. Results: The results are as follows. 1. In the case of flexion transitional displacement proposed by Dupuis et al, the specificity and negative predictive value were good accuracy ($0.7{\sim}0.8$), and the negative predictive value was in average. In the case of extension displacement, the negative predictive value was about average ($0.6{\sim}0.7$), but the sensitivity, specificity and positive predictive value were below the poor (<0.6). On the other side, the specificity was about average but other things were below in the case of angular displacement. 2. In the case of flexion transitional displacement proposed by Dupuis et al., compared with the intervertebral disc abnormalities, the negative prediction value was excellent, the sensitivity good, and the specificity about average. In the case of extension, the negative prediction value was about average, but the other things were poor. On the other side the specificity and negative predictive value had good accuracy and the sensitivity and positive prediction value were below average in the case of angular displacement. Conclusion: The above results show that the radiography finding is sufficiently helpful to find the lumbar spine instability as an economic point of view.

Recently, the performance of binaural hearing aids is rapidly improved with the technology advancement of wireless communication, digital signal processing, and integrated circuit design. However, the previous hearing aids developer platforms can't be applied to binaural hearing aids developing, because it has no consideration for wireless communication and binaural hearing control. Also, the previous developer platforms are not easy to use for the algorithm development, because programming languages are limited. In this paper, we designed and implemented the open platform board for binaural hearing aids developing. The designed board can be programmed by general programming language and can be used wireless communication module. In order to verify the designed open platform board, we used the volume control algorithm using two open platform board. As a result of experiment, we verified the performance of designed and implemented open platform board that was successfully operated the binaural hearing control and the wireless communication.
