본 논문에서는 감시 시스템 내에서 검출된 객체에 대해 정확한 특징벡터를 추출하기 위한 그림자 제거(shadow casting)방법을 제안한다. 그림자에 의해 부정확한 특징벡터를 가지게 되는 객체는 동일한 객체임에도 불구하고 서로 다른 객체로 인식하는 잘못된 결과를 가져온다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 추출된 객체의 경계선(edge)의 수직 히스토그램과 그림자의 방향성을 사용하여 그림자를 제거한다.

In recently industry, with the miniaturization and high-precision of machine part, the development of mold manufacturing technology for mass production is accompanied by the development of new industrial field such as IT, NT and BT. The metal injection molding(MIM) process combines the well-known thermoplastic injection and powder metallurgy technologies to manufacture small parts for IT, NT, BT industrial. In this study, the bar type MIM mold with a 800um thickness is made for influence of feedstock material and injection parameter through an experiment.

Recently, the magnetorheological (MR) polishing method has been performed as a new ultra precision polishing technique for many industrial applications. This method uses MR fluids, which consists of carbonyl iron (CI) particle, carrier fluid, additives and dispersion stabilizer. However, CI particle are easily oxidized in water. This problem leads to unpredictable polishing results and reduces the life of MR fluid. To solve the problem, in this study, Silica-coated CI particles were used for MR polishing. Their rheological properties were analyzed to compare silica coated MR fluid and uncoated MR fluid. As a result, in terms of surface roughness, MR polishing with silica-coated CI based MR fluid (Ra=1.89nm) shows a better than that of uncoated CI based MR fluid.
마이크로 크기 노즐을 가지는 MR Fluid Jet Polishing을 이용한 마이크로 금형 채널의 디버링

Micro-burrs are resulting from micro-cutting on the surface. So it is expected to remove them completely and many studies have been performed for deburring. In this study, micro-end-milling was carried out on nickel materials commercially used for optical and display devices. After this micro-machining, the burr heights were measured with a non contact 3D profiler and microscope. Then, deburring was done on the machined edges using the MR fluid jet polishing system according to jet angle and time. Finally, burrs were completely eliminated after 5 min and jet angle 30° of MR fluid jet polishing.
