The static pile load test is carried out to determine the ultimate bearing capacity of a test pile, in which is general processes consist of applying increments of static load to the test pile and observing the time-load-settlement curve recorded at each stage of loading and reloading. Although the pile load test provides various informations to predict the ultimate load of the pile, it has the considerable difficulty of requring a large amount of weight to enable the test pile to be loaded satisfactorily until the ultimate load is obtained. And also the conventional methods to determine the ultimate load, such as Bulter & Hoy’s method, etc., cannot give the accurate ultimate load, especially when the test pile was not satistactorily loaded up to the ultimate load. Therefore in the present study the conventional methods are investigated and compared with the Chin’s method, which furnishes more accurate results. The results obtained from this study are as follows : 1. For the load-settlement curve which has a small bearing capacity and an inflection point there is no problem for using the conventional methods to determine the ultimate load of pile. 2. The ultimate load by Van der Veen’s method is large than that of Terzaghi at the settlement of 25.4 mm, while for the allowable bearing capacity the former is smaller than the latter. 3. For the load-settlement curve showing the trend of progressive failure above the settlement of 25.4 mm, Chin’s method based on the mathematical theory is suitable for determining the ultimate load. 4. When the settlement of pile is less than 25.4 mm and the load settlement curve shows progressive failure, so that Terzaghi’s theory for the ultimate load of pile cannot be employed, it is recommended that Chin’s method be used in determining the ultimated load.
원전 냉각계통 배관 곡관부의 감육에 대한 비파괴적 평가

The pipes of the primary cooling pipe system in a nuclear power plant could be corroded by cooling water and wall-thinned by corrosion-erosion. Since this can be advanced to the leak of cooling water, it is very important to develop a nondestructive on-line monitoring technology on the base of elaborate inspection on the process of corrosion - erosion→ wall-thinning → leakage. In this study, wall-thinning phenomena by corrosion-erosion of a curved pipe, which is a KSD3507 carbon steel pipe, was nondestructively assessed under the condition of 50℃, 3.5wt.% NaCl solution, and flow rate of 5m/sec. The two online monitoring processes were tried to the wall-thinning assessment of the pipe by corrosion-erosion degradation; 1) vibration characteristics, and 2) electric characteristics. From the results, it was found that 1) the vibration amplitude decreased by corrosion degradation. 2) The DC electric potential difference gradually increased by wall-thinning due to corrosion-erosion mechanism.
동영상 복사본 검출을 위한 MPEG-7 Video Signature 성능분석

최근 언제 어디서든 동영상 컨텐츠에 접근할 수 있게 됨으로써 배포된 영상은 쉽게 복사되고, 변형되고 재배포 되어 저작권 보호에 취약하다는 문제점을 내포하고 있다. 따라서 비디오 복사본의 유사도를 검출하고 측정하는 방법들이 요구되어진다. 본 논문에서는 복사본 검출 기술 중 MPEG에서 표준화 한 MPEG-7 Video Signature를 이용하여 다양한 변화를 갖는 동영상에서의 다양한 분별력 분석을 하였다. MPEG-7 Video Signature는 블록기반의 추상화 방식이므로 동영상의 영역 변화에 대해서 취약할 것이라고 가정하고 실험하였다. 분석한 결과 실제로 영역변화에 대해서 일반적으로 일어날 수 있는 강도에서도 매우 취약함을 볼 수 있었다. In recent years, we can access to video contents anywhere and at any time. Therefore distributed video is easily copied, transformed and republished. Since it brings copyright problem, similarity/duplicate detection and measurement is essential to identify the excessive content duplication. In this paper, we analysed various discernment of video which has been transformed with various ways using MPEG-7 Video Signature. MPEG-7 Video Signature, one of video copy detection algorithms, is block based abstraction. Thus we assume Video Signature is weak for spatial transform. The experiments show that MPEG-7 Video Signature is very weak for spatial transform which could occur general as we have assumed.

The Angle Ring and Cap which is called pressboard are settled at the primary and secondary coil winding of 154 kV transformer that can reduce effectively distance of insulation. As it has not manufactured pressboard of Angle Ring and Cap for high voltage grade, insulation components industry especially high voltage transformer has not participate in a competition with worldwide yet. That's why is difficult to make an specialized shape of insulation components of high voltage grade. Therefore it has finally completed to make an deformation manufacturing utility using an bellowed special analysis tools. This study that uses various analysis program determining optimum shape about insulation of Angle Ring and Cap which is related life of high voltage transformer. In addition to develop forming equipment with an specialized five steps pressing. That is also based on the mechanical strength evaluation and test, it is investigated optimized processing components.

최근 구조물은 고성능, 고강도화 되어가는 추세이다. 콘크리트 건조수축은 콘크리트 내용년수를 감소시키는 균열을 유발하며, 초기 재령의 소성 건조 시 체적변화는 필요 이상의 장기간에 걸친 콘크리트의 건조가 원인이라고 보인다. 이러한 초기 콘크리트의 건조수축은 내부압력에 저항할 수 있을 정도의 강도를 얻지 못한다면 균열로 발전할 수 있으므로 초기 재령의 건조수축 모니터링은 필요하다. 하지만 기존의 모니터링 센서는 효과적이지 않고 정밀하지 못하기 때문에 본 연구에서는 반영구적이며 구조물의 시공단계에서부터 완공 후, 사용년한까지 계측을 지속적으로 할 수 있는 FBG 센서를 이용한다.

In roll forming process, a sheet metal is continuously progressively formed into a product with required cross-section and longitudinal shape, such as a circular tube with required diameter, wall-thickness and straightness, by passing through a series of forming rolls in arranged in tandem. In this process, each pair of forming rolls installed in a forming machine play a particular role in making up the required cross-section and longitudinal shape of the product. In recent years, that process is often applied to the bumper rail in the automotive industries. In this study, a optimal Front Bumper Beam manufacturing technology, model deign and proper roll-pass sequences can be suggested by forming number of roll-pass and bending angle. And also effects of the process parameters on the final shape formed by roll forming defects were evaluated.

신뢰성 기반 초 내열 내식 합금의 용접과 기계적 특성 평가

In this paper, electrochemical corrosion and corrosion fatigue crack growth characteristics of a multi-pass welded A106 Gr B steel pipe were assessed in a 5.0 wt% NaCl solution that was saturated with H₂S gas at room temperature. Two crack measurement techniques, the DCPD method and strain gage method were applied and compared their usefulness. From the results, corrosion rate increased with applied current increase, and corrosion fatigue crack growth rate in corrosion environment was larger than that of in air. Comparing two crack measurements, the strain gage method was more effective than the DCPD method because the DCPD method was variable according to the magnitude of applied current.
