지능형교통시스템(ITS)은 교통부문의 정보화 사업으로 첨단기술을 이용하여 도로교통 상황을 신속히 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 각종 정보를 제공하여 이용자들이 효율적이고 안전한 방법으로 도로를 이용할 수 있도록 하는 장치이다. 우리나라의 ITS 사업은 90년대 초반에 착수하여 90년대 후반에 교통체계효율화법이 제정되면서 본격적으로 추진하고 있다. 과천시를 대상으로 ITS 시범사업을 이미 추진해왔고 올해에는 대전ㆍ전주ㆍ전주ㆍ제주 등 3개 도시에서 본격적인 시스템 구축을 추진하고 있다.

This paper documents the development of a fuzzy logic based incident detection model for urban diamond interchanges. Research in incident detection for intersections and arterials is at a very initiaI stage. Existing algorithms are still far from being robust in dealing with the difficulties related with data availability and the multi-dimensional nature of the incident detection problem. The purpose of this study is to develop a new real-time incident detection model for urban diamond interchanges. The development of the algorithm is based on fuzzy logic. The incident detection model developed through this research is capable of detecting lane-blocking incidents when their effects are manifested by certain patterns of deterioration in traffic conditions and, thereby, adjustments in signal control strategies are required. The model overcomes the boundary condition problem inherent in conventional threshold-based concepts. The model captures system-wide incident effects utilizing multiple measures for more accurate and reliable detection, and serves as a component module of a real-time traffic adaptive diamond interchange control system. The model is designed to be readily scalable and expandable for larger systems of arterial streets. The prototype incident detection model was applied to an actual diamond interchange to investigate its performance. A simulation study was performed to evaluate the model’s performance in terms of detection rate, false alarm rate, and mean time to detect. The model’s performance was encouraging, and the fuzzy logic based approach to incident detection is promising.

ITS는 내용상 공공성을 강하게 띠고 있기 때문에 그 운영의 담당기관은 대부분 중앙부서.지자체.공기업 등 공공기관이어야 하며, ITS장비의 구매는 주문생산방식을 취하게 될 것이므로 ITS 기술개발은 전형적인 정부주도형 연구개발분야라고 할 수 있다. ITS는 지역별 특성에 따라 기능별로 미분화된 독립적인 시스템의 도입 및 구축이 불가피하다. 따라서 독립성이 강한 시스템간의 정보교환방식의 표준화는 이용자의 편익차원에서 매우 중요하다. 이는 시스템의 효율성 제고를 위해서도 핵심적인 사항이므로 ITS 기술의 표준화 추진을 위하여 정부주도의 연구개발이 효과적이라고 할 수 있다.

KATECH(Korea Automotive Technology Institute) has been developing a driving simulator named KAAS(KATECH Advanced Automotive Simulator) which includes spherical screen with 360x35 deg FOV(Field of View), a full dome, a medium size full car cabin, a large scale 6DOF motion platform(5.5 ton payload; full dome screen and car cabin is placed on the motion platform), scenario operating system and others. Among the driving simulator systems in Asia, KAAS is the largest one. As a result of three years of research, KAAS system is now in test operation. KAAS system will be used for developing advanced automotive electronics such as telematics, advanced safety devices, and driver assistance systems proving an accident-free test and development environment for Korean automotive manufactures. In order to satisfy the original purpose of the simulator, the KAAS system will be integrated with real-time HILS system, vehicle network simulation system, wireless communication simulation devices, high speed signal analysis devices, driver perception analysis system, and GPS signal simulation system.

구속 점탄성 층을 갖는 복합보를 동흡진기로 이용하는 문제를 다루었다. 이 동흡진기의 효과를 조사하기 위해 양단고정 주진동 보에 설치했을 때의 변위전달율을 구하여 기존 균일 재질보 동흡진기 효과와 비교했다. 해석결과 최적 동흡진기를 구성하는 패러매터 값이 현재 활용되는 재질 측면에서 의미있는 범위내에 존재하고 있고 둘이상의 공진 진동수에서 전달율을 동시에 줄일 수 있었다. 이점으로 기존 제시된 비해 점탄성을 복합보가 유리하게 이용될 수 있음을 확인했다. The effectiveness of using a composite beam with constrained visco-elastic layer as a dynamic vibration absorber is investigated. The performance of this absorber is evaluated in terms of displacement transmissibility when to a primary beam with built-in ends and compared to that of the uniform beam absorber. The results of analysis and design show that it is possible to suppress simultaneoulsy the peak transmissibilities at two or more resonance frequencies and the optimal parameters are located within the available viscoelastic material properties.

탄성 평판에 왕복압축기를 설치할때의 최적마운트 설계문제를 다루었다. 마운트 부재로 네 개의 짧은 중공 고무원통(hollow rubber cylinder)을 사용하여 설계변수로서 고무원통의 두께, 지름, 높이, 그리고 설치위치를 고려한다. 최소 힘 전달율을 주는 최적마운트 매개변수 결정에는 구속 로젠브록법을 이용한다. The optimal mounting system for reciprocating comperssor supported on a flexible is designed. Four short hollow rubber cylinders are used as mounting pads, and so the thickness, diameter, height and location of the rubber mounts are considered as design parameters. The optimal mounts parameters which give the smallest force transmittance, are obtained by Constrained Rosenbrock Method.

This paper reports on the development of a new foot for a quadrupedal jointed-leg type walking robot. The foot has 2 toes, one at the front and the other at the rear side, for stable landing on uneven ground by point contact. The toes can move up and down independantly, guided by double-wishbone shaped parallel links which enable the lower leg to rotate with respect to a remote center on the ground surface. The motion of each toe is damped by a hydropneumatic shock absorber integrated in the foot in order to absorb the dynamic landing shock. Furthermore, the new foot can reduce the maximum hip joint drive torque by shortening the moment arm length between the hip joint and the landing force vector on the ground. Intensive experiments were carried out in this study by using a one-leg walking model to investigate the soft landing performance of the foot which could be hardly offered by conventional robot feet such as a flat plate with a gimbal type ankle joint. And it was confirmed that the hip joint torque of the leg walking on the flat surface could be reduced remarkably by using the new foot.
