Background: There are limited literatures regarding the clinical characteristics of the specific dermatoses of pregnancy, and their terminology has been confusing and misleading. A simplified classification is proposed with the new terminology ‘atopic eruption of pregnancy``, comprising several disease entities such as eczema of pregnancy, prurigo of pregnancy, and pruritic folliculitis of pregnancy. Objective: A clinical study was performed to determine the exact nature of atopic eruption of pregnancy in Korea. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 75 patients who were diagnosed and reclassified as atopic eruption of pregnancy at Pusan National University Hospital. Results: Among 121 patients with the specific dermatoses of pregnancy, 75 (62%) were diagnosed with atopic eruption of pregnancy. The most affected sites were the flexural surfaces of the neck and extremities, followed by the abdomen and back. The mean gestational age was 18.5 weeks. In 92% of cases, atopic eruption of pregnancy started during the 1st and 2nd trimesters of pregnancy. Major fetal problems were not seen. Atopic disease was observed in 26 (34.7%) patients. Total serum IgE levels were elevated in 10 (50%) patients among the 20 patients who were tested for IgE levels. Forty-four (58.5%) patients improved after delivery, and atopic eruption of pregnancy recurred after delivery in 6 (8%) patients. Conclusion: The characteristics of AEP in Korea were mostly similar to those of AEP in Western countries. However, AEP in Korea seems to show a poor prognosis and be refractory to treatment compared to that of Western countries.

석회에 바인더를 적용하여 해리속도를 조절함으로써 수중 인(P)을 효과적으로 제거하고, 수질변화가 적어 수중생태계에 악영향을 주지 않는 조류생성방지제를 개발하고 그 성능을 평가하였다. 연구 결과, 조류생성방지제는 기존의 응집침전 공정의 단점인 과도한 슬러지 발생의 문제점을 보완하고, 수질에 큰 영향을 미치지 않으면서도 수중 인 농도를 효과적으로 제거할 수 있어, 연못 등의 자연 수계나 하·폐수 처리에 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다. Total phosphorus(T-P) in water was effectively removed by controlling dissociation rate of algal bloom inhibition chemical which is a mixture of lime and binder. The experimental results showed that excess sludge production, one of the drawbacks of traditional coagulation process, was clearly suppressed and T-P was effectively removed without significant variation in water quality.

The several vibration lest methods have been developed to evaluate and improve the BSR noise which has increased as a quality problem of the automotive interior parts in recent years. To simulate the BSR noise in the laboratory, il is necessary 10 acquire the road profile data and to measure the partial sound level using the sound visualization system, in this case, it is possible to understand the BSR noise level but difficult to identify the cause of noise and propose the improvement of that. In this study, the structural characteristics of the door and scat moduler was investigated through the normal mode test and the source of the BSR noise generated by the exciter with sine sweep signal was analyzed, so tho Improvement and reduction of the BSR noise was confined through the structural treatment based on the results of the structural test and the analysis of noise sources.

PU, PP, PE, PET소재를 주원료로 생산되는 자동차부품은 석유화학 원료로부터 제조되어지는 것이 일반적 이다, 그러나 석유자원은 유한하여 고갈의 우려가 대두되고 있고, 무엇보다 C02를 생산에서 폐기 시까지 발생시키는 문제가 있다, 1970년대 이후 대량생산 체제 기반 하에서 플라스틱 시장의 성장으로 인한 플라스틱 사용은 중가하고 있으며, 이와 동시에 플라스틱 폐기물 역시 매년 증가하고 있어 환경오염, 지구 온난화, 생태계 파괴 등과 같은 심각한 후유증을 초래하게 되었고, 지구 온난화 및 석유 자원 고갈을 대비하여 에너지와 이산화탄소를 획기적으로 절감할 수 있는 차세대 저탄소화 소재 및 제품이 필요하다. 이에 본 자료에서는 바이오 플라스틱에 대한 전반적인 개요 및 자동차 산업을 중심으로 바이오 플라스틱 적용 사례, 바이오 폴리우레탄 소개 및 바이오폴리올의 적용 사례를 중심으로 기술하였다.

Generally, sound-absorbing materials in vehicles are used for giving the comfort to passengers by reducing noise while driving. Materials of which targets are light weight, high performance, eco friendliness and recycling have been developed recently. In this study, sound-absorbing materials using PET(polyethylene terephthalate) hollow fibers to achieve the light weight and the high sound absorption performance are developed, and then evaluated to meet a requirement for the automotive components. The test results show that the acoustic performances of developed products having new fiber structure are better than those of the conventional product.

Background: Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination has been widely used to prevent severe infections caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Although BCG vaccination is generally safe, some cutaneous complications may occur. However, cutaneous complications related to BCG infection have been rarely investigated in Korea. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics of cutaneous complications following BCG vaccination in Korean patients. Methods: We identified 18 patients with cutaneous complications following BCG vaccination in the Pusan National University Hospitals (Busan and Yangsan) from 2002 to 2019. Clinical manifestations and course were examined by the review of medical records and photographs. Results: Among BCG-vaccinated persons, 18 patients manifested with BCG-specific cutaneous complications. The mean age of the patients was 10.6±10.1 months, and 10 (55.6%) were female. The specific cutaneous complications following BCG vaccination were local abscess (7, 38.9%), lymphadenitis (4, 22.2%), BCG reactivation in incomplete Kawasaki disease (4, 22.2%), tuberculid (3, 16.7%), and scrofuloderma (1, 5.6%). Disseminated BCG infection was detected in 2 brothers (11.1%) who had an immunocompromised state and a family history of BCG complication. Conclusion: Specific cutaneous complications after BCG vaccination are rare, but may occur in various manifestations. (Korean J Dermatol 2020;58(7):453∼458)

최근 BSR 소음의 측정은 제품을 이루고 있는 부품간의 구조적인 발생 측면만을 다루고 있으며, 구조물을 이루고 있는 소재단위에서의 이음 발생특성에 대한 부분은 전혀 고려되지 않고 있다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 자동차 칵핏 모듈을 이루고 있는 소재들간의 조합에 초점을 맞추어 이음 전용 시험기를 사용하여 발생되는 이음을 측정하였고, 상태/열화 시편에 상온/고온/저온 조건등의 환경조건을 부여하여 온도 및 시편의 상태에 따른 이음 발생의 특성 변동을 알아보고자 한다. In this study, vehicle interior cockpit modules on a combination of materials that make up the BSR noise test instrument was measured using the noise generated and status/deterioration condition of the specimen at temperature (normal/high/low) conditions of the environment by granting the status of the specimen due to temperature and BSR noise characteristics of the fluctuations is investigated.
혼합결합조직질환에서 발생한 ‘소금후추가루양상 (Salt and Pepper Appearance)’의 피부색소변화 1예

The salt and pepper appearance of the skin is composed of salt (vitiligo-like depigmentation) and pepper (perifollicular pigmentation). Mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) is a distinct disease entity with mixed features of systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis, myositis, and rheumatoid arthritis with high titers of antibodies to U1 ribonucleoprotein (U1RNP). There are a few reports of pigmentary changes in MCTD. A 51-year-old woman presented with variably sized hypopigmented macules along with relative hyperpigmentation of the perifollicular areas on the face and neck; she was diagnosed with MCTD in a rheumatology clinic. Histopathology revealed dermal sclerosis in both hypo- and hyperpigmented areas, loss of melanocyte and pigment only in the hypopigmented area, and normal number of melanocyte and pigment in the hyperpigmented area. To the best of our knowledge, ‘salt and pepper appearance of the skin’ has rarely been reported in MCTD. (Korean J Dermatol 2020;58(6):423∼426)
