In this study, the energy demand of a building was compared and analyzed applying window U-value according to either standard test report or detailed calculation method based on the actual window size. After selecting a case building, actual size data of windows were collected. Then, U-value of each window considering the size of it was calculated according to ISO 12631 standard. Finally, window U-value according to either standard test report or detailed calculation method was applied to calculate building energy demand respectively. As a result, it was found that the effect on the energy demand was great, particularly on heating energy.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the balcony condensation occurrence environment considering occupant behavior. Field measurement at the balcony facing kitchen and outdoor was done in February. During the observation period, condensation mostly occurred when the balcony door was opened during the use of kitchen. Also, even though the balcony door was closed, condensation occurred when vapor producing activity was done in the balcony. But condensation did not occur for the all cases above. It is analyzed that condensation occurrence is affected by various elements such as indoor humidity, balcony humidity, balcony door opening time and degree, vapor production rate and time in the balcony.
