In this paper, we designed the cylindrical type light source that had a electromagnetic principle of inductively coupled plasma, and measured its electrical-optical properties. Using the principle of transformer, electrically equivalent circuit of cylindrical type light source was analyzed. According to the parameters of electromagnetic induction which were diameter of coil with $0.3\~1.2\;mm{\Phi}$, number of turns with $4\~12$ turns, distance with $40\~120$ mm and RF power with $10\~150$ W, the electrical and optical properties were measured. When diameter of coil was $0.3\;mm{\Phi}$, number of turns was 8 turns and distance was 40 mm, the highest brightness of 29,730 $cd/m^2$ was shown with RF power 150 W. The relationship between electromagnetic induction and plasma discharges was shown by mode transition from E-mode to H-mode.
둥근형 무전극 램프의 페라이트 코어와 냉점의 온도 의존성

Generally Lighting system consists of lamp and luminaire. When a fluorescent lamp is installed in luminaire, power and light output is changed by ambient temperature. Particularly electrodeless lamp depends on the changes that are mercury pressure with amalgam temperature and magnetic properties with ferrite temperature. It has finally influence on optical efficiency. In this study, the temperature change of ferrite and cold spot, vessel are measured at transitional state and then same characteristics are measured with increase of ambient temperature. At transitional state, luminous flux is related to temperature change of cold spot that compare with behavior of mercury pressure and light output. At increase of ambient temperature, we analyzed change that efficiency and electrical, optical characteristics of elecrodeless lamp are related to ferrite core and cold spot temperature.
무전극 형광램프용 페라이트에 따른 전기적 및 광학적 특성

An electric power efficiency of electrodeless fluorescent lamp depens on a big relative property of gas, gas pressure, lamp formation, ingredients of magnetic substance and shape and action frequency etc. in lamp. We used magnetic substance that opens self-examination material of electrodeless fluorescent lamp antenna. We used Mn-Zn type as the Ferrite. We have examined resistance, impedance and Q-factor's frequency characteristic by ferrite. Coil turns were changed from 13 to 15 turns to recognize brightness change of lamp by winding number. Optical equipment (LS-100) was used to measure brightness. We could know Q-factor's difference according to material is important part of antenna design. When an electrodeless fluorescent lamp was made using T company's PE22, it showed the highest brightness. As number of winding is increased the brightness increased, and starting characteristic became good.

This paper has studied dissymmetrical light distribution design using the secondary optics in the simulation. fundamental Lambertian radiation distribution based on LED has been cut off by the secondary optics, and the first surface slope of lens and second surface slope of total reflection area have been calculated through formula. PMMA (the index of refraction: 1.49361) which is material of lens has been selected. critical angle($42.02993^{\circ}$) between Air and PMMA has been calulated by snell's law, and total reflection angle slope has been selected about $16.67^{\circ}$ to occur the total reflection. when the first surface slope and the second surface slope has been set up, Rays of all total reflection area have generated the total reflection. finally, designed LED Module has been estimated by Korean Industrial Standards for LED safety street lighting. dissymmetrical light distribution have been analyzed with reached effect of road illuminance, and average road illuminance which are each 70.6 lx, 40.35 lx, and 25.88 lx have been satisfied with Korean Industrial Standards for LED safety street lighting.
FR4 PCB면적과 Via-hole이 LED패키지에 미치는 열적 특성 분석

In this study, the heat transfer capability have been improved by using via-holes in FR4 PCB, when the LED lighting is designed to solve the thermal problem. The thermal resistance and junction temperature were measured by changing the dimension of FR4 PCB and size of via hole. As a result, when the dimension was increased initially, the thermal resistance and junction temperature was decreased rapidly, the ones was stabilized after the dimension of 200 $[mm^2]$. Also, the light output was improved up to maximum 17% by formation of via-hole and expansion of dimension in FR4 PCB. Therefore, the thermal resistance and junction temperature could be improved by expansion of PCB dimension and configuration of via-hole ability.

Recently, the demand of ceramic metal halide lamp has been expanded. Therefore, the lamp with high efficiency and long lifetime are increasing and the evaluation of reliability is needed. In this paper, the degradation phenomena of ceramic metal halide lamp was studied. The lamp was tested for 3000 on/off cycles with each cycle having a duration of 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off based on the accelerated aging experiment based on "Reliability Standards RS C 0085". As result, the corrosion of arc tube and leak was appeared from reaction between inner wall of PCA and chemical elements, and distortion of electrode was resulted from difference of thermal expansion between arc tube of PCA and electrode. Also, the efficiency of lamp was decreased by the change of inner pressure, operation temperature, and driving voltage from wall blackening.
