A BTC-ADRC hybrid coding method to remove the problems of conventional adaptive BTC and adaptive dynamic range coding is proposed. A determination of the quantization level was reference to deviation. of the blocks and the human visual system characteristic. A low activity areas aid medium activity areas ate 1-level and 2-level quantizer respectively, A high activity areas are, 4 level quantizer using adaptive dynamic range coding. So it can remove the local minimum problem of the conventional BTC and improve degradation of the adaptive dynamic range coding, and reduce a computation load of the hybrid adaptive dynamic range coding. By results of simulation with CCIR standard images, the PSNR and subjected quality of reconstructed images of the proposed method was superior to those of the conventional adaptive BTC.

A TV ghost cancellation method using adaptive multi-path identification and its equalization IIR(infinte impure response) filter is proposed. The horizontal sync pulse and color burst is selected as reference signal. The multi-path is identified by this reference signal and LMS adaptive algorithm. The performance of this proposed method is compared with that of RLMS(recursive least mean square) filter method. As a result, a computational efficiency and good adaptation capability of the proposed method is verified by simulation.
