        미군정기 한국 농업 기술기구의 변천과 농업 기술관료

        본 연구는 미군정기 농업 기술행정 기구와 조직, 이에 참여한 한국인 관료들의 갈등과 순응과정을 살펴보았다. 미군정은 조선총독부 농업시험장 체제를 인수하여 농업기술 연구를 진행하고자 했으나 시험장의 직급을 급격히 격하시켜 시험장 직원 및 관리자의 반발과 저항을 불러일으켰다. 1947년 12월 농사개량원의 설립은 일제 식민농정의 하향식 관치주의 를 탈피하고자 농무부에서 분리시켜 농업생산력 증가를 위한 연구․교육사업과 민주적 농민지도 사업을 추진하려는 구도를 갖고 있었다. 그러나 제도적 한계와 정치 상황의 변화로 지속되지 못했다. 일제 관변농민단체였던 조선농회도 민주적 농민단체로의 전환을 추진했지만, 오히려 관제성이 강화되면서 성과를 거두지 못했다. 미군정기 남한의 농무행정 최고 담당자는 이훈구였다. 초대 농산국장 현근도 미국 유학파였다. 이훈구 - 현근 라인은 미국의 대한정책에 입각하여 자본주의국가 건설에 걸맞는 농무행정을 지향하면서 전체주의적 관치행정을 탈피해 ‘민주적’ 농무행정을 구현한다는 입장이었지만 실현되지 못했다. 해방 이후 일본인 관리 중심의 구조였던 식민지 행정체계의 공백을 메우는 것은 간단한 일이 아니었다. 농사시험장 초대 장장인 계응상은 한국인 관리의 자부심과 실무적 능력 배양을 위한 과정이 필요하다는 입장이었으나 미군정과의 소통 부재와 불화로 6개월여 만에 해임되었다. 후임자 김호직은 미군정에 대한 협력과 순응의 태도를 보였으나 농사 시험장은 침체되었다. This study explores the agricultural technocratic organizations of Korea during the U.S. Military rule and the Korean technocrats’ initial conflict and subsequent compliance with the U.S. Military rule. The US Army Military Government in Korea (USAMGIK) adopted Joseon Government General’s Agricultural Experiment Stations system as it was but lowered the Stations’ technocrats staff level by more than three ranks, which causedthe technocrats’ opposition and resistance. The USAMGIK established Agricultural Improvement Service in Dec.1947 to deviate from top-down agricultural technocracy of the colonial period. Agricultural Improvement Service was separated from the Agricultural Department to initiate research and educational projects to increase agricultural productivity and encourage democratic practices in agricultural businesses. However, systematic limitations and volatile political landscape hampered their progress. Korea Agricultural Association, a government-sponsored agricultural organization, attempted to transform into a democratic agricultural organization but failed as its bureaucratic nature became stronger. The Head of Agricultural Department during the US Military rule was Lee Hoon- Koo. The first Chief of Bureau of Agicultural Production was Hyun Kun, who studied abroad in the United States. Lee Hoon-Koo and Hyun Kun together supported the establishment of anti-Communism, capitalistic nation promoted by the United States, while deviating from authoritarian bureaucracy and implementing ‘democratic’ agricultural administration. But such plan did not realize. The first Chief of Agricultural Experiment Stations Keh Ung-Sang proposed that the training system to develop practical administrative skills and confidence as Korean administrators. But due to the lack of communication and conflict with the USAMGIK, Keh was laid off in six months. The successor Kim Ho-Jik conformed to and cooperated with the USAMGIK but Agricultural Experiment Stations staggered.

        We propose an acousto-microfludic method for separation of cardiovascular disease biomarker proteins (C-reactive protein and thrombin) conjugated with aptamer-functionalized microparticles of different sizes inside a microchannel. Surface acoustic waves (SAWs) generated from an interdigital transducer are utilized to induce acoustic radiation force (ARF) acting on the protein-conjugated microparticles. The magnitude of the SAW-induced ARF that the protein-conjugated microparticles vary depending on the microparticle size. The surface of the streptavidin-coated polystyrene microparticles were functionalized with DNA-based aptamers to selectively capture their corresponding target proteins. We experimentally demonstrate the continuous and simultaneous separation of multiple human proteins that serve as early diagnostic biomarkers of cardiovascular diseases.

        한말·일제 초 `지방지식인`의 근대적 제도 및 문물에 대한 경험과 인식 ―생활일기류(生活日記類)의 분석을 중심으로―

        This article is an examination of the local intellectuals who accumulated experiences of the modern culture and formed a perspective upon such new things, through the personal journals and diaries they left during the time when Korea was moving toward an era of modernity. The local intellectuals` view of the modern capitalist institutions and policies were based upon their own personal interests. They did not show any active resistance or such attitude or even thinking to the new policies or the intervention from external forces. But on the other hand, they also demonstrated that the Koreans had internal potentials for development by well utilizing the colonial ruling policies of the imperial Japanese authorities. They also realized that the expansion of capitalist economy in Korea was not ensuring the colony population of wealth and happiness. But their view of the world followed the flow of the capital, and it started to gaze at Japan and the world, beyond the local areas and even the Hanyang capital of Joseon. What would the modern civilization have been like to the local intellectuals who newly faced it? They did not reject it at the first hand, or feared it based upon vague anxiety or Shaman beliefs just like the ordinary public. They continued to have a firsthand taste of modern culture and civilization, based upon rational thinking, reasoning, and economic power. They traveled to Seoul on train to watch motion pictures, took portrait photographs of their own, and received medical care at Western-style hospitals. But their experiences of modern culture was also part of their efforts to maintain their status inside the society. To them, it was a frustrating reality that the engine behind modernization was being driven by external forces(including the Japanese authorities), but the local intellectuals had always been the ultimate beneficiaries of the social structure and did not have the experience of resisting something. Therefore modern institutions and culture were things that they thought they should become familiar to, no matter who was providing them with it, in order to keep their status inside the society.

        피드백이 영어작문능력에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 2언어 쓰기 지도에서 피드백 활동이 학습자의 영어작문능력에 미치는 영향에 대해 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 영어 쓰기 피드백 활동에 관한 선행연구들의 결과를 체계적 문헌고찰과 메타분석 방식으로 재분석하고 그 결과를 학술적으로 논의 하였다. 2019년 1월부터 3월까지 학술논문데이터베이스를 활용하여 국내·외 선행연구들을 광범위하게 수집하고, 본 연구를 위해 마련된 연구 자료 선별기준에 따라 총 23편의 선행연구들을 최종 연구 자료로 선정하였다. 우선 선정된 연구를 국내연구와 국외연구로 구분하고, 개별 연구에서 적용된 피드백의 유형에 따라 direct teacher feedback(교사의 직접 피드백), peer feedback(동료 피드백), indirect teacher feedback(교사의 간접 피드백)으로 분류하여 조작적 정의하고 피드백 유형별 효과크기를 산출하여 이를 비교분석하였다. 메타분석 결과, 선별된 국내외 선행연구들이 적용한 교사의 직접 및 간접 피드백이 학습자의 영어작문능력 향상에 통계적으로 유의미한 긍정적 영향을 미친 것으로 분석되었고 반면, 동료 피드백이 학습자의 영어 작문능력 향상에 미친 영향은 통계적으로 유의미한 수준에 도달하지 못한 것으로 나타났다. The present study investigates the impact of L2 writing feedback practice on learners’ writing performance through a systematic review and a meta analysis of previous studies on L2 writing feedback. More than 500 studies on English writing feedback practice were collected and reviewed from January to March, 2019; 23 studies were finally selected for the analyses of the study. The selected studies were first divided into domestic studies and international studies; then, they were categorized into three groups according to the feedback types that each study implemented, direct teacher feedback, peer feedback, and indirect teacher feedback. The results indicate that both direct and indirect teacher feedback have a statistically significant positive impact on student writers’ English writing development while peer feedback does not have a statistically significant effect on students’ writing development. The analyzed studies have somewhat high heterogeneity regarding teacher feedback; however, they have low heterogeneity with regard to peer feedback. It is thought that such heterogeneity was caused by different types of assessments or assignments that the studies employed to evaluate students’ writing development and their distinct evaluation standards.

        새로운 오이디푸스의 귀환 - 자비에 돌랑 (Xavier Dolan)의 <탐엣더팜 Tom à la ferme>에 나타난 부재와 욕망

        À partir du milieu des années 2000, le cinéma québécois vit une période remarquable dans l'histoire cinématographique canadienne. Les jeunes cinéastes québécois présentent successivement des oeuvres ambitieuses et originales aux plusieurs festivals internationaux du film. Cette génération 2000 – ainsi nommée par les critiques québécois - ne révèle pas spécialement son lien avec le cinéma qui l’a précédé. Ses oeuvres, souvent considérées comme relevant du cinéma d'auteur, sont librement inspirées du cinéma d'auteur international pendant ces dernières années. Parmi ces jeunes cinéastes indépendants de la nouvelle vague québécoise, Xavier Dolan occupe une place originale et unique. Différent des cinéastes de sa génération, Dolan cherche la source de sa création dans la littérature, la musique, la peinture et la culture populaire contemporaine-les images publicitaires, la culture internet, etc-. Il ne s'inspire d'aucun film qui a marqué l'histoire du cinéma. L'esthétique audacieuse et spontanée de notre cinéaste permet à ses oeuvres de ne pas entrer dans le registre de la catégorie identitaire. Pourtant, un motif principal se dégage des diverses oeuvres dolaniennes : la question identitaire. C'est la raison pour laquelle, les spectateurs trouvent presque toujours chez Dolan la présence significative de la mère. La plupart de ses films pourraient être ainsi perçus comme une relecture du mythe d'Oedipe. Dans cette perspective, Tom à la ferme, son quatrième long métrage, n'est pas seulement une histoire de l'homophobie à la campagne contre un homosexuel urbain. Dans ce film, Tom, héros désespéré de la mort de son amant et Francis, le frère du défunt, forment un triangle malsain et tragique avec la mère parce qu'elle trouve le moyen de remplacer son fils mort chez Tom. Dans ce triangle fermé, toutes les lignes de démarcation sont effacées. Le désir et la haine, la répulsion et la fascination, la naissance et la mort, la victime et le bourreau ne s’y distinguent plus. L’absence d’objet identifié abolit également leur identité sexuelle parmi les personnages. Comme si la mère autoritaire et possessive infantilisait Tom, il semble se complaire dans ce monde régressif. Contrairement aux autres thrillers, Tom à la ferme permet de retrouver le renouvellement du sujet Oedipien. Malgré toute l'horreur qui domine ce film, Dolan transforme l'espace clos, qui est en dehors de la loi en utopie nostalgique. En dissolvant l’orientation sexuelle et l’identité, notre cinéaste revalorise ce monde pré-Oedipien, celui de l’innocence originelle d’une fusion avec la mère. Ses héros au complexe d’Oedipe inachevé et ses réflexions originales de l'identité défont les normes culturelles imposées au sexe dans la culture occidentale traditionnelle. Cette tentative de renouveler la réflexion sur l’identité pourrait aussi faire écho au problème identitaire québécois

        Fitting student needs : Purpose/needs specific English writing in higher education

        목적 본 연구는 한국 대학의 영어 쓰기 교육이 구체적으로 어떻게 이루어지는지 탐색하고, 학생, 교수진, 교육기관의 특정한 요구사항을 면밀히 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 본 연구는 기관 사례 연구로서 한 공과 대학(가칭)이라는 연구지를 선정하여 수업 참관, 교과관련 문서 분석, 학생, 교수자, 프로그램 책임자와의 반구조화 심층 인터뷰를 통하여 방대한 질적 자료를 수집하였다. 결과 한 공과대학에서는 영어 쓰기 교육이 체계적이고 활발하게 이루어지고 있었으며, 특정 목적을 지닌 교육 기관인 만큼 학생들과 교수자들도 영어 쓰기에 대한 구체적이고 특정한 요구/필요 사항을 지니고 있었다. 학생들은 현재 받고 있는 것보다 양적으로 더 많고, 자신의 궁금증을 해소해줄 수 있는 심도 있는 피드백을 원했으며, 교수자에 대해서는 교수자의 언어적 배경보다는 영어 쓰기에 대한 전문성을 더 중요하게 생각하였다. 결론 고등교육 기관인 대학은 학생들에게 특정 목적과 구체적인 요구 사항을 충족시켜줄 수 있는 체계적인 영어 쓰기 교육을 제공해야 하고, 이를 위해 학생들, 교수진, 기관 자체의 요구/필요 사항을 정확하게 분석하는 것이 매우 중요하다. Objectives The study explores how English writing is being taught and learned in real educational settings in Korean higher education and examines student, faculty, and institutional needs in learning and teaching English writing. Methods The study primarily adopts a situated qualitative research approach—an institutional case study of a university. Qualitative data were garnered from a research site, Han Technology University (HTU) through participant observations of classes, consultation of course documents, and semi-structured in-depth interviews with students, instructors, and an administrator associated with English writing. Results English writing is being actively and systematically taught at the research site; students have strong and specific needs for English writing depending on their disciplines, internal motivation, and personal goals. Additionally, students desire more and further feedback on their writing than what they have currently been receiving; they value teachers’ expertise to teach writing regardless of their language background. Conclusions Higher education is expected to provide its students with purpose/needs specific English writing instruction according their disciplines; to this end, understanding student, faculty, and institutional specific needs for English writing at local educational settings is significant.

        A patient with uncertain history of angina went under general anesthesia for nasal septoplasty. During the perioperative period, his previously normal ECG developed a left bundle branch block (LBBB). LBBBs occuring during anesthesia is a rare event, but can be an important sign for acute myocardial infarction or myocardial ischemia. In this patient, with the injection of esmolol, his heart rate decreased and the ECG changed back to normal sinus rhythm. This kind of heart rate dependent LBBB is a benign disease not directly related to myocardial ischemia, but adequate preoperative cardiac evaluation is still needed to differentiate from myocardial ischemia. differentiate from myocardial ischemia.

        <생선 쿠스쿠스 La Graine et le Mulet>와 지중해권 해항도시 세트 Sète에 나타난 혼종과 소통의 미학

        La graine et le mulet, troisième long métrage d'Abdellatif Kechiche réussit à situer cet auteur dans la grande lignée du cinéma français et méditerranéen. Pourtant, Kechiche ne se présente pas seulement comme un véritable héritier de Renoir ou de Pagnol. Ce film permet aux spectateurs de trouver un changement profond dans le cinéma contemporain français. Le mélange de genres, celui de langues et de diverses tonalités dans ce film construisent un tissu riche d’une cohabitation des contraires et brouillent leur système de hiérarchie. Le gros plan et le plan d’ensemble que notre cinéaste privilègie représentent merveilleusement la richesse et l’énergie collective dans la culture méditerranéenne actuelle en France. Sète, c'est une ville qui possède une identité culturelle spéciale. Elle a une place qui oscille sans cesse entre tradition et avant-garde dans son histoire. Cette ville portière méditerranéenne se trouve un cadre parfait pour cette ode à la solidarité familiale. La ville d'artiste comme Georges Brassens devient un endroit qui reflète la mixité inévitable et potentiellement féconde entre les deux rives de la Méditerranée, A la fois réaliste et poétique, Kechiche représente l'hybridité dynamique dans la communauté méditerranéenne. Cette spécificité méditerranéenne que notre réalisateur montre, permet aux spectateurs de retrouver le vrai visage de la France d'aujourd'hui. C'est l'Hexagone métissé qui nous dévoile sa vitalité, ses apories et ses espoirs.
