According to Myers(1984) and Myers and Majluf(1984), there exists a financial hierarchy from internal to external financing, from long-term debt to equity, due to information costs. The purpose of this study is to assess the profit-making corporation of healthcare institutions. Data was collected from 130 hospital presidents and financial managers. We analysed the frequency and one way ANOVA by SPSS Windows 14.0K. The major findings of the study were as follows: We found that the priorities which a healthcare institutions financing were internal financial, other allowance, a credit loan, a security loan, and a lease through this study. The priorities which a healthcare institutions raised the capital differed as to the number of beds and revenues. The priorities were no difference from ownership, location and an annual business.

종골의 만성 골수염에 대하여 다양한 치료 방법들이 제시되어 있는데, 감염된 뼈를 제거한 후에 빈 공간을 채우기 위하여 연부 조직 피판을 사용하거나 빈 공간이 큰 경우에는 골절을 방지하기 위하여 2차적으로 골이식을 하지만 수술을 2회 하여야 하고 치료 기간이 길다는 문제점이 있다. 저자들은 설상형 종골 골절을 수술적으로 치료한 후에 발생한 만성 골수염에 대하여 광범위 소파술 후 빈 공간을 자가 해면골 이식을 하여 1회 수술로 골수염을 치료할 수 있었던 3예를 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고한다. 3예 중 2예는 축성 고정시에 삽입한 스타인만 핀을 통한 핀 주위 감염이었다. Several methods for treatment of the chronic calcaneal osteomyelitis has been reported. Soft tissue flaps were used to fill the dead space after curettage. And then autogenous bone grafting is performed to maintain mechanical integrity as a second procedure in case of large bony defect. 50 at least two operations have to be done and the total duration of treatment is long. We hereby report three cases of chronic osteomyelitis of the calcaneus preceded by surgical treatment of calcaneal fracture which were treated successfully through simultaneous operation of extensive curettage and bone graft. Pin tract infection around Steinmann pin used for axial fixation occurred in two out of three cases.

본 연구는 의료기기 공동브랜드 사업 활성화를 위하여 원주에 소재한 57개 의료기기 제조업체를 대상으로 제품경쟁력 결정요인, 주력제품 부족요인, 공동브랜드 참여의사, 그리고 공동브랜드 성공가능성 등을 조사∙분석하였 으며, 각 기업이 응답한 최빈수의 결과로서 다음과 같은 사항을 제안하였다. 첫째, 기업의 적극적인 참여를 이끌어 내기 위하여 공동브랜드의 중요성에 대한 홍보와 교육이 필요하다. 둘째, 국제 경쟁력 확보를 위하여 기술개발을 통 한 제품차별화와 지속적인 품질관리 모니터링 프로그램이 마련되어야 한다. 셋째, 기업들이 요구하는 국내외 판매망 구축, 광고 및 홍보, 그리고 전시회 공동참여를 우선적으로 수행할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 공동브랜드 사업의 시너지효 과를 극대화 시키고, 참여기업의 갈등을 최소화 시킬 수 있는 방안이 마련되어야 한다. 다섯째, 공동브랜드 사업의 안정적 수행을 위하여 브랜드 관리주체의 경영역량과 신뢰 확보가 필요하다. This study was carried out to present a co-brand strategies of medical equipment manufacturers in Wonju city. Based on the result of the analysis, followings were proposed. First, an adequate education and a publicity for the importance of a co-brand are required, and it needs to reinforce the recognition on quality differentiation through a technology development and the importance of quality control. Second, establishing a system to secure the brand reliability and operating a program to monitor the technology development and quality are required. Third, it needs to implement a joint participation with priority for establishing a sales network, advertize and a publicity. Fourth, an alternative may needed in order to maximize the synergy effect of the co-brand project and minimize any possible conflicts among participants. Fifth, securing a reliability is needed to acquire the ability to manage the brand and derive member's active participation
의료기기산업 클러스터 육성방안 연구: 원주의료기기산업 발달과정 고찰을 중심으로

This study examined the development process of Wonju Medical Equipment Industry case and suggested the development plan of Medical Equipment Industry Cluster. For this purpose, we also reviewed Indiana Medical Industry Cluster and Kobe Medical Industry Cluster which were considered as successful cases in this area. Wonju Medical Industry started from the establishment of Incubation Center of medical Instrument in 1998 and since then there have been the building-up of many relevant institutes such as Post Business Incubator, Regional Research Center for Electronic Medical Equipment, Technology Innovation Center for Medical Equipment, Wonju Medical Industry Techno-Tower, Medical Engineering Cyber-Education Center, Foundation of Wonju Medical Industry Techno Valley, Foundation of Gwangwon Techno-Park, Wonju Branch, Complex of Medical Instrument, Wonju branch of Korea Technology Laboratory, Center of Oriental Medicine Industry etc. Wonju Medical Industry is composed of 65 enterprises and total sales amount to about 154 billion Won in 2006, which amount to 7.8% of total sales of medical equipments and 10.8% of exports in Korea. However, 95% of companies in Wonju Medical Industry produce an end-product and only six to seven companies cover more than 80% of total sales. Most of companies have less than ten employees. In this context, Wonju Medical Industry could be considered as the early stage of cluster formation. In conclusion, Wonju Medical Industry grew rapidly for a short period and was considered as having the potential enough to develop into industry cluster. However, there are some limitations on size of companies and lack of infrastructure for supporting companies. In order to develop into more competitive industry cluster, establishment of research center of medical instrument, strengthening financial support and manpower training system, marketing support, improvement of venture fund and tax system, efficient networking , integration of fragmented government programs are needed.

본 연구는 국내 벤처기업에서 세계 최초로 제조된 요실금 치료기기의 유럽시장 진출을 위하여 국내외 의료기기 시장의 환경변화에 대하여 서술하고 요실금과 치료방법, 그리고 신제품의 특성 및 유럽 요실금 치료기기 시장을 분석하고 시장 진출 방안을 제시하였다. 그 결론으로 국내 의료기기 벤처기업에서 세계 최초로 개발된 요실금 치료기기를 유럽시장에 판매하기 위해서는 다음과 같은 전략이 필요하다. 첫째, 시장침투수준을 증가시키기 위하여 국내 업체는 유럽에서 개최되는 관련 학회 및 전시회 참가 등을 통하여 유럽의 가정의와 비뇨기과 의사들에게 국내에서 개발된 요실금 치료장비에 대한 인식을 높이는 전략이 필요하다. 둘째, 개성 있는 독특한 제품임과 치료방법의 제시, 그리고 감염률을 줄일 수 있는 비용-효과적인 제품이라는 점의 강조가 필요하다. 셋째, 요실금 치료기기 시장의 경쟁이 심화되고 있는 상황에서 국내의 요실금 치료기기 제조업체는 품질을 확보하면서 가격을 낮출 수 있는 방법 모색을 통하여 품질과 배송, 그리고 가격의 일관성을 제시하여야 한다. This study describes the environment change of an internal and external medical device market to be entered to European market of an urinary incontinence treatment device, is aimed at suggesting a participation plan analyzing urinary incontinence and treatments, and characteristic of new products & European urinary incontinence market. In conclusion, to sell the urinary incontinence treatment device developed as the world"s first in European market, the following strategies are needed. First, the strategies domestic firms make family doctors and urologists heighten awareness of the urinary incontinence treatment device developed in Korea through participation of associations and exhibition being held in Europe to increase a market penetration level are needed. Second, it may be necessary to emphasize the fact that this devices are a characterful products and treatments, and cost-effectiveness treatments reducing infection ratio. Third, the domestic production firms of the urinary incontinence treatment device should suggest quality, delivery, and price consistency through looking for ways to lower the price while maintaining the quality in an increasingly competitive market conditions.
