This paper presents structural analysis for a line hauler connected to a derrick, which can be detached in coastal trap fishery field. The allowable stress was derived at each step using the analysis result and was compared with results through the experiments. The FEM model contains 4 parts. which are FRP plate, line hauler, derrick and supporter. This analysis was performed by Solid works simulation Premium. The material properties of STS 304 were entered in reference to ASME Code Sec. II, and FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) was entered in reference to paper on Material today. In this study, the structural analysis also presents the actual use that attaching additional supports to the main supporter and stress concentration is reduced in ribs or notches where stress concentration occurs. As a result, the paper suggests attaching additional supports through reducing stress concentration on the structural analysis and presents the maximum value of von Mises effective stress on the model.
